    Congrats… amazing what you have accomplished in ultra marathons.. I love my xero genesis I have a problem with hot spots where my upper sole is all blank without texture… I will consider new genesis and the xero H trail…. They remind a little of my bedrocks.. thanks for your videos they are both inspiring and giving knowledge 😊🙏

    At the C&O Canal 100, there's another runner, Sergey Ivanov, who's also at 8 completed races there. And, he always runs in huarache style sandals (Lunas) ... and he's about 5-6 years my senior ... AND, Sergey is super quiet and humble and crushes me each time we run that race together. Nice to share the trails with more minimalist sandal runners!! Maybe in 2026, we both hit that 1000 mile club at C&O?!

      Next up … I need to work on strength and speed. My feet and legs are still tight. Interestingly I had loaned out BTR2 and it was returned this evening. I’ll be looking through it first ideas!

    On my end, my feet are really too skinny so they’re really great casual sandals until I added more Velcro worth the Velcro got more to stick to kind of just super glued to the strap and now they fit great and then I can also take a LUNA or Shamma text wrap and add that real technical trails and they’re working much betterI think probably next generation comes out. I think zero will do that add more Velcro so the straps have more to stick to cause guys like me with little skinny feet. There wasn’t enough love them. I do food delivery at night and they’re my favorite sandals to wear and running and for my aqua clouds are my favorite for road running.

      I think I understand ... the sections where the velcro stick to could be longer for more adjustability.

    Congratulations on your finish, Randy! I noticed you didn’t drill any holes in the footbed like you did other shoes.
    I’m still kinda getting used to the Xero Genesis after having used the thicker Lunas for a few months. I’m not yet ready to try any of the Xero trail shoes until I can get very comfortable in the Genesis.

      H's are more substantial than Genesis, very different. No holes in the H's... no time to do that, or any need really, as they are light enough and flexible enough.

    Hi Randy, do you recommend wearing a compression sleeve around the calves to reduce calf pain when starting out with barefoot running?

    • @RandyKreill
      @RandyKreill  5 месяцев назад +1

      I did not as I like to keep things simple and let the body work and heal as naturally as possible…

      @@RandyKreill Thank you! I agree. I wore thick socks and a compression sleeve when running and it made things worse, haha. I appreciate it.
