It’s great that they do these videos about shops n stuff but everyone knows skaters won’t be able to reasonably buy this upcoming dunk
Its a shame but I'm not sure what nike could do easily to ensure this only gets to skaters anyway. Its just the way the life goes. They're already releasing them only at skateshops so at least the skate scene will see some benefit from it.
@@Alex-lq1uf nike just needs to release a few color ways that aren't limited quality, simple as that. They'll make more money than they are making now off of dunks
@@philipp0822 I don't have any facts or figures to debate this so you are probably right but in the long term by creating this artificial scarcity for sbs, more people will want to get their hands on a pair. I would love for nike to drop some simple colourways in large quantities because theyre one of my favourite silhouettes.
@@Alex-lq1uf I don't mean like make all of them more readily available you know? Like Jordan 1s, some are limited quality and some aren't, like that. So you still got the hype beasts sitting 24hrs in front of their computer just to get one pair of shoes, but you also got the skaters who can buy a pair whenever they need one. I don't think it'll really fuck with the current system, as long only a few are readily available
@@philipp0822 Yeah thats exactly what I mean man. They can keep the hyped releases but have some on the side that anyone can pick up to skate in.
Legend has it this shop once had a pair of Dunks in stock
With the dedication of the Hachiko pup, I drove 2 hours round-trip everyday to a local enough skateshop in a little industrial town with a skatepark. Day after day, I skated the park down the street from the shop, all day hoping to cop this shoe when they dropped them in-store randomly first-come-first-serve without an announcement, as the predicted they would on their instagram. Got super lucky on the 4th day and came up on the shoe just chilling on the wall with the other SBs. Then I swapped the blue laces in and took them to the skatepark to skate. Not skate in, but nonchalantly place in-frame of shots of tricks at the park. Thanks for this one Japan, much respect to the Japanese skate culture, Hachiko, and the Instant skate family, and shout out Homebase610 for the sneakers.

J Shane May that’s so sad half a year ago I had some old dunks back at home that I didn’t wear and so I skated them. Then I saw they are worth 400€
yeah now nikesb support hype beasts and not skateboarders. it should be a NikeHB shoe. 3rd generation.
Except Nike SBs aren't for skateboarders anymore they're for hypebeasts and resellers. Hell, even when they "were for skateboarders" any nice pair resold for $250+

Yeah kinda think of stoping skateboarding cuz of all that hype around the dunks makes me kinda sick cuz it was the only shoe I’d skate for around 15 years but now it’s just a pain in the ass to get atleast one pair Nike should overthink that shit
