Prime cro cop would be the person I would least like to fight. Dude was deadly and humble
Yea for a guy as cold as crocop to see him choked up really pulled at my heartstrings.
Crocop and Hunt old K1 fighters they don't make them like that now 💯
Him having a stroke after beating Nelson is crazy.

We will never forget the legend that is Mirko Cro Cop.
Seeing chael like that makes me genuinely sad
Why its not like he ever lost a fight
@@Cheesusrice69222 yep. He never did.
@@Cheesusrice69222 nope undefeated, undisputed
Don’t see why Chael’s was sad? He went out undefeated and undisputed! He never lost a round of fighting in his life. He was the only fighter to never let someone get close. He was truly the GOAT of all combat sports.
Lucius Pl he never actually had a fight they were all just one sided beat downs and Cheal was swinging the hammer.
Lucius Pl you’re something else you🤣
Lucius Pl Buddy you’re so dumb Chael is undefeated and undisputed it looked like a 300 pound man beating on kindergarteners
@@luciuspl1140 are you dumb? Chael is obviously the greatest fighter of all time by far! Don't even disrespect uncle chael like that
Lucius Pl
Man he let Jon win, he could’ve just make it to round 2 because he broke his leg with the biggest arms in the sport, then let Tito survive to tell the story and machida should be thankful that his knee was able to absorb that headbutt, undefeated Chael never lost a round GOAT
If Cormier loses to Stipe again, he makes it onto the list too. Despite his amazing accomplishments, he would likely feel unfulfilled.
Very true, only two fighters stood in his way to become the GOAT of those respective weight classes (as well as THE GOAT). He failed to reach that status in LHW, if he loses to Stipe, he'll fail to reach that status once again.
@@MrHu58 I disagree, he was a two-divisional champion which puts him on a very short list. It's not like he came up short over and over again like, for example, Chael Sonnen.
@@shko-mi I don't think Notorius pickle is wrong . . . nor did I interpret his post to imply that Cormier isn't in an upper echelon of accomplished fighters. He simply is saying that no one will think of him as the GOAT of the LHW division due to his losses against Jones, and the outcome of his next heavyweight fight with Stipe will determine his status as GOAT in HW.
@Hms Yeah. I would have liked to have seen him get a nice big payday, a win, and ride off into the sunset.
As much as I love him and Stipe, their trilogy and their injuries/recovery time is a big stall on the division.
The age of Ngannou is a comin'.
@Hms Haha, probably not. The list is about sad retirements. Jones will fuck up so bad one day that he will be jailed and barred from competing.
Watching this after balling my eyes out after the Anderson Silva retirement.
Brad Picket leaving his hat in the Octagon and chael Sonnen talking about his dad brought tears to my eyes
Tony retirement without getting a title shot will be the saddest.
@DEUS VULT of course man I mean people are already starting to crap on Habib for retiring but this video tells it all why it's a good idea to leave the sport or the sport will leave you
hi Peter
John Bryan you really think tony can beat Conor? Only way he beats Conor is if he goes to the ground. Other than that he would get destroyed
Chael is totally a champ for beating Paulo Filho in the WEC. It wasn't his fault that the incumbent champ was going crazy and missed weight.
I just saw an old Chael interview after UFC 117 that he fought Pablo with a broken arm
The chael thing was a travesty they forced him to retire so other fighters stood a chance
What are you talking about he sucked and he always did and the only time he did good was when he was on the juice. Wtf lol stood a chance wtf. Let the real fans talked.

This one hits home I started Muay Thai at 18 and moved to MMA at 21 and fought untill 24 the back injuries piled up and I walked away I tried again at 27 because I felt amazing while I was training I took a hard liver kick and I had a MRI done on the lower half of my body and they discovered I have degenerative disk disease it was hard for me to walk away I couldn’t imagine fighting that long that in the UFC and then having to retire
Every time I hear “I promised my father I’d uh..” I get a little emotional.
Bisping, Cro Cop, and Sonnen broke my heart honestly.
Love Tommy, dudes a legend. Little monotone here, but sometimes yt means you gotta hit the upload button. Great video and great script. I'm hype for more Tommy toe hold.
It's just an emotional video. He's not monotone at all. You can hear little fluctuations in his voice. Dude cares about these guys. He's just sad.
Tommy's never doing his show again and that's sadder than these retirements
@@binkleyme I think that's a matter for the listener to interpret. I heard it as a bit detached, but I'm hearing people are feeling the sadness. The Chael one I cried a little bit. 😢
Every one of these fighters deserve huge respect and kudos for their careers in such a harsh and unforgiving sport......so much hard work, so much training, so much damage to their minds and bodies........extraordinary people indeed

Chael Sonnen is the saddest for sure. Then Liddell. I wish we could have all been right there to say: "You were a giant. You are an inspiration, and may the wind always be on your back." None of us know what it meant for these guys to stop fighting, but they probably don't know how much screaming and cheering and love we have for them.

At least he came back
The way you described retiring and why it makes MMA so brutal really opened my eyes to how sad that must be for the fighters
