- This is an unboxing of a Selmer Jubilee Super Action 80 Series II Alto Sax. There are a few design changes from the original Series II as well as a new mouthpiece included instead of a C*. The unboxing of the mouthpiece will be in a separate video.
That "old swab" is not a swab. It is a pad saver. You first swab out your horn (with an actual swab), then insert the pad saver and store the horn in the case with it inside. It absorbs moisture the swab left behind and acts as an end cap to protect your octave key mechanism.

Hey, just to let you know, (unless you found out by now) the long fury thing you were holding is called a pad saver and its for separate use with the swab. Its ment to keep the pads and tones holes from gathering moisture. hope you didnt get rid of it :)

This saxophone costs brand new between €4.000 and €4.500.
It is also out of the production rnge of selmer because they only made the jubilee for their 125th anniversery. They ve sokd it for 2 years i think.
There wount come a new jubilee version of the super action 80 series 2.
I bought this sax for 2.500 euro`s and i`m verry statisfied.

you don’t get a horn (especially a selmer) relacquer
I've played trumpet for 2 years( since 6th grade) but if I were to get an alto would it feel or sound (the tone QUALITY not the actual sound) like a trumpet? Or would it be like learning a wind instrument for the first time?
Well trumpet is extremely different in terms of embouchure, so it would be exactly like learning a new instrument. You would probably sounded like a dying cow (like we all did starting out).

I'm aware, playing the trumpet is not at all like playing the saxophone. You will not sound like a trumpet you will sound terrible.
Ok and is it hard to learn the sax? Cause I learned the trumpet pretty easily

Selmer is the best horn if you have the money to pay for
My friend loves Yanagisawa but I don't like Japanese sax‘s sound. I like Selmer much better.

Here here! There are too many variables, and the possibility of over buffing is too great. This can completely destroy the overall mechanics of the horn. Besides, Lacquer is overrated. 8-)
Beautiful horn man. If you played it before buying and liked it thats all that matters. Call me crazy but i was in the market for a horn and was looking to spend in the 5k range. I played a bunch of horns from refference 52's to series 3s to yamahas and yanigasawa's(spelling?) But I actually ended up getting a selmer lavoix 2. Not the best horn but i liked the way it played it to me it sounded the best. I love my horn. Had the chance for a selmer paris but for some reason I preffered the lavoix 2 and It's lasted me many years lol. good luck.
