I bought this tripod on your recommendation and absolutely love it. I also bought the Ulanzi ST27 phone mount to go with it.
I have both the M50 and a Samsung s22 ultra and use both for my content and the Ulanzi you need to review, it is in the same build category as the Smallrig tripod.

@@SKSK-gq2yt you can adjust the tension to your preference, but no, you just set the tension and then use them, I keep mine pretty tight.

I got this tripod but I'm not sure how I feel about the legs. Have you tried the neewer or any other ones that are extendable?
For an extendable leg mini tripod Sandmark makes the best one. It’s bigger folded down, won’t fit In a pocket.

That lens on that body is very front heavy, so you would need to keep the tripod legs reasonably wide, but it would work.
