Great stuff Paul. Your previous videos using pyrite and flint really inspired me to find other tinders to use with pyrite, as in Gloucestershire it’s hard to find horse hoof fungus anywhere, but Ganoderma applanatum (artists bracket) is plentiful and doesn’t need any processing, just drying out. I fluff it up with a notched piece of flint (or knife) into a small pile which catches a spark so quickly.
I’ve been told you built the bone camp at wildman woods campsite wales , if you did me and partner have been there a week and loved it ,best spot on camp I reckon 🙂👍
Ah that's fantastic! I did some 3 or 4 years ago! No idea what shape it's in now but that whole corner of the world is beautiful! Glad you guys had a good time there! 😁
@@paulsmithprimitivebushcraft it’s great as former stone mason I made the fire pit direct to heat to us two as I think it’s been messed with since you built it But definatly best spot so thank you for you’re skills , Rachel said that you were the inspiration for that spot 👍🙂

Good tutorial Paul, and a tip for you. Take a fine file to the spine of your knife, a sharp spine is a useful spine. Cheers buddy.
