      This isn't the media. She is a Red Wings employee. This is Red Wings PR. Stevie doesn't have to dodge questions when he pre-approves the script.

      @edenisburning 2 года назад

      @@lg8182 LOL. Daniella Bruce works for the Red Wings media. Besides, Yzerman does plenty of pressers too and operates those in the same way. It's Steve Yzerman. He's always been a straight shooter.

      Guys, I love Stevie Y, but you can't say he doesn't dodge questions cuz he does. All the time. Hell, look back to the draft a month ago. Someone asked him where he was in the rebuild and his response was "well, I've been here 3 years, so I guess I would say we're in year 4 of the rebuild". If that's not a dodge, nothing is.

    I'm really excited for the new season! Both Detroit and G.R. will be really cool to watch all season! I hope alot of the younger players in Detroit like Zadina and Veleno find their games with the help of Derek Lalonde. It's a make it or break it season especially for Filip Zadina. Also, with the quality defensive-style defensemen that we're added during free agency, i'm hoping Filip Hronek will improve his offensive game as well to solidify as Detroit's #2 RD pair below Mo Seider. I think it will be a lot of fun to watch all players and prospects do this upcoming season, we are definitely blessed to have Steve Yzerman at the helm of this ideal organization, he has done an amazing job!!! We're so lucky and blessed to have him home we're he belongs! Can't wait for the season to start!❤️

      You are putting way too much faith into this roster.. Yes Perron, Copp are great players, but they are not a Mackinnon, or McDavid. It's not like they are generational talents that are superstars carrying their teams to cups. I do think we will be way better, but the Eastern Conference is completely stacked. We only got around 74 points last year, and the wildcard team had 100. I don't know if we will make the playoffs, I wouldn't even be upset, my expectation, is to fight for a playoff spot. If we make it, great, if we don't and we were very very close all season long, that's great as well. But to sit here, and say first round playoffs is a minimum is complete delusion, and you're setting yourself up for failure, and disappointment

      Dynasty? Take it easy. You can't even mention that word. Wings will be better certainly, but look at the top teams next year and remember that they will be just as good or even better. Yes, the future is so much brighter, but this team still has a way to go.

I believe they were living in Cranbrook at the time but they played with the Kamloops rep team. Of course we didn't know who he was back then and because he was a first year Pup player he wasn't even the best player on the team. Along with Bobby Orr and Joe Sakic, Stevie Y remains my favourite NHL player of all time.

Come back to this comment by next april, and I guarantee Kasper will be the best rookie in the SHL.

    Unfortunately with Bettman's NHL the NHL game isn't like it was in the 1980s and 90s anymore so I wasn't interpreting "harder to play against" as fighting guys constantly. I interpret it as making the other team pay a price on the forecheck, in the corners, and in front our net. Tampa does that. Every team at the top of the league is skilled. Toronto has skill. They're soft though and aren't hard to play against and that's why they don't win when it matters.

    • @jleif7736
      @jleif7736 2 года назад

      ... Man that is a bit of a stretch.. Yeah he played good 3 on 3 hockey, but that is by no means a metric for success in the NHL. The same could be said about Cossa underperforming at the 3 on 3 tournament. 3 on 3 hockey is very hard. The best NHL goalie in the league's save percentage, and goals against average would drop drastically if they only played 3 on 3 hockey. It's a lot harder to stop pucks with that much open ice. Just a little food for thought. There hasn't been a single huge name all star player to come from the Flint Firebirds, so their development is pretty meh, don't expect Lombardi to produce like that at a NHL level. This stuff is putting heaps of pressure on the rookies to perform to the couch sitting fans expectations

      He is going to the Islanders. Its not yet Official yet but, insider reports have him going there. He will be signed today or tomorrow. Here is a quote from the islander ------> ‘' Just got off the phone with a guy that knows & I think that Nazem Kadri is done to @NYIslanders They have to clear out some cap room & then it'll be announced. I'm FAR from an Insider but I'm very confident that it's done. Great signing by NYI & Nazem Kadri deserves every penny.''
