My guess as about the folded hands is that people just shut everthing down on them to be maximally open to receive as much as possible what is being given to them. Ultimate concentration in order not to loose any tiny particle of this act of love and grace.
You should dig into Begin Again Korea tour from a couple of years ago. Her and performers half her age travel through Korea and do impromptu performances. No big orchestra low key great performances songs like Flashlight-If I Ain't Got You-Stuck On You Misty and many more.

So Hyang has been approached by Sony Records and people like David Foster who wrote I Have Nothing but with her health issues and her religious beliefs she stays independent where she can control her schedule. She explained this in several interviews and tv shows. Great reaction.

Her version sitting down at the docks in the Begin Again Concerts is also incredible! I think it is admirable that So Hyang doesn't care to chase fame and fortune with her singing but sings for the comfort of others. So Hyang has been married since she was young to the same man, but that 'Hello baby' was a reference to Whitney Houston who often said that in her live performances of the same song. Whitney and Mariah Carey had a great influence on So Hyang growing up. If you haven't heard 'Misty' yet from her Begin Again concerts, it is worth the reaction. It is completely different.
You guys should have done the Begin Again Korea version. That one is the best one. It's worth going back and doing that version even if it's a repeat since it's the entire song and not an abbreviated version like this one is. Great reaction though.

Sohyang has been married for 25 years now. She married at 20, which is very young for Koreans to get married. Her husband is the same age. He likes to stay out of the media nuthouse that surrounds Sohyang whenever she makes a concert appearance. Can't blame the poor guy and I wonder how Sohyang maintains her sanity with it all! Sohyang currently refuses to enter the international singing world simply because she figures it would be overwhelming in its temptations to adopt a hedonistic lifestyle, so she won't even sign a recording contract with any of the really big recording corporations. Sony US, the second largest recording corporation in the world, was the latest that we know of who tried to bag her back in October 2020. Being a faithful Christian is far more important to her. I just wonder how many Koreans know they are listening to the greatest female singer in the world when they sit there in the audience and hear Sohyang sing for them? 😮👽🛸
