Thank you for this tutorial. I am hand knitting something with stripes and I'm glad to see that you don't have to match them up precisely. I'm doing six rows of one color and four of the other.
I have watched many you tube videos on machine knitting, of very varying quality. Your video is excellent. You have a very direct way of presenting your instructions which makes it easy to follow. The camera shots are very clear. This is an amazing, and easy to watch and listen to, video tutorial. I’m really glad I found it, thank you.
This was one of the most therapeutic and relaxing tutorials I've ever watched. Just bought my first knitting machine so I'm doing some research and looking for inspiration - this ticked all my boxes. Thank you!
This wonderful, relaxed (almost atmospheric!) video format together with the simple pattern could help the esteem of many an aspiring machine knitter now intimidated by their machine. You use a masterful tone - you are long past being intimidated by your machine. I am going to do this project just for the sheer fun of it.
This is such a lovely KM video, I was enthralled up to the end, I love how calm and soothing your narration was and I now simple must make this sweater for x-mas. Thank you for sharing this lovely video + pattern.
Thanks for this video and pattern. I am an absolute raw beginner so far I've created a swatch to learn about tension. Your voice is so calm and instructions are clear, and following what you are doing seems clear but I haven't tried to actually do it yet.
I love this so much... I've seen others do the around the gate peg cast off with the transfer tool, but I've always done it with the latch tool. Or maybe it's just a latch tool bind off... Anyway, I find it quicker... :)
Thank you for presenting a great video that a beginner might be able to produce a product and that has some modern day styling. I know I should be content to practice with swatches but that is so uninspiring. Other basic patterns I find look so out dated. I may need to do a little gauge math but this seems doable!
Sure you could. Practice her steps on a sample yarn (whatever you have hanging around) and don’t try to “make” anything. Just do some stripes, do some increasing and decreasing, try doing the folded hem, etc. Just do a small swatch (10”?) and plan for mistakes. She doesn’t know any magic. She’s just done this a lot. Just ask her. She could show you a basket full of NSFWs (not suitable for wearing). Have fun. You’ll be amazed how quickly you find yourself getting the process.
Fantastic tutorial and, for a beginner like me, really inspired confidence. Any chance you could do a video on machine maintenance and cleaning ( inspired by your shedding yarn in this video)?
Knitting Machine Maintenance by Sam Meech right here on RUclips. It’s SO comprehensive. Covers European, Japanese, and even the Bond (this was recorded before the LK150 was on the market). He goes through weekly, monthly, and yearly routines. This is one to download.
Hejsa, thanks for a very nice and informative video, the yarn you used looks thick and you set machine tight to 10 but 100 gram and 515 meters I have 2 different yarn 50 grams 120 meters and 50 gram 210 meter . I don't know if the description well fit if I tried to make the same, and you make the same sweater with tuck stitch or faire isle how it will be done. I have knitmaster 323 and trying to make one to my daughter 😅 thank again. I will keep trying.
it looked easy except for attaching the sleeve. I just purchased a Hague linker which I think can be used to replace that part and all the binding off.
OK, this is the video and accompanying pattern that has given me the push to knit my first garment! I have ribbers for both my standard and bulky machines, but I'd rather start with just the main bed, so the folded hems are perfect. One question. How do you determine how much yarn yardage you'll need.
I am really bad at estimating yardage. I usually start with this chart and then buy more than it suggests support.lionbrand.com/support/solutions/articles/17000035213-how-much-yarn-do-i-need-to-make-a-
At 13:32 you say seam up the rest of the sweater, do you use the same method with putting stitches on the machine then binding off or do you hand sew with mattress stitch?
How long would you say this has taken you from start to finish? I am a beginner and want to buy a flatbed machine. This may be the first project I attempt!
This is a great, practical design. What gauge were the stitches of your fabric? I have a bulky Brother machine but I'm pretty certain that the Big Twist yarn you used can be used on tighter end of a bulky machine.
What is that tool called that you're using to wind up your own skeins. That is a great little tool. I've had times where I had to unravel a blanket cause the rows kept shrinking and then gave up after starting over twice, I don't understand what was happening I've made quite a few blankets but this just was not cooperating. Anyways though I unraveled it and have a huge bag of hundreds of feet of yarn. Something like that would be very helpful.
Can you still find this yarn? Went to Joanne and couldn't find it. Thank you for the video. Coming back into knitting machine after life took a turn around and became a career woman. Retire now and I still have my standard machine.
It looks like it's discontinued: www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/big-twist-glisten But yarnsub has some recommendations about duplicates: yarnsub.com/yarns/big_twist_yarns/glisten
For many, knitting is an activity they use to slow down and relax. Going fast isn't the goal. Also she was going slowly to clearly show and explain exery step.
I forgot to mention in the video, this wound up taking a little under 4 skeins of yarn: 3 of the black and 1 of the silver.
What tension did you do?
"now for the most important part, try on your half finished sweater"
truer words a knitter have never been spoken 😂
Thank you for this tutorial. I am hand knitting something with stripes and I'm glad to see that you don't have to match them up precisely. I'm doing six rows of one color and four of the other.
I love how calmly you give instructions, it’s pretty reassuring. The sweater looks very neat and fits nicely.

This is a great basic sweater … simple lines with enough shaping to be flattering to a human body and not look like a big box. Thanks for sharing!

Every step noted and explained… that’s the software engineer in you.
Well done.
I love this sweater.

Thank you so much for this video 😍 I'm getting into machine knitting and it's so fun to see what is possible!

I love your channel and website!! You must keep this going!
That's a lovely design of jumper.
I will definitely be trying this one. Thanks for the instructions and tips.
REALLY great tutorial! Beautifully presented...perfect pattern. Thank you so much 🌝
Thank you! 😊
i would be thrilled to accomplish this jumper on my machine, lovely job
Where can I get your book thank you
Thanks! Such great instruction and attention to detail. Great video.
Beautiful video and precise professional work, thank you so much for making this!
Holy moly. That’s incredible. I could never ever do this. Props. 👏👏

Can’t wait to try this. Thank you!
It's lovely .and has given me inspiration to get my 951i out and use up my yarn thank you great tutorial thanks xx
I love this! Thank you for sharing.
i will try. i like your wow tutorial. i am a beginner and i think it is not too difficult!! tnks for sharing your video
If I ever find the space to leave a flatbed knitting machine set up, I'm going to get one. I will content myself with my csm in the meantime.

Really informative. Thank you so much. I would love a pattern for dresses' skirts and tops 😍
it looked easy except for attaching the sleeve. I just purchased a Hague linker which I think can be used to replace that part and all the binding off.
That's an option.

@@KnitFactoryImpl That's...kind of what I figured I'd have to do, too. 😂
Hi you have a great work
Can you please do a video of you setting the yarns on the The knitting machine
A detailed video please 😢😢😢
Which machine do you feel better for knitting??...
At 13:32 you say seam up the rest of the sweater, do you use the same method with putting stitches on the machine then binding off or do you hand sew with mattress stitch?
very nicely done!
I got about 6.5 stitches and 8 rows per inch at T10 on the standard gauge. My pattern generator can work with any gauge you get though.
What is that tool called that you're using to wind up your own skeins. That is a great little tool. It's a ball / yarn winder.

Can you print the instructions and can you give the approximate measurements of the sweater, I.e. neckline
Really cool.
Mam I want to know how to make design in knitting machine
Could you use lock stitch markers rather a thread of yarn.
If they won't get in the way of the carriage, they should be fine.
What price
AWESOME👍🏼
There was only 30 needles in working position on each side not 36 ??
is armpit circumference the total inches of the armholes? (referring the the website pattern generator)
It's the circumference of the armhole in inches. Here's a wiki how article on the best ways to measure www.wikihow.com/Measure-an-Arm-Hole
Do you have this pattern for a bulky KH260?
This pattern will work for any machine, you just need a gauge swatch.
What machine did you use?
I made this sweater on my Brother 910 standard gauge machine.
Ohh my how I have the "music"!!
Amazing work
could I request a custom order from you?
I do not take commissions
Why? Tool long, time is money, you just need to have 2 carriages and knit faster.
For many, knitting is an activity they use to slow down and relax. Going fast isn't the goal. Also she was going slowly to clearly show and explain exery step.
