honestly. djay pro is now my favorite DJ Software... I was waiting for a smart Controller for Djay... and this tiny things looks super promising... well done reloop!
Exactly my thoughts. Serato has been on the virtual shelf gathering virtual dust since Djay Pro 5 was released.
$500 is not cool if thats the actual price
@@littlefela6889 @littlefela6889 £384 in the UK. That's going straight into my basket!. Take £50 off of that as it unlocks Djay Pro and that's a shade over £300. Now that's a good deal.
I am certainly going to check it out upon release
This combined with a pair of the Denon DJ LC6000 decks would make for a potentially great modular controller setup.
This looks sick!! Can’t wait to try it! For those complaining about the price reloop mentioned that it unlocks DJ pro without the need for a subscription! So you will be saving in the long run, plus good build quality with a great audio interface built in! I will be picking one up for sure
okay paid shill
The use case I see this working, is just leaving In your bag all the time. I conceal carried a Traktor X1 everywhere I went and it was a god send at after party’s
Absolutely love everything about this device. The power passthrough they should sell more.
okay Reloop shill
Please make sure to change that cheap plastic silver knobs with something rubbered, for that expensive price it's not acceptable. cheers
Thanks I was hoping for a video like this to Gina little deeper into the Mixtour pro. I have the OG and live it. Looking forward to this one.
A week ago, Laidback Luke reacted to a comment of mine that I should wait for this device to be announced this week before considering to buy the Traktor X1 MK3. And I must give him that, it certainly looks very interesting. But also incredibly stuffed and cramped. The price is a stretch but I can live with that if it offers mainstage quality and plenty of pro features. The workflow looks challenging though. Not all that intuitive (I rather have a single encoder than a loop in, out, exit button) and it looks like a device you really have to learn inside-out to get the best out of it. It doesn't look all that hot either, the X1 MK3 is definitely more pleasing and welcoming on the eyes. Still great to see these new developments though that break the horrible Pioneer deadlock. Can't support this enough.
Yeah, it's a hot, hot mess compared to the X1
Get the X1 as well. I currently use the X1 and the Mixtour together. It’s everything you would ever need for all the controls with Djay pro
Stop comparing to an x1
This is a x1 +z1 + f1 together
At least
@@djestrela2 The X1 MK3 is deliberately marketed as a standalone DJ controller that uses a club mixer for its sound.
@@Drrolfski my point exactly. the mixtour is not
so please stop comparing to an X1
A lot of “pro’s” here ripping into this thing without trying it out :) im open to this thing. I was skeptical when vinyl moved to cdj, but here we are and I was wrong :)
can't wait!
$500?! That's a lot of money for an updated Traktor X1!! Definitely needed an update but there's still way too much tapping this and bending that in order to do this etc. at a $500 price point, that real estate should be used in every which way to eliminate all the modes and shifts etc.
A well needed update, and the portability of it is amazing plus the Nural Mix button is nice. But that price point man! Just to DJ on an iPad?!
To be fair, it's not just an X1. It's an X1 and Z1 in one device.
i said the same thing no one but laidback like is going to use this in 4 deck mode i know my mixtour back and forth but without 4 faders forget about it anf for $500
@@Traumadj I do House. So I would rock 4 decks. That's a nice quality of life fix. That's not the problem. The problem is 10,000 maneuvers for stuff that can have its own button if the real estate was used right. It's like having a small apartment with a big yard and paying premium prices for it. $500 is basically TWO FLX-4s which technically do the same thing with less moving around.
I mean Luke is a huge deal because it's got Reloop moving out of their own budget minded way. It is a huge leap for them. Let's hope they continue to innovate for better control of DJay!
I like this thing I wish it is $100 Cheaper. So it says it will hardware unlock Djay Pro AI Pro mode if that’s true then you save $50 a year. It’s essentially the same price as the old model if you rock this thing for at least 3 years. I don’t mind the shit and mode complexity because all these just provide you a quicker access to the awesome features without toggling on the ipad screen. Shit and mode is way faster trust me. I hope that reloop implements mapping properly for 3/4 channels. I need the shared channel fader controls to be protected until the original position is restored. Otherwise every time I toggle on one channel and want to change the fader on the shared channel the fader position will suddenly change. That was the whole shift control frustration. If they don’t fix that, I will just use the X1 to control channel 3/4
This is not an updated x1
This is an x1 + z1 + f1
I was actually hoping for a pro version of the Buddy/Ready. Something still very compact but still having the main features strictly seperated onto 2 decks. But I know I will be a sucker for this once this is out😂
Same. I’m nervous about switching to a controller that doesn’t have jog-wheels (how will I find a good cue-point for my next track?), but there are some features that are extremely enticing about this…
At a glance I don’t mind it as alternative portable back up being a long time Algoriddim Pro user but the price especially in Aus dollars which comes to $760 AUD is a bit expensive..
I’ll stick with my Reloop Buddy as a back up to the Rane One..
Not sure what the output is but it doesn’t look like it has XLR’s,, but I could be wrong
Kudo’s though for the design
The the past I d'ed at weddings using a club mixer and a traktor X1 mk1 with my custom midi mapping in Djay Pro. I preferred that over CDJ's as I don't play cd's. The Mixture Pro looks very promising.
This would be great for our mobile outdoor events like tail gates, car shows, picnics, etc.
That price tho.. $500 US or $700 Canadian.. thats insane..
Listed for 999 in canada
Not really considering the build quality and audio quality. Plus it unlocks DJ pro all features, so no more subscription!!
It looks like the designers and product managers wanted a mixer but the company said, nah that money is better spent on laid back luke
Really debating on getting this once released. Very compact, and looks easy to transport. I’ve been playing with the idea of moving on from the Kontrol S8
Biggest question is what tha faders like? 😩
The same 5 companies that are owned by the same umbrella company making the same things over and over just with a different brand name and refusing to innovate. I haven't been impressed by a single thing I've seen at Namm yet this year.
That's a damn sexy little mixer! I would really like to test one for combining my old vinyl with virtual tracks. I like the stripped down basic design and its portability. Looks great on screen, but I would like to see how durable the build is and I wonder what ti's pre-amp sounds like.
Totally buying this!! I hope the audio output is better than the last reeloop moxer that was issue with it. Love the new layout!!
If you really care about sound then just invest in a decent dac with xlr outs and route the audio through that.
Very Nice cannot wait to get it.
Should have atleast audio inputs for both channels, this would be such a cool device if it could work like a standalone mixer
I really like this device. It reminds me of a little Akai device I had many years ago that was like this but this does much more. The only problem was the price, I was shocked when he mentioned 500 dollars.
When is thing finally dropping? It’s driving me nuts waiting!
Wait no more!
Price is t∞ high for a portable midi controller/audio interface. This inspires me to just build my own midi controller with a Bela board
Bela board?? Hmmm.
yep, the Bela development board is made for low-latency control and audio processing.@@dmp4096
Twice the price of the old one = ouch!
1. This should/could of been 4 channel and still been compact (4 faders & deck controls). Though don't understand price, you can get controllers with more function than this at less cost.
2. Laid back Luke only needs a play button to start/stop prerecorded set.
3. If only Traktor X1mk3 had audio inferface inbuilt (like z1) & compatable with their traktor dj app, they could make it cheaper also.
This is great to replace my akai amx
I will buy 2x
I like it - at $500 I wish it had XLR instead of RCA.
RCA been the standard for technics decks for 40 years
@imusiccollection that was the 80s and 90s - today, most Pro gear have XLRs
Route the audio through a decent dac with xlr outs - this is what I do with DJAY and the controllers I use with it.
is it compatible with virtual dj ? they should make one with a 4 channel
how do you jog/scroll through the track without any jogwheels?
Did you guys beef up the sound card?? The first version of this has a weak soundcard output compared to my Traktor Z1.
Following Laidback Luke is getting cheaper, but still have my full denon setup and I just love them 😮😅😊
500 notes that’s a lot 300 laid back Luke must be being paid a lot
i told laidback luke this on instagram its too expensive and it took forever to be put out
@@Traumadj I think is a brilliant idea but a lot of money for a small single unit that you have to use a lot of shift short cuts.
They should of done a copy of the traktor d2 and sold a pair for 500 if it was 200 or 250 notes I would of got one but 500 out priced them selfs
@@johneccles9051 yep
The original only fault it never had pitch push pull .. 500 quid is 300 more than the original
Its 344 online
I like it, I want it, but one thing that I honestly don't like is the PRICE
With the same price I can get way advanced controller with proper buttons and still get my changes
Can u hook a turntable up to it
Wonder will this take an entire year to hit retailers like the Mixon 8 lol.
Looks like the screen is not switching according to the buttons or functions. He activated Neural Mix and you could see the 3 faders on the screen. Then he turned off Neural Mix but the the Neural Mix faders were still visible. Especially on an iPad it should only show the functions you've activated .
My guess is that the screen will change according to function only via the pad modes. What he activated was Neural Mix EQ Mode and I believe he opened that screen just for demo purposes since the EQ knobs in the screen are way to small to film
So I noticed that when he tapped the Neuralmix button, dJay Pro went to that part of the app on screen. I want to know if I can map other buttons to bring up the hot cues, for instance. The mappings for a DDJ-400 don’t seem to do that…
It is an „inside“ mapping for Reloop. It works on the Buddy as well for all the Performance pads modes. But you can‘t find this feature in the official mappings to make it work with other controllers.
Can you use vinyl decks with this too?
Can’t be used with DVS?
can i combine it with cdj players in hid mode ?
Nice bit of kit, but with a price like that, it looks like they have poached someone from the Pioneer marketing team! 😧
Any mic input?
looks like TRAKTOR Z2
will it work wit pioneer crss12?
Mic inputs?
bring it Serato dj support !
"Like a Mixon 8" except the transport buttons are not mirror image
I feel like this is getting close. In all seriousness. Make a ddj400 but replace platters with a endless knob.
$500 is WAY too much for this!
will it help Laidback Luke play decent music?
Could be interesting but there is no compatibility with android devices yet, reloop do something please. Note: compatibility is not mean work on android only, compatibility is I can have all the functionality on android, especially headphones out independent from main mix. Ps: price is expensive
Idk why, but, when I hear that devices are still not standalone, it's a real turn off. 😒
I enjoyed the mixtour. Too much button pressing when you’re in the flow. Switched to A&H. Much easier.
Would love this as a portable option but the price just isn’t there for me. It’s a pro price for what could be a gateway option to new or returning casual djs. I’m talking about the masses not those who Dj professionally or love the hobby. I would still have one but will wait for lower pricing or second hand market
Just get a used mix tour mk1
done got too greedy. not worth. should have had dedicated hardware for all decks instead of modes and shifts, especially at that price. 250 for 2 deck, 500 for 4.
Reloop blows
the only thing that might save the situation is to unlock DJ pro, not having to pay a subscription, if that's the case then somehow it justifies its price.
unfortunately the differences are small compared to the previous version, they could do much better and I hope for this price the sound card has good quality, not crap like the previous one.
for now the A&H xone k2 is still the king of the category, it really has 4 decks and a very good quality sound card for its price. it also costs €150 which is cheap and supports many software like traktor, VDJ etc.
It unlocks Djay Pro but only all the features that the Mixtour Pro covers. For more features you still need the subscription (I guess more effects and stuff)
Funny - I am buying the Yamaha Seqtrak for $399 in black
feeback please .
Just get the Reloop Buddy controller man. It’s not that much bigger. They’re really overdoing it trying to make “fetch” happen.
Soundquality of the Buddy is just awful. No controller that you can use in a club or on stage. But I would have prefered a Buddy Pro as well.
The problem with devices like this is that you're buying into the muscle memory of one guy.
Why spend all that time relearning a new layout of controller (vertical pads), when 99% of controllers for the past 15 years have been horizontal.
It's far too busy and inelegant.
Learning it you will have a lovely time
Because it is 100% portable
I have an akai amx, which I used so many unexpected times
I’ve used the original mixtour for 6 years and it’s so good at deejaying with, all you need in the smallest space and rock solid. Practicing is rewarding and pays off.
IOS? Most used system on earth is Android, so big mistake!
Xone K2 does it all and better, for 10 years
No neural mix though
It’s too cluttered. If it was four channels, and had DVS capability man, it would be a killer. It would be an awesome mixer that anybody could use and separate the four channels with individual controls. Now that’s a product you should make.
This is a terrible controller, in my opinion, for $500. The only plus to me is that it is small. 4 decks with 2 volumes and a cross fader. Seriously, as small as it is, why not 4 volumes for all decks??? The biggest problem is... having to press buttons some many times to use all the functions. Playing/djing with it shouldn't be that hard. Honestly, the price sucks. If everyone at the reloop company had to pay for their own products they would understand the consumers spending for new gear a lot better. As a dj that uses djay pro the goal for me is to not over think while playing. Respectfully my opinion.
Just wait until Laidback Luke wholesales this thing and claims this thing is the ‘future.’
Just watch!
Yes it’s too many buttons on a small space plus just press this and shift then turn this and change that No F that
It could be cool if they allow you to combine two of them together to allow full four deck capabilities. For a cool $1000
These days, even the “simplest” DJ mixer has more effects on there than ever.
Unless you scratch, you lose nothing here
Wack
If this is exclusive to Algoriddim...No Thank you.
I will give you $50
Un trasto. Sin Jogwheels, never purchase anything
Sync is your friend, and it has nudge
Don't buy it
I don’t get it. How is any of this better than just rocking up to a venue/festival with a USB? Luke is selling redundant/superfluous, pointless gear here IMO
Oh man... you don't understand the creativity this type of kit brings out in the right hands. Sorry you don't see the beauty in it.
@@davidforbes9559 yeah. That must be it
He explains why if you watch all the videos with the old and new mix tour in@@sammyjaymes
This is piece of equipment I've been waiting for a long time, but I would never pay $500 for such a small midi controller.. Highest at $250 willing to pay
