Honestly looks better than Heat as well (and you have to consider the fact that heat doesn't have a dynamic time of day so each weather/time of day preset could be carefully crafted and adjusted to look the best, or could've)

@@hayasher No, I wouldn't compare heat if I was playing with low settings obviously. But it's basically up to you whether you find simple visual fidelity more important or the overall composition and visual design.
Heat doesn't have much to offer besides simply being run on a AAA engine and having AAA-funded assets and etc, but if you look past the visual fidelity you can see that the overall composition and design is kinda primitive. The best Heat can do is put a flat color filter over the screen and call it stylization.
While on the other hand NFSMW12 has honestly stunning and mindblowing (at least to me) visuals for a 2012 game, with great and carefully picked lighting, colors, textures and filters. The whole visual composition overall ends up looking amazing to the point where people previously unfamiliar with the game ask if BlackPanthaa is playing with an ENB or some sort of graphics mod.
Also gotta mention that criterion are/were experts with graphics and rendering since they started out, that are highly experienced with developing graphics/game engines, and I'm not even gonna go into criterion's RenderWare and how it powered so many of our favorite PS2 era games (including games like the older GTAs). So knowing all that it's honestly not surprising that NFS MW 2012 looks stunning to this day.
And besides that, ghost games honestly come off as highly funded amateurs that simply rely on pre-made technologies (frostbite and etc) to make their AAA games.
I'm not saying they would necessarily use frostbite if they had a choice but we don't know. Although looking at the technical quality of their existing games says enough to me.
The only moment heat looks better is when you play the night, the effects of lightning is really good, but without that the gane looks really bad compare to 2012

NFS MW 2012 is overhated. Its a really fun game, and it's probably gonna be even more fun now that people are modding it more

If this would been a Burnout, this game could be really fun. But EA and Criterion are obviously ruined it when they put under not just the NFS brand, but disgacefully put the most important title in the NFS history, to upsell this piece of medium warm pile of meh. If you get it, what i mean.

Yup. That segment of road was literally copy-pasted from the hills in burnout paradise, recoated with new textures, and slapped into this game. I'm not kidding, you can find the same exact shape of that road on the paradise city map

I played this game on my 360 growing up. And it was in my opinion the best nfs game made. The sounds, the music and sense of speed is unmatched till now.

People overhate this game because of the name. I mean, it was clearly a burnout reskin, but it was still fun and enjoyable. The thing is that they put need for speed + most wanted, so the community went crazy. But the game is fun!

Game is broken, paywalled dlc and literally no story (btw blacklist cutscenes are nice)
The interface is a mess (for a Burnout wannabe, it should be a lot simpler) and the handling is worse than NFS 2015 (IMO). I tried playing it several times but I just can't. 😵
I hated it as a NFS game it’s a decent game for a burnout spin-off but for having the Most Wanted title on it I absolutely hated it but I was 12 years old back then lol

There's certain things youtubers do/play/say purely for views. Doesn't mean they aren't aware of it. I mean blackpanthaa contradicts himself multiple times throughout this video alone, he's clearly aware that this game is great. But what's more clickable?: "NEW Lamborghini Countach in Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012" or "NEW Lamborghini Countach in Worst Need for Speed...". Kind of an obvious choice.
Also his entire YT channel started off by talking smack about MW2012 and Rivals and criterion in general repeatedly, so maybe he just doesn't want to swallow his pride (like most brits).

This game was incredible from the graphics, car list, the huge map, great DLC, soundtrack, car sounds, and physics. One of my favorite NFS games. Definitely the last good NFS game they made (I.M.O)

Its actually crazy, like, Horizon 1 and MW2012 came out at the same time, but the models from MW look SOOO goddamm good compared to Forza

The sounds in this game are insane
Despite this not being one of the best Need For Speed's, it's still a top tier one for me, for memory sake. I saved up for a Wii U for a long time, just to play this game, and when I finally got it, I played it for hours upon hours, single player, multiplayer, doing story mode over from scratch, cop fun, you name it, I did it. My favorite memory is beating a bunch of people in Multiplayer who were using Bugatti's and other hypercars to do the long highway race that went around the whole map, and I beat them all in a Focus ST because while they kept crashing due to high speeds, I just kept going on consistently, no crashes XD

Mobile game models are usually just as good as last gen ones, they just lack details in interiors, engine, damage model and the underbody.
