Cool video. It was probably just for comedy, but Broly isn't just some lowborn slum kid, his father is Colonel Paragus which was a high ranking military officer in King Vegeta's military. The problem is that no one could be stronger than the Vegeta bloodline or it threatened their reign - especially the Prince's reign. Since they're a warrior culture, it wouldn't do for someone that's potentially the Legendary Super Sayian to not be from the current ruling line, it'd undercut them.
