As I have done for other consoles, I decided to start a project to test out every English PS3 physically released/retail disc games (mainly focusing on NTSC-U region, but I will be testing other region's exclusive games as long as they are in English and perhaps a few others not in English if they are highly regarded and seem interesting to me). I will be testing games in alphabetical order. I will be rendering the games in 4K (some games at lower resolution if they run poorly at 4K on my PC) via the RPCS3 emulator. The PS3 is one of my favorite consoles, so I am stoked to do this project!
Note that at this time not all PS3 games are compatible with the RPCS3 emulator, but the awesome RPCS3 devs are constantly working to make more games playable.

    MY PC SPECS:
    - AMD Ryzen 7 5700G CPU (24,689 multithread / 3,286 single thread PassMark score)
    - NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB Graphics Card
    - 32GB DDR4 3600MHz (PC4-28800) CL18 Desktop Memory
    - SSD storage (NVMe)
    - Windows 10 (I tried Windows 11 shortly after it released and found it to be too buggy for what I mostly do on PC, so I reverted back to Windows 10)
    ---------
For my standard testing, I only change around a few of the emulator's default settings. Here's what I do:
    - Settings / GPU
    Resolution Scale (Disable Strict Mode): 300% (3840x2160) -- i.e. 4K rendering
Output Scaling: FidelityFX Super Resolution (I leave the RCAS Sharpening Strength at the default 50%)
    Vsync: Checked/on
    - Settings / Advanced
Exclusive Fullscreen Mode: Prefer exclusive fullscreen (I get more stutters if it is set to borderless)
    - Settings / Emulator
Show PPU compilation hint: Unchecked/off (I just don't like it popping up on the screen)
Show shader compilation hint: Unchecked/off (same reason as above)
Some games require more adjustments to get them to work. See my comment for this video for the details.

Here are the notes I took when testing this Bakugan game out: "Playable" according to the official compatibility list. The Wiki mentions to go to RPCS3's audio tab and turn off "Enable buffering" in order to fix broken audio. You'll also need a controller that supports the SIXAXIS tilt feature (such as a PS3 or PS4 controller--I use a PS4 controller for my testing). The forum postings for this game mention the audio fix. An older posting says to enable Write Color Buffers, but I am not sure that is needed anymore--we'll see when I test.
Initial testing with RPCS3 0.0.32-16614 = The game runs fine at full speed (30fps for this one) while being rendered at 4K on my PC. However, most of the game looks like it is being rendered in native resolution for whatever reason (there are times when it definitely looks 4K though. Interesting). Ready to do a recording.
06/17/2024: I did a recording using RPCS3 0.0.32-16614 and the game ran well for the most part. The first few battles everything was great, but then when I battled the nerdy kid one part of the screen during my pre-battle selections was corrupted and my profile picture in the top-left of the screen also became corrupted for the rest of the time I played the game. I am unsure what caused this to happen half-way through playing. It didn't impact being able to play the game at all though.
