Put me on meds that completely broke my hair off I got back healthy and was able to stop the meds ... Omg! I thought I was the only one that couldn't use shea butter on her hair. Shea dries my hair out like nobody's business! I've been using a simple routine for my hair that definitely includes using hair grease as a sealant, and my hair loves it! I will admit, I was one of those who stopped using hair grease because everyone said it was bad. Started using all of these "natural" hair products that were supposedly better for my hair - ended up with hair that was breaking, had split ends, single strand knots, and was ridiculously dry no matter how often I moisturized. I then decided to go back to what worked in the past, which included hair grease and my hair has never been happier! My hair is healthier, gaining some thickness and length! I love it. P R E A C H...I grew up on Blue Magic hair grease. I always used a water based hair lotion and then hair grease. I also used it periodically to moisturize my scalp.👊🏾
i combine blue magic blue or green, sulfur 8 and b&b pine tar with black castor oil. mix that all together and i use it after i wash deep condition my hair. apply it to damp hair and twist it up. i do this every week and repeat. in one month my hair has gotten more dense and way less breakage. yes to grease. i also apply a little to my scalp.

You are too funny. You’re are right...I just started back on grease. I did find out recently that I’m allergic to Blue Magic with Indian Herbs so I went and purchased Softee and Ultra Sheen and man does the scent bring back memories. I’m trying to seriously get a grip on my breakage. I bet the grease will control that but on my last wash routine I forgot to use the grease and when I detangled my hair for my next wash day I had more breakage than I did previously...annoying but it’s my fault for not using grease on my length...won’t happen again.
I have high porosity hair and I have scalp psoriasis so I always have issues with dry hair and scalp. I used butters and oil but they would only last a night. I just found you due to the S Curl blue activator gel, i went back to ma old school style and decided to look up any one who uses this S Curl and found you 🤩 Also I've gone back to grease as ive used many curl creams like cantu and shea moisture and many others but my hair was so so dry. So i use the S Curl with Organics Kiddies Gel which works well. And i bought grease in which my mother used and my hair grew so long n thick she used the Green Pomade Dax on my hair and it really does moisture my hair. I followed the band wagon and started to use all those other new products, sadly some dont work and some do. But now im going back to basics and sticking with Dax or Shea Butter. They are the only 2 things that grows my hair. Anyways Thank You for your channel, just found you and have just subscribed. 🌟

I have a very similar experience to you. Naturals oils and butters dont work very well in my hair. They actually dry my hair out especially if I use too much. I usualy just do a leave in and gel and I wash my hair 2ce a week. I don't seal with oils/butters/cream because they don't work. I use grease occasionally and I have good experiences with it.

I have naturally curly hair and I remember on picture day my mom would plait my hair in two plaits she would put blue magic or Royal crown grease on my bangs wet the brush and curl my bangs . All the natural hair products are not for naturally curly hair it’s for people with coarse thick hair ... mine isn’t ... that shit dries my hair out so badly ... even the Shea moisture ... I thought it was me but now I’m convinced all those so called Natural hair products aren’t for me
I think grease might be for low porosity hair only? I know my hair is low porosity and loves those bad stuff lol. Not sure but my sister has high porosity and her hair thrives on yogurt mask oils bananas eggs etc while those did nothing to my low po hair ever.
In regards to high porosity hair, hair grease was the only thing I could use when my hair was relaxed, so it may just be down to the individual. 🤷🏽♀️ Just my theory lol

Follow the steps above, however do not keep reapplying grease to the scalp, just apply to shaft of hair with water or moisturizer to rehydrate or restyle. As the person mentioned above grease should be applied after water or moisturizer to seal the moisture in. Reapplying grease to dry strands will cause breakage and the continuous application to scalp can clog pores in the scalp.

@Smallville I hope i was making sense. I basically do a wash day on the same day, moisturize and seal, then the next week I basically just re-moisturize and seal. I seem to be getting good results this way. How often do you think I should wash?

My grandmother would used a warm wet wash cloth to wet a section of my hair, add Blue Magic then braid it. Long, thick hair to my waist!
Did she do this so that your hair wouldn't be that wet? As in soaking wet?

79sexylexy I had the same issue and used gel. That’s what really helped to lay my roots down
That anti humidity is the truth!! Didn't realize it til I looked in the mirror and my natural hair looks like it's been relaxed. 😉😉

Those ingredients mixed with the hair grease doesn't affect my hair or scalp. In a higher concentration (as oils), they do.

I use Tresemme shampoo, but there is a sulfate free alternative which is the Maui Curl Quench.
