Ford plays like a luxury brand in China because it can’t compete in with the local brands in the economy section of the market. It’s kinda like in the same position that Buick holds in NA. Not full luxury but upper end.
My choice is always to buy a new or used Ford vehicle, but I noticed that it is a company that is still failing in building transmissions. I owned two Ford cars with a commitment to maintaining them, but the transmissions break down. Not only do I have many Ford owners in locations where transmissions break down. The transmission includes the Ford Explorer, Fusion, etc. It is shameful for a company that is more than a hundred years old and has not yet achieved perfection in the transmissions in all of its cars. Therefore, from today, I will not buy a new Ford at all, perhaps a used one, because I know that the transmission will break down in the near future. Thanks for the short video. I did not like the new generation’s front and cramped interior, as if you were inside the cabin of a Corolla or Camry
I'm going another direction on this. Ford is having issues with the 10 speed to the point where more lawsuits are being filed. The ecoboost is a good engine until you get past 60 to 70k miles on it. You start to lose mpg. My 2.0 Escape is averaging around 24 when it used to at 27. Tried different fuel brands and ethanol free. More than likely, it's the carbon build-up. When I get the oil dropped, I'm going to do the full fuel system clean. I believe Ford is putting both port and direct injection on the engines now. So, if they can fix the transmission bugs, I'm for it.
The welcome animation is straight off the GM EVs, sequential turn signals also GM style, as well as the widescreen integration that’s suddenly horizontal. GM can’t have squat without people copying. This doesn’t look like any other Ford in existence. It’s obvious the design cues are from an entirely different entity.
This Ford Explorer is perfectly in line with Changan Ford’s current model line up. You should take a look for yourself. The Ford Mondeo, Escort, Equator and the new Edge all have similar design cues. The reason the Explorer got a facelift was because it stuck out like a sore thumb in the new Ford lineup since it was designed by the American arm of Ford with a slight tweak of the grill and fog lights.
Not so great when the eigine internal water pump fails at 50k and tour mechanic gives you and estimate of 24 hours repair time at 200 dollars an hour just fir labor not including the parts 🤮🤮🤮
