A truly magnificent recital, brilliantly played on a fine organ. The dry acoustic of the room actually helped to enable the organ to be heard more clearly - in the quiet passages one can hear the individual pipes speak! The sensitive and well articulated performance of the Bach Trio sonata is one of the best performances I have heard for some time. Bravo!
Thank you so much! I remember I coupled the Spitzgamba 8' (on the II) to the Pedal Subbass 16' to obtain a "Violone" like sound quality for the bass line; and I was very proud of the effect: so I'm very happy now reading that you like my rendition of BWV 527! 😊 Where are you from?
Although English, I now live in the Auvergne region of France. I am an organist (not a very good one) and always like to find new ways to play familiar pieces. I play the Pachelbel Ciaccona, but the Bach is way beyond my ability!
