I finally pulled out my Juki MO-634 to make fabric face masks for COVID-19 and was never all that knowledgable about setting the tension in the first place, but after not having used it for more than 20 years, I REALLY knew I wouldn't know what to do. This video (the machine looks identical to my model) was PERFECT! Back when I bought my Juki (probably about 1990?), there was no internet, no RUclips, only the printed manual or visiting my local sewing machine store where I bought it. Oh, what I'd have given back then to have had all the technological help we have today!
I resurrected my Bernette 334 D and needed a refresher. I learned from a blog that Juki made these for Bernina back then..and indeed my machine looks identical. This got me up and running!
I’d like to say that it would be helpful if the instruction book- it pointed out 2 things 1) the lower looper thread goes over the upper looper thread. 2) both needle threads go through the same guides just before inserting them through the needle. Minor things really. I got the threading right in about 30 minutes. This machine is quiet, and runs very smoothly.
I need help! I have been trying to thread my Juki for 2 weeks now and can't seem to get it threaded:( I have threaded it before and was sewing with the machine when the thread broke and I had to re-thread. Can not get it to stitch at all. I have followed this video and others to the letter. The only thing I notice is that after trying to stitch, the upper looper thread (red) goes under the lower looper (blue) when I open the door after attempting to stitch. Is that normal? None of my threads are catching the fabric. Help please! I even changed the colors of my thread to match the color of spools.
Your video is very clearly . I have a problem after I done with all threads, the machine just run about 1 inch ,then the thread broken right at the red (lower looper)I try to redo the red tread many times, they are still happening the same problem.please help me . Thanks!
I can help you. After you thread the red thread it goes over the blue thread near the needle. I just watched a video and that's what the lady said would happen. So red over blue
What are the ideal tension settings for all four dials, the differential and stitch length? I have played around with the tension settings, and have been unable to create the ideal stitch as demonstrated.

@@msmontana1961 I don't have this serger, but I would confidently recommend it based on my experience with My Juki made Bernette.

+13luckyblackcat I believe each tesion should be set at 4.
Try 4 for all dials
