I absolutely love the her enthusiasm, repairs so many different things like she’s done it 100’s of times before, I’m twice her age and don’t have nearly the knowledge she has, I appreciate her abilities to just get it done.

You go girl!! The real recycling!! As impressive that your skills in disassembly, repair and reassembly are, and doing it all with rather rudimentary hand tools (no impact wrenches, ratchets, etc.) I was most impressed by our rewinding of the stator, probably the most difficult part of the job. In addition, you did not just fix it, you made it look like it was fixed,. The cleaning and painting of the unit will make the end user think that they can trust it. Mask over the labels when painting to give it a look of perfect restoration, but that is only a little cosmetic. The fact that you do this for your community is wonderful. God bless you!!

I have a similar generator and just recently replaced the carburetor in it. If I had to replace the wire in the generator part, I probably would have given up and sold it for scrap. I enjoyed this rebuild very much thank you. Great job!

A tip for you: always pull the starter handle a little until there is some tension on it and then do the big pull. Less likely to break the starter rope near the handle that way. Love your videos!

Уважаемый, ну вы же взрослый человек, должны понимать что это все художественное кино. Там даже на мотоблоке поймать регулировку инерционного регулятора оборотов, если делать это на коленке, столько танцев с бубном исполнить придется что мама не горюй. Так на мотоблоке плевать как попал лишь бы не глох. А тут точная настройка частоты это самое главное. Будет отклонение хотя бы на 10% от номинала, пожгёшь все подключаемые электроприборы к ипиням. Без стенда ну никак.

Впечатлён! Чтобы так хорошо знать устройство двигателя и генератора - это не каждому мужчине под силу. Браво! Но вот единственное замечание - моменты затяжки головки блока и статора генератора к блоку всё же должны быть большими, а поэтому такими ключами всё затягивать... несколько опрометчиво, так как прокладка головки блока может прогореть, а статор от вибрации ослабнуть и начнёт цепляться полюсными башмаками за ротор. И ещё поправка - там где более 2 точек крепления затяжка гаек делается по диагонали или крест на крест. А в целом просто восхищен! Ещё раз браво!

Yes, I don't get it! I am a retired Air conditioning mechanic and was filthy dirty at the end of each day. I needed a change of clothes every day. Removing burnt out windings should leave dirt every where.
Hi Lin Great work as always. When you rewire a motor or generator can you please talk through the way you replicate the original wiring I see you measuring the wire gauge, OK but how to calculate the length of the wire needed, the numer of turns for each coil and most baffling for me the position in the stator for each coil. Keep up the great videos
some how it reminds me of old-school goodnight-stories for kids. it is good to show them something productive, that has been successfully completed, so they can go to sleep, and learn how to get this done the next day... :)

These are gold I would never scrap a real generator. The trash they sell now are alternators with modified sine wave inverters total garbage. 73

Впечатлён! Чтобы так хорошо знать устройство двигателя и генератора - это не каждому мужчине под силу. Браво! Но вот единственное замечание - моменты затяжки головки блока и статора генератора к блоку всё же должны быть большими, а поэтому такими ключами всё затягивать... несколько опрометчиво, так как прокладка головки блока может прогореть, а статор от вибрации ослабнуть и начнёт цепляться полюсными башмаками за ротор. И ещё поправка - там где более 2 точек крепления затяжка гаек делается по диагонали или крест на крест. А в целом просто восхищен! Ещё раз браво!
Судя по выражению лица и на суетливость движения, разбирал и собирал кто-то другой. А девушка делала только то, что ей показывали. Кино...

Yes, I don't get it! I am a retired Air conditioning mechanic and was filthy dirty at the end of each day. I needed a change of clothes every day. Removing burnt out windings should leave dirt every where.

I see you measuring the wire gauge, OK but how to calculate the length of the wire needed, the numer of turns for each coil and most baffling for me the position in the stator for each coil.
