Is just I stock here because of Pandemic.nowwent to the Chemist with script.too dear.so I ask with Flanax.is that advisable still my pain still plays up.please help.thanks a lot.

Do you know of any dosage comparisons between the 2 drugs? I was just prescribed 15mg of Meloxicam for joint pain. I understand this is a max dose for Meloxicam but how does this compare with Ibuprofen? 600mg dose? 800mg dose? Thanks for the info!
7.5 is starting dose but if you’ve had chronic pain for years like me 15 mg is recommended. 15 mg is stronger than 800 mg Ibuprofen and its only once per day. Some days my arthritis was very painful I would take two 800 Ibuprofen and ice my joints.
800 mg of ibuprofen three times a day or 15 mg of meloxicam once a day max. Don't take two 800 mg pills of ibuprofen as that dose will stress your kidneys long term.
My doctor just put me on this medication for arthritis in my shoulder The precision said take two and it is a 15 mg should I take two or one she prescribed 10 but they did not have 10 so they give 15
I have chronic migraine. Try powdered magnesium. There's several different kinds. Find the one that works for you but it does work. Take it everyday with water powdered no other fillers. Good luck
Meloxicam is MUCH BETTER at reducing PAIN than Aleve or IBprofen! Meloxicam gives me a little pep ( similar to 2 Aspirins with caffeine) so I only take it in the Morning. I have to watch blood pressure on15 mg; so I usually try to whittle the tablet down to 10 mg. My stomach can only handle 3 days a week ( or my stomach will burn. )
You are right the variation in selectivity of the cox-1 and cox-2 enzymes is what gives the two medications different side effect profiles. I thought that was a too detailed for some of my audience, maybe I'll make a future video where I discuss the MOA and how that relates to the potential side effects. Meloxicam is great. I had excruciating pain in my hip, after 2 days with Meloxicam, I felt way better. (period)
Ibuprofen does no more for me than eating peppermint. Meloxicam is fantastic.

a doctor just gave me Meloxicam ....she was old school and did everything on paper and the laptop she did bring in had a floppy disk slot

So it seems meloxicam is safer in every regard. So why is it by prescription only when ibuprofen is over-the-counter?

I have severe tendentious flare ups in my knee. Nothing helps but Meloxicam.

Meloxicam 15mg stopped working for me. Connective tissue disease is horrible.

You’re not supposed to mix the two 🤦♂️ you don’t mix nsaids 🤦♂️ you can mix it with Tylenol

Meloxicam and Ibuprofen both work wonders for pain
I've been afraid to take Ibuprofen but broke my foot the other day and the liquid ones work in minutes....it's crazy how fast it works

other internet comments say Meloxicam can be higher risk for heart and stroke issues. Opposite of your comments.
