Bad advert using a grinder without goggles, and there's even a sign right in front of you. Still it's your eyesight I suppose. Other than that nice vid so people can see how we live.
Great video. I'm going to start studying naval mechanics this year (in march) and it's good to see what life is like over there. Greetings from Uruguay!!

I've just recently passed our exams here in the Philippines (Officer In Charge of the Navigational Watch) which has the equivalent distinction of 3rd & 2nd mate license. Could you please share your tips as to how you ranked uo over the years I would be extremely grateful

mam kilka pytań. Gdzie poszłeś na uniwersytet? czy warto robić ta praca? czy pracują tam dziewczyny? czy musiałeś pojechać z polski do innego kraju żeby być na tym statku??
I used to study at Maritime University in Szczecin, Poland. I don’t recommend this kind of work, but depends on life preferences. Not my kind of lifestyle, I’m already done with sailing. But you don’t need to study to start a seagoing career, at least here in Poland. Yes, women work at sea, not onboard this particular vessel, but they do. And yes I had to leave Poland to join a ship - in this case it was France and I disembarked in the United Arab Emirates.

I worked on merchant ships for 19 years during 1960s & 1970s. 14 hours a day split into 3 shifts.. Food was good , wages were not!. I only stayed so long so I could get some pension. Most merchant seamen end up with no family relation ships being away from home for too long End up with nothing .
STCW podstawowo na pewno, ja już nie pływam, więc nie jestem na bieżąco z kursami, ale ja potrzebowałem jeszcze HAZMAT, warto mieć też ratownika + obowiązkowe też są security duties i security awareness.
Food looks pretty scarey and low budget. Cook whatever sticks to the hull of the ship scarey. I think I'd starve. Haven't they heard of roast beef and potatoes? Hamburger and fries would be a step up from slimy fish.
Yo man. It's the same. A/S is just an acronym meaning what kind of company it is, from administrative side. In this case is means joint-stock company in Danish language.
