Save the American River from Contract 3b

In the summer of 2024, the USACE plans to remove 2 miles of riverfront along the American River, including over 500 trees.

This video is so important as it points out the serious issues with the project. Why haven’t nature-based solutions been evaluated? I know for a fact there are better, less destructive methods that aren’t being considered, especially for as precious as the Wild and Scenic area is to people and the animals alike. Thanks for getting this knowledge out there!

I heard bits and pieces about this project. I had no idea how much it will decimate the shores of the river! I am definitely going to become involved with this. It's hard to believe that human beings can be so stupid but I guess it's so.
