  • Mark Fitzsimons from Tualatin Riverkeepers shows you what to expect when paddling the Tualatin River from the Farmington Paddle Launch. Farmington is a good spot to launch from, but there are a few things you should know before launching from here.

I love the enthusiasm, Mark! Can’t wait to launch my SUP on the river!

Hi, Ava, apologies for the delayed response...thanks so much for your support! Have you had a chance to launch your SUP yet?

@@tualatinriverkeepers Shore did! (See what I did there?!) we’ve launched a few times at Cook Park and also at Farmington / River Rd. Both great experiences!

Great content! One suggestion: When indicating the launch amenities, it would have been nice if the video cut away to show what you're pointing at.
I'm looking forward to checking out more of these launches on the the Tualatin!

Thanks, Eric! We often show some of the amenities (Ie, for Farmington, the kiosk with free loaner PFDs), but we could do a better job of showing restrooms and parking areas, etc. Thanks for reaching out and hope to see you out there on the Tualatin!

You also might mention that the walk down to the actual river launch is long, steep and winding. In your video as you walk past the picnic tables you say the walk is flat. That is only at the tables. I'm glad I scouted it as my Canoe weighs almost eighty pounds and I would have a heck of a time trying to carry my canoe up that trail all by myself.
