I really love that you subvert the happy romantic long lost love story by having her have already passed. Not all love stories are happy, LEAST of all queer ones, at least historically. It’s a very real and sad part of being queer, especially of being closeted, and this really cantered and honors that experience.
I just feel like if my grandpa just embraced his gay side and told us about it-then he would have never killed himself. I feel so bad I didn't know and I would still have loved him just the same as before, I just miss him so much. I'm glad the younger generations are not scared to be open about it.
Oh my goodness my heart. Sending love your way. We've lost so many due to the homophobia perpetuated in our society. Your grandpa's story is so important and we fight for him today. Thank you for sharing.
This actually made me cry. The entire premise of wasting your life and having to every day, multiple times a day suppress your nature because you felt that you had no other choice was a fact of life for many other LGBT baby boomers, women in particular.
Such an unfortunate reality for many. But hopefully more and more people feel encouraged to live their lives how they want to. We only get one. xo Thanks for watching. 🌈💕

Thanks for noticing this detail! Wow this is exactly why we took this approach!
Oh my gosh. I am crying. This is so beautiful. What a great and special story you are sharing... "and know you belong."
