    Do you save the last bits and pieces of soap? Does gooey soap bother you? I'd love to hear from you!

    My sister sent me this link as I crochet, am making her some of these bags as a gift. I'm using a soft cotton twine I bought as the $ store, just keeping it simple. Thank you for posting & sharing, great idea!

    Anja, about a year ago I came across this video on how to make a soap saver bag. I learned to crochet when I was nine years old in parochial school and after the school year ended I never did it again. So here was your video and I wondered if I remembered what to do. I went to the store and purchased what I needed and proceeded to make my own soap bag!!!!!!!!!
    My fingers remembered what to do!
    But it was your inspiration that compelled me to start again to enjoy such wonderful craft. I am much much older now but learning anew how to make all kinds of varied creations.
    Thank you from whole of my heart!!

    I’m an avid crocheter and have been using these and gifted these for a couple years. Yes for bits and pieces.

    Thank you Anja, this is brilliant, I never thought of it, I have been using soap for a while now and I always tell myself its a shame to waste the bits of the soap because it smells so good, so what I always do is just grate it and mix it with water and spray it on my curtains, cushions and beddings! I make sure I use this within a few days or so, now with this idea soap saver bag, at least I can still enjoy using it in the shower for whatever thats left of it, Thanks again!

    Reminds me of the concept of the Johnson & Johnson buddies soaps, they have a soft mesh material around each bar. The concept is great as it keeps bars from slipping out of your hands in the bathtub as well as to be able to use up every bit of your bar soap.

    Hi Anja, thank you so much for this video! What size crochet hook did you use?

    • @OurGabledHome
      @OurGabledHome  3 года назад +3

      I think it was a size 4 or 5 but ultimately it depends on the yarn you are using. Hope this helps 😊 ~ Anja

      I used a 3.5 mm (US size E/4) but ultimately it depends on your yarn 💛 ~ Anja

    Are we supposed to chain one for each new round? I'm a beginner at crochet, and I'm not sure I'm doing it right.

      @OurGabledHome  3 года назад +1

      Hoping that I understand your question correctly: Whenever I turn my work and crochet a new row, I add one chain stitch. However, once you go in the round, you don't add. Hope this answers your question 💛 ~ Anja
