I really miss your old videos where you went over each patch. I understand if they were too much work, but I hope you can bring them back in the future. I had to stop watching some of these videos because they jump around a bit too much for my brain and it feels like information is skipped. Like you will be talking about something, like building towards something and then it just gets cut off. Could be because it didn't happen on the stream or something, but there isn't even a reason given to why so it just feels bad. Love you iskall. Love VH too. I took some time off to play the new POE league, but I'm excited to get back into update 15 with my friends. I think we are going to start a new world.
My only gripe is the upgrade system. The amount of cards needed to upgrade makes sense for streamers, but its way to much for any normal player. I will probably edit the config and reduce it to half of it probably
Ye I guess for mini bonuses that they bring a smaller amount of scaling for the tiers could be a better balance. Like tier 2 = 10, tier 3 = 30, tier 4 = 50, tier 5 = 60 cards. 🤷♂️ but the tier system I think doubles the bonuses so the upgrades probably need to reflect that in some way.
The goal is probably not to upgrade all cards in your deck but just your strongest permanent bonuses that do not have a durability or require skillpoints are extremely valuable!
Agreed. A full level 4 treasure deck will take at least 1000 scav clears to achieve. You likely wouldn't have a deck of level 4s with arcane cards/wild etc... but if you consider level 5 which takes 320 cards iirc, it's frankly an unrealistic amount. I really hope he reevaluate the numbers. Unless he has plan to greatly increase essence count through decks smelting or etc...
It’s only unrealistic right now because you can only get card packs from completion crates and the black market. I think once they add more places to get card packs it won’t feel quite as bad. They could easily be added in places like treasure sand, vendoors, bounties, etc.

Please don't add card booster packs to regular loot. Right as they are now, they are a great incentive for completing a vault, and not just focusing on looting. If you were to add them to other places, keep it separate from the vault loop itself, like in vendoors or treasure rooms.
I would love a game mode which is driven by the cards like from the start you find them upgrade them. wild Idea (not very thought through): Maybe it even defines the gear and perks you enter the vault with. although this would make looting less important and would making finishing the vault way more important. do with this idea what you want I think it could be fun (It would still need to be thought out more but I trust you with that since you are already doing such a good job with vaulthunters)
With all these new items is there a way to fix refined storage and stuff lagging like crazy with too many things stored in one chunk? Or was that bug already fixed and I'm outta touch 😅
Very cool mechanic, bit devastating that it seems to randomly delete the entire deck 😅 I'm sure it'll be resolved in the next update, but I don't want to risk it again!

I was started couple days ago, excited to discover new systems since the vault potions update. On my second day, I went out to discover a village since I needed couple emeralds for the Vault Enhancement Table quest; I have checked like many thousands of blocks around my base, apart from a really big ocean that felt like endless, I couldn't find any village; biomes were way too large and those new biomes doesn't seem to spawn a village. I lost my excitement stucking on the enchancement quest. Now after seeing this video, I wanted to play again. But I think I am gonna start over, hoping to find a better seed. I remember having this kind of problem before. So I wondered, is there a problem with the world generation? Are biomes way too big? Doesn't it spawn any villages in new modded biomes? I don't remember if Nature's Compass locate villages too but if not, is there a way to locate one? Emerald is a real problem.
I think it would be cool to get feedback for when cards requirements aren't being met or canceled due to doing it incorrectly, as in a red highlight around them if something is off.
Because there is only 1 deck. Every other deck is just an extra peice of data added to the original instead of increasing the size of the mod by adding more items. Same goes for cards

I love what you are doing with VH iskall! I am a little concerned that you are getting into “feature creep” where instead of improving existing mechanics you are adding. It can end up with the game being clunky and unapproachable for new players. The cards for example - fun mechanic but could you have done the same thing by tweaking the gear upgrade mechanics? Or could you have a single upgrade system for gear and the cards?

Some ideas.
Omega deck: inventory is a full inventory 9×4
The world deck: several groups of slots in different areas.
Chunky deck: 16×16 slots
Everyone would use the chunky deck and nothing else lol, that's way too OP

I had the same problem so i just allowed myself to use /locate for finding a village and it was never further away then 2500 blocks

why are decks not in jei? could you add them?

@@Ramzi65ok I know they are the same item with different nbt, but you can still add them to jei, for example trinkets are in jei too
The card system will mesh well with the existing mechanics at play, and even help fix the severe pacing bottleneck hell that is the mid-game.

Can you change your deck inside the vault? For example, start with a stat deck and when you're about to go out change to a resource deck?
