    So easy. Making these for Christmas for my coworkers. Just add lovely scented soap from Dollar Tree.

    So I went into the bottom of the first chain instead of a regular crochet. I found it made it easier to find the chain on the theirs round. :)

    I couldn't help but wonder if you knit as well? My niece is a knitter, and you made me think of her while I watched the tutorial. 🙂

    Wish she would explain how she "ends" the bag at 15:30 instead of jumping to the drawstring bit :/

    So here is my question, how do you keep these after use? I have one and whens its wet it makes the soap all soggy so what is the solution? Hang it up? Is it in the yarn? What do you suggest?

    • @ThisLittleFarmhouse
      @ThisLittleFarmhouse  Год назад +1

      I hang it to dry and it drys between uses, it could be the yarn. I would look for a dishie/dishcloth specific yarn.

    Hey! This may be a strange question, but it is not quite clear to me how you would use this in the shower. Do you just take the complete thing and rub it over your body to wash it? And then let it dry in the same bag after?

    • @ThisLittleFarmhouse
      @ThisLittleFarmhouse  4 года назад +1

      Yes that's exactly how. It's also used to hold all the small pieces of soap you have left over so you can still use them :)

  • @hannahpham3121
    @hannahpham3121 2 года назад

    If the bag is cotton and washed, can the soap be wet in the shower for limited uses? Arms and legs? Can a smaller 1 time use soap bar be used? I'd make a mesh bag. I don't use soap bars a lot...

    Did you skip a stitch when you started your first row?

  • @tamaralynnjordan
    @tamaralynnjordan 3 года назад +3

    Mine ended up widening as I worked up from the base. It is now a bowl-shaped-thing. Not sure what I did wrong.

    • @Rastitute97
      @Rastitute97 3 года назад

      Same thing happened to me. My issue was that I was adding extra stitches when I ended a row. You can try using a hairpin or something to mark the start of your new row so that you don't end up adding extra like I did 😅

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. It’s unclear to me whether I need to’close off EVERY double crochet loop/row and then chain one to start a new loop . I am also not following how to keep it even on top before you add your string. I end up with a lopsided top😔.

    • @ThisLittleFarmhouse
      @ThisLittleFarmhouse  4 года назад

      You close off every double crochet and then chain one to start a new row. I'm not sure why the lopsided top happens, it can be hard to tell without seeing the project.

      When you finish the bar of soap, you can toss the saver in the laundry. The bonus for that is it makes your laundry smell like your soap 🧼
