In this video I show how to replace a window winder mechanism on a Vw Polo 1, it is frustrating when this happens, not only is it an inconvenience but a safety threat too as one now cannot securely leave this vehicle safely parked.

Added the door lock pin back as well, so you can lock from inside again. I use a bit of silicone spray on the runner felt before putting the window back, after washing them to get most of the dust out, so the window slides easily. Also a bit of grease in the cable mechanism helps a lot, the manufacturers always skimp on the amount of grease they put in there, and this makes them stiff.
Now, just got to fix the rear door track on mine, so that I can open the window again.

I have a problem on a 2013 Polo Vivo 1.6. The car have a missfire. After driving 350km the EPC light suddenly came on. After i switch off the car and start again the light is gone and after another 80km again the light came on. Took the car to a mecanic and after scanning could not fine any problem but suggested that i put Injector cure in. Driving again 360km same story. Again scan the vehicle and it shows a missfire on all 4 pistons. Where can i start looking for the problem. I search a lott of video's on youtube but could not find anything helpful. Could it be the catalytic converter. I would appreciate all the help i can get.
Have the coils checked.

If it is just the winder handle then no.
That cast iron part broke off the part where u put on the handle
You have to replace the whole unit in that case, sorry
How do you do this but with an electric front door? Xxx
The procedure is the same only instead of a mechanical winder, there is an electric motor to activate the window.

if you do not have the confidence to attempt the procedure best to leave it to a mechanic.
