If moving to Townsville or QLDs Nth be prepared for the wet season where there's very high humidity for about 6 months, lower humidity QLDs south but still high.
Townsville is Crime City, it probably has the highest rate of house break ins in Australia. And the amount of d-heads on the road is amazing, the Townsville drivers get upset over nothing. I only drive into Townsville when I have to, always great to drive out of Townsville, and get back to peace & calmness

And if you own a caravan or a motor home and you need to get repairs done you can email the RV service centres, and I can guarantee from personal experience that you won't even hear from them. Not to mention the high crime rate.

Townsville was my home for 16 months. I miss most are the people strangers greet you in the street but like all places it has its flaws my biggest bugbear was Employers Not Responding to Job applications it took me four months to find a job which was managed by a boss who had no respect for boundaries/RDOs/fair work rulings and employment contract clauses. If it wasnt for this clown I'd still be living in this great city instead of having to moving back to New Zealand

Nice video we always go to airlie beach to holiday but tienville looks like a place to reside as its more affordable . The only thing stopping me is the bad reputation of theft break ins etc . I’m in Melbourne and this area is no better to be honest. Can you suggest some good suburbs. Where do you reside ?
@@kimberleydownunder I've lived here for 17 years and I've had three attempted break-ins. What I've discovered is that if you have your doors locked.. they don't try very hard. When I was head of the neighbourhood watch in the Douglas area. We found that most of the thefts were based on people leaving their cars or screen doors unlocked.

Another Real Estate agent here to hyper inflate the local market. Not much mention of the youth crime or the drunken soldiers or meth problem lol. Property in Townsville is already well on its way to catching up with the rest of the economy.

In addition.. as you could imagine since I'm a real estate agent.. I work specifically to get sellers as much money as possible. That's my job. That's what I do. That's why I get paid. So if my house is are selling for more then I'm getting paid for a good reason. That's why sellers choose me. 🤷
The dude forgot to mention the extreme high car thefts, house break-ins, even stabbing s and the over the top juvenile crime going on that the government can't seem to do anything about.
@@barrybrant3905 sounds pretty miserable, Barry. Personally, I have found this town a great place to live and while I've had attempted break-ins.. my locked doors have kept out thieves.
@@BiyaYahzluan You'll have to have a decent car to get to farms from JCU. There will be mango picking and work in the fields but you might have to drive an hour to get to it. My suggestion would be looking for work at a fast food place or at a shopping mall like stocklands. It's right down the road and you can take a scooter or a bicycle. There you can sell clothing or hand people sushi. There's also jobs in Townsville for taxi drivers always. It's not much fun but it pays pretty well. When you get here let me know and I can help you find some people who can help you find work.
