Sonic Generations - S Ranks & No Skills - Part 004: Megadrive Era Challenges

To progress to the boss you have to do one challenge from each stage whether that be act 1 or 2, so that's what I do. There's no real logic to what I pick, but I try for a bit of variety - I think I also go with certain music unlocks too.
I start with Amy's Challenge for Act 2 of Chemical Plant which involves usin her Pico Pico Hammer to somehow bounce Sonic off the floor (maybe this one is made of rubber). Get the timing lined up with the Sweet Spot consistently to get an S Rank. The music played here is a remix of Balloon Park from Sonic 3 (& Knuckles)
Next up I'm being chased by Tails in Act 2 of Green Hill Zone with a remix of Super Sonic Racing playing. There's a mix of new obstacles to hinder you, and new shortcuts added into this segment to vary it up a bit.
For the final key there's Sky Sanctuary Act 2 featuring assistance from Knuckles. I cut it close, but didn't realise that you had to reach the end of the level after collecting all the coins. I meandered a bit in the mid section, so better routing would make this an even easier S Rank.
The music is a remix of "You're My Hero" from the credits of Sonic 3D Blast on the Saturn.
With all three Keys you can take on the boss for this Time Zone, but first we'll take on a Rival from this era for a Chaos Emerald.
