So that’s where the Gundam Ghost went to after Jobby snapped him out of existence.
Finally I have been waiting for a comment like this
It even has the “Funny Cloth Mask”
*reviewmoregundam intensifies*
So technically Mecha lives in the Shadow Realm?
Man! This got me laughing off guard. 😂 [S***** ****]
If I remember correctly, UC mobile suits got smaller because most beam weapons got to the point where they would absolutely obliterate anything they hit, so suits were made smaller and faster to dodge enemy attacks easier.
Yeah, the in universe reason was more for evasion and defense. The RL reasoning may have been to cut down on Plastic given Bandai was a bit financially strained during the 90s. As the small suits trend continued well into the 2000s up till we got the Unicorn and co.
KyanbuXM mobile suits went from buggs bunny to BIG CHUNGUS
Yeah, like I just suspected that they wanted to go with the whole dodge/mobility type.
You are absolutely right! I don't mind the UC sized gundams.
ZZ stick until crossbone due is that mean zz was small unit?
How to make money:
1. Remold 13 years old kit in silver.
2. Add some accessories mostly from another kit.
3. Profit
↗️ stonks!
NeoPad A and I’ll still buy lmao
That's how business works
the unicorn boys: its free real estate
Macdonald selling the same big mac for 40 years
Won’t deny, crossbone with that abc mantle looks like it came for a haircut
because he was impatient and didn't do what he was supposed to
And forgot to take off the covering
🤣🤣🤣🤣 the barbershop gundam
Ugly af lol
13:21 the way Mecha laugh is priceless XD
Even i suddenly burst out my laughter too XD
I agree
Rare thing
Haha the fuck was that cape
A really rare thing
true
*Review more gunpla* - Gundam Ghost
For real though is that whole kit molded in silver or plated silver?
Molded!
@@MechaGaikotsu I wonder if they will ever introduce cloth capes
watching the video helps.
@@seanchoy236 did u not watch the video
"This is the single cheapest Gundam ever". Really what about the Tristan.
"This is the single cheapest feeling Gundam ever"
Kinda agree on him since this is the old MG Crossbone X-1 just molded in silver. And that kit is really cheap feeling
@@StrikeFreedom72 but have you seen/assembled the tristan?
@@stuffedsomething1699 Yes I know about the Tristan. I can't deny that kit is real shit. But what I'm referring here is that the Crossbone X-1 feels cheap because of its flimsy joints, despite being an MG kit. And the X-0 is just the same. Just cast in silver
@@StrikeFreedom72 I know, and I agree, I just dont think that it's a worse kit, but that may also be due to the fact that the Tristan is only a high grade which inherently has less detail.
@@stuffedsomething1699 Are there any worse than Tristan? Because that kit was released in 2017 and the Tristan has very old joints on it. Even the Alex, the kit it was based on is better than that. While it may not be the worst kit. It's definitely below average against modern HG standards today
So the reason behind the smaller MS designs is because engineers wanted to increase mobility without having to sacrifice armor and weapons capabilities. In short, smaller MS=faster MS.
The thrust capability to move fast under Jupiters gravity too.
Plus the fact that Crossbone are so good that it can defeat 3 victory gundams and went on into after victory.
The fact even downgraded like hell in dust has it still bring op.
2:44 I literally laughed out loud. Even though you dissed the f91. One of my favorite MG I do wish it was a little bigger tho.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 LOL 2:44
3 things:
1 I’d argue one positive is the *crap ton* of extra parts.
2. Honestly, this looks about the same quality as the high grade, and the high grades literally only have 2 more stickers overall
3: GOD the crossbone master grades need a real 2.0 soooo badly
I totally agree with you? Bandai should really start over with the the Master Grade Gundam verka crossbones series, the size, the parts, and definitely no more stickers? Please band I start over with the crossbones series again
this Crossbone is piloted by someone who is like Gundam's equivalent to Marvel's Daredevil, yes being piloted by a blind person, whom you don't wanna mess with.
That's really dumb. But he's so cool! But that's so dumb!
Also, how do you hear in space?
@@noonethatspecial SPECIAL PLOT DEVICE
@@noonethatspecial To years old, I know, kinda sucks but...
By using the combination of new type abilities alongside computers and monitors. The cockpits and targeting systems can make warning notifications when they get attacked, plus the combat targeting system identifies units and estimates it's size and shape. Fun fact, some new MS in the after part of UC don't have One Year War ms in it's systems, meaning old clunkers like the Zaku can throw off the targeting system.
IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS! THANK YOU SO MUCH GAIKOTSU! ^-^
"oh yeah, its all coming together"
2:45 when your wife's boyfriend let's you stay up a hour later than usual
"These are the worst Master Grade hands I have ever worked with!"
*Me, looks to GM Sniper MG*
Dude...
Hahaha I love how genuine the laugh was with the cloak
I like how he just turns into the M.Bison early on in the review. Just YES... YES... YES...
Holy fuck I never heard Mecha Gaikotsu scream this much and I like it XD
MG: I love wing kits and their size
Also MG: I hate how small this is
Consistency man
He did say he hated how small this kit is COMPARED to other uc mg kits.
Context man.
Yea he did use UC as context. That's the sole reason i mainly stick to gunpla from zeta till unicorn lol, mg's reach almost 10"
@@takkipusa6910 Yeah, but this is a CROSSBONE unit. All crossbone are smaller than other ms units. That is the first thing you're expected when you buy a crossbone. He did a review about RG crossbone, but he didn't shit talk about its size like this kits.
@@huyle-ob8rg did he not? At the start of that review he said he hated how small later uc kits like this one. Aside from that, he hated this kit exclusively because how dense the parts are compared to its rg counterpart. The rg is as complex as the rg sazzabi while this mg is not compared to mgs we have 15 years ago. The complexity of rg crossbone carried out most of its weight to be considered a gold tier (on his case anyway). If you really watch that review he said twice he hated how small this kind of kits. And again. CONTEXT MATTERS!!!
@@takkipusa6910 I know RG version is the superior one for how small but solid and detail compares to this kits and I'm mostly agree with his complains about the kits, but his reaction towards its size is a bit overreacting and unfair, don't you think? He should have also mentioned how he utterly hates later uc kits in RG crossbone review, but he didn't say it as harsh in that review. Hell, he didn't complain about Gundam F91 Ver. 2.0 size or mentioned how he hate later uc kits in that review too. Only this specific review. It's like he's so salty about how disappointing and expensive this kits was, so he just pouring all the frustration and saltiness towards this review.
Double sided tape .. Gundarium tier
Dude, you forgot the Small but awesome RG Crossbone X1! lol
If I remember correctly, the small size was needed for the fights near any planet so that it can escape it gravity more freely thus the big X boosters on the back
Haha great review I love it when things are crappy! That cloak made me 😂
Back in the 80's-90's, Bandai partially wanted to unify the scale of their toys. One option was to eliminate 144 scale kits while making their 100 kits smaller to fit more on store shelves. Miniaturization in late UC was the in-canon excuse to make this happen, but of course, they ended up making 144 scale kits of them anyway because why print money on one scale when you can print money on two?
13:25 I laughed just as hard as you man! hahahahah
Damn that silver or gray is nice
Happy Birthday!!!!!!!
This is the first video i get to see mechagaikotsu laugh so damn hard xD
I love how real that laugh was xD I also lost my shit when I saw that fucking cape, like WHY IS IT THAT BAD lol love you Mecha Gaikotsu!!
MG CROSSBONE CAPES IN A NUTSHELL 12:22-12:41
Also Spooky is superhero 12:50
My fav cross one is still the x 2. I just love the color and the difference of design to the others.
In conclusion, mecha gaikotsu likes big gunplas
you were fine with the RG crossbone being smaller? the MG f91 is fantastic despite its size and i personally think its a great size for a kit
That Red and Silver look so amazing together
Can you review more SD Gundam kits? I absolutely love that style of Gundam and not many people who make videos on them have that addictive energy and enthusiasm that you put out in your videos. So I’d love for your SD collection to grow and for videos on them to release! 👏🏼
Honestly, the most use i ever got out of that cape was draping it around the Freedom 2.0’s waist. For... no particular reason...
Great video ..Can u make a video on how to make swords for your gundam ?
I also laugh so hard when i see the mech equiped with the cloak😂😂
Giving a thumbs up for the good boi. Will just wait for the X-0 in RG form. :D
Here's why Universal Century Mobile Suits got smaller starting in F91: smaller, faster targets are much harder to hit. The Crossbone Vanguard figured out how to capitalize on this fact while Iron Mask was still in power.
It really didn't help the Federation to keep 30-year-old Jegans as their mainstay general-purpose Mobile Suits (F91 came out in the 90s, and the Jesta didn't exist until it was added to Unicorn. I'm wondering how they're going to explain that.).
I generally glue everything together in the thighs inner frame construction (and the two outer parts chat clamshell around it) in order to help sort out the weak feeling in that area. Its a bummer its even needed but it does solidify that area up easily and without much fuss. I like that they were experimenting with inner frame construction but it just didn't work out with that part.
The regular release cross bone x1 verka was the same for cheap feeling plastic and it came with that same crappy cape too
Man, this video made my day, got to the cloak and I laughed my ass off
I’m waiting for the RG version. I recently bought the Crossbones X1 RG and the plastic cloak looks better than that nylon...thing.
Where did you get this kit from?& can you post a link please and thank you
I wonder if it is possible to make a 3D printed cloak for the crossbone mg. The cloth just doesn't work.
It's a 1/100 scale, it's meant to be in scale to the actual measurements to the series. Not so its nice and big for people to play with.
this kit definitely needs a 2.0 but for what it is i like the kit and if you know what you are going into its not that bad.
i just built the X3 and the Full cloth and with the frame painted it has little issue holding the heavier weapons, i will be adding this and the X2 to my collection
Man, I had a good laugh when I saw the ABC Cloak on the kit. And it’s past 3am 🤣
Just finished my silver bullet suppressor, overall a really sturdy kit (except for the right arm sometimes because gimmick).
Damn, he laughed so hard his accent flew out of the window.
I know this isn't really relevant to the video but are you going to Jcon ireland this November?
Still getting it. Was worried about possible hand grenading qhwnnyou mentioned only 2 or 3 likes and five dislikes, but that only appears to be the front skirt armor. Absolutely love the weapons, those multipurpose melee/ranged weapon types being my all time favorite kind of weapons (gn sword v and the gn bits)
4:24 I would say, the coat just looks like a polybag plastic.
Even though this kit appears to be garbage, I still want an anime adaptation of Crossbone. Mid-late UC is so under-represented.
they redeem him in RG crossbone
@@tenkuken7168 I have the RG Crossbone X1 but haven't seen the others. X1 is real nice though.
it's not garbage, this is just a garbage review
@@557deadpool built this. Absofuckinglute garbage kit. You not agreeing with his opinion doesn't mean the review is garbage.
Joey Wheeler this review is garbage
You got to think about when this gundam was made it was made in 2006 when you consider that it’s actually really good for it’s time
spooky is the main attention of entire video '-')
So, according Amazon link this sells for 5700JPY... but after all the costs involved how much was this once arrived at your door?
I love this kit, especially compared to all the other MG crossbone kits. The joints on this kit are much tighter than the other kits, especially the elbow swivel which is very annoying on the other kit due to how loose it is. Also the butterfly busters and kujaku are by far the coolest weapons from the crossbone series.
I just finished putting my x2 together I absolutely love him except for the god damn cloth the sticker didn't even stick to it like at all plus I can't find a good pair of scissors too cut it and getting it too hold the lance gun is almost impossible the small ass tab combined with the awkward positioning of where it goes makes it so difficult and on my mg full cloth I just glued the crossbow too his hand I regret it but at the same time I just wanted him too hold it anyone know where I could get extra hands from without buying another one?
Gundam Ghost Merch.
Consider that people still have to manufacture these massive machines. The smaller, the cheaper, the better
I have a feeling Bandai will make a 2.0 crossbone out of the RG tech which is the best crossbone gundam we can get.
I honestly want the kit a lot less than I do just the beam zamber by itself. The zamber is the single coolest gumdam weopon ever
I know this review consider the x0 bad, but the mg x1 is one of my favorite mg to be honest, just need a bit of effort for painting but a gundam marker is pretty good for it
It's my first time to hear him laugh hysterically because of poor design🤣🤣
I legit though he was gonna get a voice crack during the YEEEEESSSSSSS
2:48
Two kits i really want (probably more) are the SD Neo Zeong and the SandRock custom well now i think about it i also want the HG and MG Sinanju Stein narritive version
i just have the X2 yesterday... but then i realize there is no action base adaptor...
I’d wait for the RG but seeing how long they took to make an MG of this one it’s gonna be next to impossible that we’re getting one idk how people in japan responded when this came out in the manga although they did come out with the HG so there is possibility of it coming out. We’ll wait I guess
hope they make a rg of this
the first and only time mecha gaikotsuko broke character:
Actually cutting the cape at the bottom remove that extra " crisp" and gives it a much more fluid look and feeling. Also remove the core fighter when putting on the cloak
4 years later, still no RG Crossbone X-0.
This is a kit for mee😁😁 I love crossbones gundam and those beam weapons all my love 😍
I’ve watched this review 3 times since the other day 🤣 all because of the butterfly busters 😌😌 can you say unstoppable I can GHOST!! (...Power)
Anyone know why can't I chat in livestream?
Why the Crossbone is small, 2 reasons: Yea "As as technology matures... yada yada" only really applies to #1.
1. The Crossbone is based off of the F91. For the F91 to pull off the after-image gimmick. It needs to be able to accelerate extremely quickly. To do this the unit was shrunk, reducing its mass, with ~50% of its main mass [torso] being thrusters.
2. The Crossbone was designed to be used around Jupiter. The smaller mass of the F91 line, plus the massive thrusters on its back, allows the Crossbone the ability to quickly manuinver within Jupiter's gravitational field.
Honestly I love that they got smaller, 7 stories is already pretty tall for a "real robot." Full Metal Panic! And Code Geass did better with scale.
same, and it just makes logical sense
@@CobraTrouser In a way mobile suits are supposed to be the next step from tanks, so spending that much resources on a single unit is definitely unsustainable especially when you consider the lifespan of Zakus in early UC. lol
where can i watch FMP its not on crunchyroll
@@thedandy6765 If you're ok with piracy, I usually use Gogoanime.io (with ad-block of course). Not sure where to stream it legally though.
@@NexGenRogue hmm what about kissanime? Also why is it not on CR is it to graphic orsomething
I like the look of crossbone and have wanted one (if anyone has an MG version to recommend throw em out there). But it seems like to get this cool scheme I would just paint it to look like this so as not to have to deal with those weird splotches.
Please, can you review vanilla HG Exia?
I kinda want to see you review some old HG
This is a year old video so I assume opinions have changed.
My theory is that the latter mobile suits is built for speed while the bigger earlier ones are for power.
2:44 Daniel Bryan would be proud. Here for thinking to get one myself
No double shotgun like in the cover?
Hi mecha, can make a review of the late mg exia?? Onegaishimasu hehehe
does anybody know where i can get those shotguns???
it's official, that cloak is a laughingstock!
That's beautiful!
“It’s tiny” that one guy: “it’s AVERAGE!”
It's just a bit cold in space, put him in front of the heater and give him a shake he'll get bigger in no time.
"weakest feeling gundam"
Ah, I see you haven't met my friend the Victory Gundam ver. ka. The literal only gunpla I've built that's in the closet because it refuses to stay upright or together
Dude, he used a heated knife to cut that kit :)
so theres gonna be no X1 Ver Ka review later right?
Thank god for this video. I pre ordered this for bigbadtoystore. Let's just say I'm not gonna get it anymore with it being cheap as it is for the high price they are asking. Lol
just looking at that pilot figure too fast or blinking in it's general direction could knock it down
I do hope you do the Mudrock when it comes out.
Did Ultron high jack this gundam?
PG CROSSBONE!!!!
WE NEED ITTT
Wow, that's shocking! Design and production teams hung over that day?
Those beam sabers look nice
Price?
