He told me they strive to make the products that contain beyond meat to be very consistent in taste and experience, whether you get a wrap, breakfast sandwich, etc. They engineered it to be very consistent which is why you had a hard time choosing the best out of each :D

Thanks so much Ken for reviewing these. I can't believe you did all 3. But then again, I shouldn't be surprised at your appetite at this point. LOL @ the drive thru girl @1:19 "ALL of them?!?"
I mean, they only just work there. It’s not like they’re managers. Most fast food workers don’t care about their company’s creed or business models. Just there to make a check.
Doctor Mike tried the Beyond Meat burger (along with the Impossible Burger and other vegan options) and he pointed out that they were higher in sodium (and sometimes other things) and generally not that much better for you than beef (since he was doing a burger challenge) and don't really fool you about what they are. They might work better in a sausage because of all the added flavoring helping to disguise the 'vegetableness'. BTW, did Ken especially enunciate "out and about" towards the end to not sound like the typical Canadian "oot and aboot???" ;-)
I'm not vegetarian but can't eat red meats without suffering in the ER the next day! So I LOVE these beyond meat patties. The A&W ones, and these. I liked most veggie patties before I got sick too, which might help. But I loveeeee them so much
Honestly, the worker shouldn't have said anything. It's a good way for her to lose her job if corporate sees this video. She can be honest, but don't do it on camera.
she seemed kinda dumb to me tbh. this guy is coming to do a review on YOUR product. Let HIM decide what he thinks of it. he didn't ask for your opinion.
Tim Hortons employees are sometimes embarrassed of the food they're serving. Their food has gotten really bad here in Canada. I probably would have subtly said something negative about it too if I was serving it to him for the purposes of it being reviewed. It's feels shameful to charge people money for something that's not good. Good on these people for speaking their mind and not selling their soul for minimum wage.
I agree 100% with what the employee's said they smell especially when you cook the raw patties, but the taste was acceptable. I prefer the impossible products much better, but neither would make me give up meat, but I would eat them as a supplement to my diet, but not a replacement.
It smells and tastes like their sausage, which I never liked anyways but it was comparable. It's over seasoned and salty but so is their real sausage. I'm in Nova Scotia.
This dude is a fast food veteran he checked his order before departing. I never do that and a couple of times my order was incorrect. And by the way I appreciate you reviewing non meat items.
This is a pretty interesting video to me because, about 5 years ago my husband and I stopped eating pork. Mainly for religious reasons ect, but I sure do remember it and and miss it sometimes.... I'd like to try those...especially the English muffin with egg. I love love English muffins. Too bad we don't have Tim Hortons here in Washington St
Best video of the day for me! I haven’t watched your videos in a while and now I’m hungry! Big like!!! Time to run out and get some grub!! Hope there is a Tim Hortons in Austin, Texas....
Next time I'm at Timmy's, I'm going to have to try these. Zehr's even got some Beyond Meat patties in, so I've been eyeing them to snatch one up when they go on sale. I can't eat meat anymore (I get very sick from it :( I didn't choose it), so I've been waiting to see your reactions to the fast food vegan/veggie "burgers" as you give them a fair and unbiased review as a meat-eater instead of just saying "ewww it isn't meat".
Last day of the rib fest ken. Come out and have some bbq from various venders. I’m in the only American booth setup on sparks street. Starts around 11am est ends around 7pm est. Ribs, pork, brisket, chicken, corn beard muffins and more.
I pop my truck into park if the wait is more than 5 minutes . I'm so glad you tried the Beyond Meat sausage patties. I can't eat any mammal meat because of Lyme diease, and miss eating sausage so much. I'm glad you liked the taste and you're right, that biscuit looked so good with the lettuce and tomato . Cheers...
Was hoping you’d do a video on these! Always enjoy the meatless videos (and I enjoy knowing you’re getting a bit of a healthier meal, and sparing an animal in the process)! As for why I’d choose the Beyond sandwich over the traditional - I do it for the animals, but there are also plenty of health benefits. The sodium is fairly high, but it’s fair for something that is meant to be more of a treat. We as humans aren’t meant to gorge ourselves on meats or meat substitutes (or any processed foods) so many times in a day. Great review, Ken! 💚
I love that you recommended the vegan one the most! Hell yes! I love your videos but as a vegan I can’t eat much (but I can live through you temporarily). I wish we had Tim Horton’s, I think they do at moa, but I don’t think they have these sausages! 💘
If I have to choose I always go with the farmer's wrap because of the sauce & hashbrown. My go to though is always on a bagel. Hopefully they allow the beyond meat on the bagel.
it always bothered me when i worked at a hotel and prepared the continental breakfast, the eggs came as a powder that you added water to. Mmmmm powdered dehydrated eggs, yummy
As a vegan employee at Tim's, I really like the patties personally and yeah they do smell but of the spices they use to flavour it. The grease that comes from it turns off my coworkers but when you think about the grease that comes out of the regular sausage, its literal melted animal fat which is grosser lol
Timmies making one of the best coffees around?! Damn Ken, I gotta go to the location you go get your coffee at. Haven't had a good coffee from Tims in years.
Love the reviews. I am glad most restaurants are offering more choices for those that want one but I have yet to find a meat substitute product that doesn’t leave a weird aftertaste for me so I can never manage more than a bite or two. I either eat meat or skip it all together.
Im vegetarian and i eat the beyond the meat burgers all the time. When i cook them they smell, they dont smell after i take them out of the pan i bet thats what she means by the smell.
I hope you had an awesome Father's Day weekend!
@Derrick Jones Definitely a good weekend, thanks
I had to work, but it was a pretty slow day.
Test the package beyond burgers with paul
I wouldn`t eat that at all.
The egg patties cook for 7 minutes a regular baking tray in a heavyduty convection oven similar to what your sub is toasted in at subway .
“Lemme see if I have it” common Tim hortons quote.
They have too many menu items and don't have the proper management to keep enough supplies.

The reason why it’s consistent is because they use the same patty for all three breakfast sandwiches... I work at timmies :)

The lettuce and tomato does actually come on the homestyle biscuit, it’s the only vegan option and the biscuit makes it the vegan option.
Biscuits are full of butter right? maybe just home made ones though I'm not sure?

She seemed biased to me.
"it leaves an after taste and it smells funny" like seriously why tell a customer on something new they are promoting where YOU work
also at the ending her complaining or showing disgust is just unprofessional
Honesty? 🤷
I mean, they only just work there. It’s not like they’re managers. Most fast food workers don’t care about their company’s creed or business models. Just there to make a check.
Im pretty sure she wouldn't have just said that to any customer..i feel she said it so openly since she knew that he did food reviews on youtube
The truth is never wrong. I commend her.

1200mg Of sodium in the wrap omg
The regular sausage wrap contains 1250mg of sodium - so it may not be healthy, but it is healthier lol
