      It is a 300+ pedal. Of course updates should be free of extra charge (as you already paid up front for them...).

    • @slimigan
      @slimigan Год назад +1

      @MarioCuervo 300 was completely reasonable for what I bought over 4 years ago. To keep getting updated since that time, free of charge, is pretty rare. No other pedal company has done this (that I'm aware of).

    • @nobesmusic
      @nobesmusic  Год назад

      @@NosceTe So yea updates are free usually, but with this new update, they literally gave you free IRs from a third party that everyone would normally have to go out of their way to find and purchase outside of the ACS1. And they pretty much started from the bottom again instead of making a totally different V2 pedal. That’s arguable for sure, but giving quality third party IRs via firmware update is literally giving something for free. Which is wild!

    • @Mike.D.Martinez
      @Mike.D.Martinez Год назад +2

      @@ryanmaurer2630 I’m gonna be 100% honest with you. I actually thought that yes, the Dream and Ruby were incredible new technology with how great they feel. However, they are a 1 trick pony. They do what they do incredibly well, but that’s all they do. Personally, I actually PREFER the sounds in the ACS1 BETTER than the UA stuff now with this new update. So, to answer your question, yes. The ACS1 is much more usable and versatile than the UA stuff, and the way all these new IR’s allow you to truly customize the feel and tone to your exact liking, I don’t see a need for the UA stuff in my rig anymore. IR tech and cab sim tech will always be improving, what matters to me is, how much can I tweak it to get that sound out of my head.

    It seems that older firmware sounds more transparent on clean tones, less dull. But maybe it is only about eq knobs position. I get the excitement about drives range, but I am not sure if they really improved the clean tone. But maybe less sterile means more lively, who knows. I do not own it, I only describe what I hear here. We both know that these subtle differences matter, but the only way how to tell what is better is by playing and attaching to the feel of the sound.

    • @nobesmusic
      @nobesmusic  11 месяцев назад

      Yea for sure! There are still some great clean tones with the original firmware. I just noticed that the 2.0 firmware has a better response not only with gain but also with feeling on the fingers. And it definitely took drives and distortion better. But yea, I’d say trying it out on your own would definitely speak more than just watching this demo

    1. what is the pick you're using? the pick i'm using is having this chirping sound on strings...
    2. do you think the difference when stacking overdrive, between the previous and this latest firmware.. is it because of the gain stages difference? or is it because of the IR?

      Thanks a lot! I was a pick from the walrus audio pick variety pack. I belief it was 1.5mm but I can’t remember for sure. Hey! I was using the Shnobeltone Daily Driver first and then the Chroma by Caballero Effects which is a prototype!
      And yea I totally feel you. I’d say do the upload and then compare your favorite IRs since you can upload 6. You can have three of the new ones and three of the ones you have and A-B them to see which one you like best. Even you stick with your current IRs, the amp redesign is worth trying. And then worst case, if you don’t dig it, you can always revert back to the previous firmware!

      @nobesmusic  Год назад

      Hey! Sorry to hear that, I’d try to redo the update again. Maybe there was an issue with the firmware uploading. And if that doesn’t work, I’d recommend contacting walrus to see if something is up with that specific unit. Their presets that are automatically downloaded onto ACS1 should sound good right out of the box. How was the previous firmware for you?
