You’ve most definitely seen this headcanon already but here’s a quick rundown: S1! Lizzy loses her heart of the see thingy and turns back human ( and then dies) Joel picks it up and becomes a god. He doesn’t remember anything from season 1 except his Wife and their empires. Lizzy only has few fuzzy memories that she mostly writs off as dreams
I've seen some videos where lizzy has died,and the ocean queen spirit is behind her saying "you have failed to protect the water,in your next life,the water won't be as welcoming" and this kinda reminds me of it
I have a similar au but Joel died and turned into a god (like Pearl did) but Lizzie wandered around for a 1,000 years with no memories, and the whole time someone or something hunting her down, eventually they caught up to her and turned her into a cat to keep her away from the water (as well as erasing her memories again)
Ppl hc that Joel was Lizzie's replacement being one of the emperor's who ppl have thought to live the longest or died last, they think due to his grief pearl gave him a chance making him the next holder of the orb the orb Lizzie used to hold and protect, pearl gave him a chance to not screw things over like how Lizzie did not being able to protect her ocean, but he didn't want to be a god he then was banished instead of being a literal spirit he's more of a demi god/god not a deity or spiritual god like pearl but that's just a hc I've heard from friends lol
fish lizzie apparently has no relation with cat lizzie since cat lizzie comes from the lost empire and fish lizzie rules the ocean empire And god Joel is a god while mesa joel is a king (sorry if im wrong)
