Immerse yourself in the thrilling and suspenseful world of Universal Pictures’ 1982 classic film - The Thing. Use your pinball skills and battle against the shape-shifting alien through the arctic chill of U.S. Outpost #31. Can you trust anyone, even yourself?
Chilling table features:
- Survive the vicious attack of the Dog-Thing by shooting its tentacles.
- It’s Bennings! Watch him transform and torch what he becomes.
- You know you’re human, and some of your crew are still human too. Collect blood samples and shoot the reagent cartridge to reveal the impostor.

Remember how in the Deadpool Pinball FX table Deadpool said that he hoped someday Zen Studios would make pinball games for mature audiences so he could say [BLEEP] or [BLEEP] or [BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP]? Must have been like a decade ago, and now Zen Studios is actually making M-rated pinball games!
Now we need A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th Pinball.

I love the movie but this game is sooo crazy... sometime u barely get even a chance to to hit the flippers it goes straight down... its pretty frustrating to me even though I'm constantly trying....

Of all 5 tables in the lineup, only one of the IPs released in October or near Halloween.
No rules stating as such.
@@pinballwiz45b They surely missed the mood and season with this release. Interest won't be as high as it could of been. Again. Missed Halloween then making us wait til the 30th instead of dropping it. I'm sure it's because of all the platforms they're dealing with but should treat PC on its own without all the platform nonsense.

Im finding Pinball M tables way too difficult. Am i the only one? I love the thing table but as soon as i enter a mission, the ball goes to the hole. And Duke Nukem same case 😭😭😭

But why isnt this just Part of Pinball FX?
They'd have to change the rating for the game, which isn't really a thing once you ship a game.
It's almost like, wait for this revolutionary take, Pinball M stands for Rated M for Mature, a rating that Pinball FX doesn't have as it falls under E for Everyone.
Now, I wonder why it would be complicated to add M rated Pinball Tables to a game that is rated E for Everyone. Hmmmm, seems like they were at an impasse and had to create a separate game specifically for the adult market, hmmmm.
Seriously though, these questions are becoming eye roll inducing, it takes five seconds to realise exactly why they are doing this and why these tables cannot be added to FX proper. It isn't that hard to understand, also it really isn't hard at all to download a relatively small size app for the M rated tables, it isn't a big deal.
"Oh no, I have to download TWO apps!!!! Surprise Pikachu face. That's sooooo hard for me to do! Why can't I just have it in the ONE?!?!? Stupid Dev team forcing me to take 10 minutes out of my day to download one other app."

It shouldn't be rated like this by ESRB in the first place, its a pinball table....dafaq? This just doesnt hold up in 2023
And even if the rating is "necessary",or imo just exist to exist, i dont see the advantage of having more blood/violance/whatever in a pinball game, which is most likely the reason, they didnt exist yet
Maybe i dont see it, because i dont play those story driven tables alot, being more on the oldschool fast skill oriantated side of Pinball, but for me, it wont be a deal if some blood or what ever has to be censored
Speaking of Censored: Real Tables (Like scared Stiff... which i hope get added someday in FX) could just set the machine to uncensored mode
This would've also been a option, to add the cut content via a hidden cheat code or what ever, like many games did
@@nylox PFX does have adult themed tables, but from a rating standpoint adult themes can still be limited in different ways (not just visually) compared to an 18+ rating. For Pinball M the goal was to not have such limits, but to stay true to the worlds the tables represent. It's not relevant that we are talking about rating pinball tables in this case. What matters is the original rating of the IPs the tables are based on and that the game wants to respect those IPs and their audience. Ratings may not be important for you (or me for that matter) when choosing a game, but that isn't the case for everyone, especially for parents I'd imagine.
Censoring is certainly an option, but ratings have to take into account the uncensored version of content, if both are available in a game, like when you can enable uncensored content with a cheat code.
I love oldschool tables as well, but those aren't going anywhere, and we can still enjoy those, while developers can keep bringing out new stuff in the meantime. It's not like Zen won't be releasing fan favorite real tables in their games as well. :)
