Hulk became a bigger legend of Atlético Mineiro than Ronaldinho, who won the Libertadores in 2013. That is his impact on the club. In 2021 Mineiro could reach the final but a mistake of a centre back and by the criterion of away goals scored (wich was banned in 2022) made the club be knocked out in the semi finals. Would be so epic! But Hulk stills a legend anyway.

He's 100% committed, is really nurturing towards the fans and his numbers are crazy. He's rarely injured, but he is right now and the difference is staggering, even though we also have Paulinho.

Not a mineiro fan but Scarpa is one of my favorite players, you think you guys can win libertadores if he comes back? I picked mineiro go win before the tournament started
@paullaserbeam As a supporter, you always believe that your team can win it all, but right now, no, I do not. Milito is too predictable in his strategy, and it showed when we barely snuck past a San Lorenzo team who are 27th in their own league right now and have 1 win in roughly their last 12 games. Until we up the tempo and shift the ball from side to side more effectively, I don't see us getting past River Plate in the semifinals. What good is a bunch of possession without moving the ball quickly to get through a team that will put 10-11 guys behind the ball.

What makes Hulk a legend to me is all the great work he has been doing to help the impoverished youth in Vitória. He has literally saved lives...salute!
I’m a Brazilian from Belo Horizonte and Atlético Mineiro’s supporter, and all I can say is: first of all, I’m very happy you made a video about him, and second of all this guy is a LEGEND. In only two seasons, coming here as an 34 years old, he easily already considered an idol. In fact, since he came to Brazil, he’s the single player with the most goal contributions in the league, with 74 in three and a half years, with the second one having 53. In regards to goals, he has 51 in them alone, while the second one has 40. All that in 108 league games, for 0.68 G/A per game, or a goal contribution each 124 minutes. Ps: just a small correction, but it’s not Mineirão Championship. Mineirão is the name of a stadium, which used to be the home for both Atlético Mineiro and Cruzeiro (it’s biggest rival), until the Arena MRV was finished a year ago. The competition is called Mineiro Championship (or rather, Campeonato Mineiro).
Never had an issue with players going for the money. As long as they feel like its the right move, well, its their life. Sure, as a football fan its always nice to see all the best players trying to reach their full potential at the highest level but again, its their life. I mean if vini jr were to accept that saudi offer, id totally understand it cuz damn, thats a whole lot of money lol.
I'm from Brazil, but don't support Atlético Mineiro (I'm Corinthians all the way), but I really like Hulk, his skills and mindset. Wish he had a better time in our national team. Great work, bro! PS: He and Atlético Mineiro are in the semifinals of Copa do Brasil this year.

Hulk is my hero. When Russia became the first wanabe super league and were offering insane contracts he signed a 4 year 350k per week deal which in 2012 was insane cash. That's what Mo Salah earns today 14 years later. Then when that contract expired the next wanabe super league was China so he went there and signed a 5 year 500k per week deal. I'm telling you right now I'd do the exact same thing 😂Take the money. Take the easy life. Everyone talks about legacy and wanting to be remembered. Nah money is better. Man, I do not have words to describe how glad I felt with this video. I am an Atlético Mineiro fan and, without a doubt, Hulk is one of the best players in our history, alongside Ronaldinho and Reinaldo. He never had the respect that he deserved here in Brazil, especially because in the early 2010s nobody here watched the Portuguese league. After he started being called up for the national team, he became really famous here, more because of his awkward body - huge ass - than for his football. For instance, after the 2014 WC, where he didn't deliver the expected, he became a joke in Brazil. After spending almost 8 years in alternative leagues, he finally came back to Brazil in 2021 and was really criticized at that point. The media and some fans were saying that he was finished and he was another player with a lack of technique. After some matches struggling to adapt to our football, he even considered leaving the club after less than 2 months here. His wife (yes, the niece) talked to him and convinced Hulk to stay and prove himself. After that, he cut his hair and started scoring goals and providing assists game after game. By the end of that year, he led us to the title of the Brasileirão (national championship) after 50 years, which even Ronaldinho failed to achieve, and to the title of the Brazilian Cup. To this day, at 38, he is considered the best player in the league and finally earned the respect that he always deserved. I hope he brings us the Libertadores this year, which is the only title missing for him. He is surely a legend of the game.
@@dressrosacr7 You meant to say "historically has always been a top 5 league". It's only with UEFA's new ridiculous coefecient, and with the injection of money into PSG, really, that it lost that spot.
I thought he was really signing for Chelsea back then.. Deal was almost complete, though not a Chelsea fan but really wanted to see him in the Europe's top league playing against the best defenders and midfielders... I know he would have been a hit anywhere he plays
He is probably the best player in the entire history of my native Russian leage, he was just a monster, especially against the rather average defense opponents team :D
Still has my friend! As an "atleticano" im ofended by the title! hehe i fucking love hulk, what a futebol player, made me cry with hapiness many times! he is right next to victor, cereso, eder, and some few others as one of the greatest that played in our team. but we have a king, and tha's Reinaldo, who besides being a genious that made us very happy and who we cried with us as well; raised his fist every gol, inspired by the determination of the black panthers and the socialists, as he said recently, and in solidarity with the political prisoners who were in the basements of the millitary dictatorship. He was cut from the national team because of that. For me, the GOAT! Can't wright it without crying. What an incredible human being and soccer player Reinaldo is!
Incredible numbers regardless of the level of competition. If he'd moved to Chelsea he probably wouldn't have played every week, made an insane amount of money, achieved an honours list that any player would be proud of and probably had better life experiences because of it. The so-called 'correct' path to the top is not always the best route

To this day, at 38, he is considered the best player in the league and finally earned the respect that he always deserved. I hope he brings us the Libertadores this year, which is the only title missing for him.
He is surely a legend of the game.
He had an amazing career 🔥
FOOTBALL is played all over the WORLD 🗺
He didn't waste his career. STOP DISRESPECTING FOOTBALL ⚠️
watch the last 20 seconds of the video lol
he could’ve easily played in a top 5 league, but unfortunately chose money over passion
The Portuguese League is occasionally a top 5 league
He may have burned out like the 7-1… he was smart to take the money perhaps, we will never know
@@dressrosacr7 You meant to say "historically has always been a top 5 league". It's only with UEFA's new ridiculous coefecient, and with the injection of money into PSG, really, that it lost that spot.
@jeanjacqueslundi3502 Even historically other French teams have done well in Europe not just PSG
@@dressrosacr7 But not better than portuguese teams. Not even talking about the trophies, but the ammount of times the go through in the CL etc.
He was somewhat known for be very one dimensional with the ball and a little ineffective.
They say the streets won't forget. Given Hulk followed the money it's safe to say the bank managers won't forget Hulk.
HULK SMASH.🔥.
I thought he was really signing for Chelsea back then.. Deal was almost complete, though not a Chelsea fan but really wanted to see him in the Europe's top league playing against the best defenders and midfielders... I know he would have been a hit anywhere he plays
Football Iconic Cameo
Wow
He is probably the best player in the entire history of my native Russian leage, he was just a monster, especially against the rather average defense opponents team :D
Bro became an idol in many clubs, and got rich asf, he is right
Please make a cole palmer video he was class last season
Legendary cameo
Do a keylor navas, no titles at age 27 or so, now has over 20 and a spot in the champions league all time greats.
Incredible numbers regardless of the level of competition. If he'd moved to Chelsea he probably wouldn't have played every week, made an insane amount of money, achieved an honours list that any player would be proud of and probably had better life experiences because of it. The so-called 'correct' path to the top is not always the best route
crazy 🙏
Make a video on Josef Bican we don't know much about him but still he scored 800+ goals in just 550 matches
