    Hi, thanks for your comment.
Well, I prefer classic cars as original. My may was to restore the car's near original condition. I plan to take the car next year to an oldtimer classification, which requires at least the main parts to be original. Besides in my country is very difficult to install a different engine legally. If the project goal would be to make a custom car, I would go with a 5.7 Chevy small block under the hood :)

Hi! Thanks a lot to appreciate my work. I'll make some video about the engine bay than, no problem :) I know the C31 and C32 models as well. A few friends having both here. Unfortunately a C32 was crashed after engine overhauling due to other driver's fault. That car had 700.000 km before overhauling and was a 2.8D. The C32 so rare to find in good condition, 98% are rusted already. Take care of your car. My laurel has L20A, in line six, but I had to overhaul it, due to a torque converter shake.

    Hi!
Good luck with your Laurel, sounds you made a good deal. :)
The light is transferred by optical fiberglass from the turn signal lamp. As being new, the rubber seal is soft enough to let the chrome housing to be pushed down a bit, than being kept pushed down have to move it towards the len's direction and lift it up. If the rubber is hard, you can apply a flat and thin screwdriver and carefully lift and push it forward to the len's direction. Just be careful with it.

@davinchi280 Thanks! Where are you living? Well, quite hard job to collect the parts for this model, mostly as time passes as harder it gets to find. :( Mostly auction sites like ebay, and lot's of investigation and nice friends around the globe. What do you seeking for? Maybe I can give you some advice.

Fantastic work you did there :) The car looks brilliant at the end :) Wish you had shown more of the engine bay after it was done :P hehe.
I've got two C32's. One is my daily driver and it's a facelift, white, 2.0 (CA20S) manual, it's all original except some old wheels I painted black, it's in quite good shape. The other is a 2.8D straight six automatic pre-facelift which I have big plans for, none original :P hehe.
Good luck and have fun with your great car :D

Sad news about the crash :/ Hope no one was hurt at least :)
I'm taking good care of it. But I might be selling it back to the one I bought it from as I want a 2.8D with a turbo on it, and I've found one clean one. The one I bought my facelift model from told me I had to let him buy it back if I ever wanted to sell it again :P So he said now that he wants to buy it back if I'm selling. They had it for 20 years in his family and they take great care of it :) Looking forward to an engine video :)

    Hi,
due to my Laurel is '80 model I had to keep the rectangular headlamps. The front grille which was made for the hardtop model was the only one available as new, so I had to replace the sedan's grille to the hardtop's. I'm more satisfied with this one anyway :) I belive that the 78-79 model's front grille is very similar to Jaguar's. Although an American car fan thought my car is a Chrysler. I love the American style appearance.

    Szia!
    Köszke, már megérte. :)

@davinchi280 I'm so surprised, cause many of the parts I got are from your country. I though from around Jeddah. A great friend from Kuwait was helping me with those. The bumpers are challenge for sure, you could try to take them to be fixed at a professional and rechrome plate those, just as I did. I bet there must be a place around, even 100 times bettter than in my country. Or you could try to find a spare car, I though have a lot in that area, more than in Europe.

Salam, thank you for your appreciate.
Well, I really wish you good luck to find, but Europe is not your place.
To find one in good condition is quite hard. I suggest you ooyyo.com and search in Ukraine, Chile, Buenos Aires. For me it took 7 years to collect all the parts for my laurel to look as it is and incredibly lots of time spent at the internet for seeking every day. Rest of the parts from at least 8 countries. Hope I could help.
