Mortar and pestle vs food processor!

When I made my green pepper powder, I tried to grind it with both a mortar and pestle and with a food processor.
I 100% thought the food processor would win out, so I was surprised when its grind was not as fine as the mortar and pestle's.
I think going forward I'll do a two step process where I'll start with the food processor to save some time and effort, and then finish it off with the mortar and pestle to refine it a bit.
Let me know what you've used or experienced.

What M&P do you use? Looks clean and fine

I just got it from a stall at a Renaissance festival haha, so I don't know much about it beyond that
