If people collectively DONT buy hyped unreasonably high end priced cards, the market of CT focused cards will regulate itself and prices will slowly fall. Few select alt art/special cards may very well be the focus of CT scanning and may be actively hoarded in the future by select retailers/individuals. The only way to stop it is to know your LIMITS and refrain from buying cards that are "outlier" in price. Say NO or opt for non-english versions if there is questionable massive price differentiation. Patience and restraint go a long way in combating scalpers trying to manipulate the market. Its ok to say no to card and you can certainly live without it!
At this point it will probably hit Pokémon's bottom line enough for them to change the packs to defeat it for modern but at this point buying vintage is dead.
Warning people to be careful buying packs from third party yes but also indirectly promoting the service to the third parties that would consider using said service. It would be nice if those third parties were like hey this pack doesn't even have a holo but here's my price for having a sealed pack. Some people like just having the sealed pack as a display. If known not to have a big hit then sell at a lesser price. But you know how people can be and what kind of can of worms that would open. This whole things a mess. I feel sorry for those it actually matters to.

Imagine if the scanners buy packs and scan to find big hits. Then open to grade/sell. The non big hit packs they hold. When someone sends in packs to be scanned and it has big hits, they swap the dud packs for theirs. I'll be the first to coin the term scanmers 😂

At the end of the day, its just shiny cardboard and when we die, we dont be able to take none of it with us.

@@ravishingreptiles it can interfere particularly in older, dated machines. its still general practice to remove metal objects when being ct scanned in a medical setting, but most machines in the last 10 or so yrs are high enough intensity beams and high enough resolution equipkent that a thin metal tin will be easily scanned through. i could be wrong, im no expert i only learned this recently

nothing really. but i would imagine they would make way more money having a good reputation and just churning out imaging data than getting good cards, grading them, then looking for buyers
also many boxes top hits in a psa 10 don't cover the price of the box since the sealed box is the collectible itself so I cant see the company doing that

Sealed investors/collectors could not care less about this technology. When they buy sealed product it's with the intention to keep it sealed. They're never going to open it. If someone does get a sealed box scanned and as a result, they open it, it benefits sealed product collectors. It means there's one less sealed box on the secondary market.
