McGregor’s KO over Aldo will always be one of my favorite moments like that.
I remember being in a bar, back when I was a senior in college. The hype for that fight was real. The bar was jam packed, elbow to elbow. People donning clothing and whatnot in support of the Irish King. McGregor makes his way to the octagon, and 13 seconds after the fight had begun, McGregor took the gold from (at the time) the best P4P fighter in the world. Months of relentless mind games and verbal torture, only for it to end with him unconscious on the canvas. His winning streak and aura of invincibility shattered, as the dozens of people, along with millions around the world, screamed in applause for the new featherweight king.
It was just insane to be there and to see it live on TV the moment it happened. I’ll never forget it.

@@firdaus125 Not as good a fighter? Lmao his only loss that he hasn't avenged is against the most dominant lightweight of all time. How quick you fools forget. Just because his antics take up the media doesn't mean he isn't a great fighter. Holloway, Poirer, Mendes, Aldo, Diaz, Cerrone, Alverez. With only Holloway and Diaz managing to escape the second round with him. And don't give me that shit about Holloway and Poirer being young because Conor was extremely young as well and all of them, including Conor, have evolved immensely.

Werdum wasn't some UFC reject, he was a top BJJ guy, beat two of the top hype trains, Vera and Gonzaga, lost a close brawl to Arlovski and then a KO to JDS, who people mistakenly thought was a BJJ guy.
Dude had fought most of the top heavyweights in his first 15 fights. And Fedor was clearly getting old in fight years. I never got why people make such a big deal of it.
