I use Reel Schematics all the time. This Saltist looks like a fine reel. I always use Q-Tips not substitutes because they hold together much better! I’ve worked on many spinning reels where the old grease varied in consistency from concrete to sticky glue to slippery muck. Beautiful job on this reel Dennis! - Chris
Can you get Carbontex (if that's the correct spelling) drag washers that will fit a reel? Meaning can you take any reel that has drag washers and find Carbontex ones that fit it?
Yes, most to the time there is a Carbontex washer made as replacements, at least for the popular reels. A good source is Smoothdrag.com If you can find the drag listed by reel, you may also be able to order it by size - Dennis
