Kaiba: *Laughs like an actual lunatic in the middle of a broadcast* Everyone on set with him: "Yeah this is fine. Our boss sure is a stable guy." Young Jaden: *SuGoI*
He'd be at Yami Marik levels of evilness, Dylan did not adress it in the video but pre-mindcrush Kaiba actually used the senastion of death on Mokuba, seriously, on Mokuba! As punishment for Mokuba having lost to Yugi at capumon in the Death-T challange. I can't even picture Seto from DM doing something like that. Kinda weird to think that Kaiba was originally such a pricklord in contrast to his past reincarnation, Priest Seto, who was actually a pretty legit guy.
@@theazureknight9399 i remmenber that if it wasnt for yugi saving him mokuba would have been a goner. He also said that 'there is no such thing as brotherly love' to mokuba before he went to play against yugi
@@theazureknight9399 funny thing is that Kaiba still had his tragic backstory you know when he outsmarted his father to reach the top to become a video game megacorp and help children well maybe just orphans then again Bakura had a tragic backstory and he was pure evil though that’s probably cause he fused with Zorc kinda like the exact opposite of Bakura
@@theazureknight9399 As someone who is playing Duel Links, I can't believe DSOD Kaiba is the same Kaiba who punished his brother severely, and hired a serial killer to threaten Yugi and the gang. Then again in the game he did treat Yugi as a puppet for bringing back Atem which shows he's still more of an ass compared to DM Kaiba.
I consider Mokuba to be Seto's saving grace. Seto seems to be willing to do anything to keep Mokuba safe. He fought Pegasus. He took on Noah. I believe Seto can be a bit of an asshole, but I think Mokuba saves him from his darkness on a daily basis. I don't think Seto is directly responsible for Zero Reverse. I'm not sure why his name wasn't erased by Darkness though. You got me there.
He does have the power to reflect magical abilities via technology as we saw in DSOD. I know Dylan said Darkness would be able to use Kaiba's dark past against him, but what he didn't mention is that Kaiba conquered this dark past in the Virtual World arc. Not to mention, Mokuba wasn't even mentioned in this entire video. Kaiba didn't send Yubel into space knowing the light of destruction would corrupt her, and he didn't intentionally cause zero reverse knowing that it would give rise to the Earthbound Immortals and the King of the Netherworld.
@@hazakurasuyama9016 I wish they showed more of a sympathetic side to Bakura I guess the same thing happened with Kaiba but he did show a sympathetic side after the mind crush
Uh.....Dylan, you do realize the main reason why death and chaos follow Seto around is because he is literally the human version of Set, Egyptian God of Chaos, Storms and Lord of the Red lands. It's why his ace is Blue-eyes White Dragon. It represents the Chaos and Destruction he brings.
Ryan Barker fun fact about that, neither Lucifer nor Satan are the anti-Christ, or related to him. Satan is an executioner angel in the service of Yahweh that’s in charge of carrying out God’s punishment and Lucifer is an angel that got exiled from Heaven for giving humans the gift of fire (his name literally means “the light bringer”, think of him like the Hebrew version of Prometheus from Greek mythology) and neither of them are what modern Christians refer to as “The Devil”. That would be Samael, one of the demons from the ancient testament, or Maybe Mastema, another angel that fell from grace and the one that makes the bet with Yahweh on the book of Job. The so called “anti-Christ” of the Revelations book on the Bible is a metaphor for Nero Caesar, who’s government at the time was really self destructive and oppressive, the 666 number comes from the fact that, in Ancient Rome letters were also numbers and if you were to add up all the numbers in Nero’s name you’d get 666; you can tell that the whole Revelations book is a criticism of the at the time emperor because in certain dialects, Nero’s name would lack a letter causing his number to be 616, and you can see this reflected in the translation of the Bible of said dialects. Why am I telling all of this? I’m on quarantine, there’s a black out in my town, and I have nothing better to do.
@@KaoruMzk Haha I appreciate your closer at the end of your comment. I used the name Satan in my comment for dramatic effect but I'm aware of the biblical difference.
Kaiba theory happen during a anniversary series so after the 20 anniversary series finish, the 25 anniversary of the anime will be the next time the kaiba theory will return no matter how crazy they get based on my theory
Me: "That old guy from Zexal is Yugi" is the craziest theory ever Dylan: *Hold my deck* Seriously tho, man, I love these videos so much! Awesome work, Dyl!
Yes, kaiba does have a lot of baggage, but he is also arguably the most strong willed individual the series has ever seen. He literally managed to change the future, destiny itself, simply because he’s seto kaiba, and he isn’t losing to ishizu. Also I’m pretty sure the manga is a different canon to the anime. So you can’t really use both for a theory
With how petty he is and how he's so prideful and selfish, it makes sense why he would be the antichrist of the series as his company was always in the center of each event. And let's not forget that before Kaiba took over, his stepfather Gozaburo was just as ruthless as him and his company was a military contractor that builds weapons of war. While some may say that Gozaburo was like this because his own father treated him as such, that doesn't make it any less interesting that Kaiba was the perfect vessel for Nightshroud to use to create destruction and chaos.
Pardon me for a moment, but you forgot to explain what Kaiba has to gain from all of this. He's a businessman first and foremost and a damn good one, and I doubt that putting every other living human on the planet, including all of his employees, into a permanent coma is good for his bottom line.
After Yami Yugi's death he felt like nothing was left for him and essentially it wasn't really him but Darkness/Nightshroud using Kaiba for his planning. I'm not necessarily agreeing with the theory but that's my thoughts on that
The problem is that if this theory was just for the manga it has some support but using both for a theory is crazy. I have read some of it and it is like comparing light and dark. Yugioh anime is light hearted and and in the manga murder happens and people are not fazed. Yugi and kiaba's death count is high
@@emmafahy4712 And if we include manga canon, we have to include that Kaiba is immune to otherworldly powers and therefore he would not be taken by the darkness.
This is why i'm done with internet theorists and why it's a pleasure to confront stuff in their comment section.... Most of them are more sensasionalist for RUclips money, than actually making good research and telling human truths about it, in the most scientific human way possible in a video
But it wasn't Kaiba who wanted to send Yubel into space. Judai won card design contest and asked to send Yubel into space along with cards he drew. Of course no one expected the card to be affected by Light of destruction. Even Kaiba.
@@DarkEclipse23 No. Kaiba was the one that did. Jaden just asked for Yubel to be added after he was told his card designs won and would get to go to space.
If we Think about, Gozaburo Kaiba was a major reason why Seto become something like this. The happy and smiling kid Seto, at least in Mokuba's memory, was just an innocent child who only wanted to protect his little brother. But after Gozaburo adopted them everything changed. Seto became a cold and menacing person. So in this way, we could say that Gozaburo Kaiba was the true Devil, father of the Antichrist, Seto Kaiba.
The manga and the Duel monsters anime are separate canonically though. You can't really take something that happened in the Manga or season 0 and apply it to the DM anime or the GX anime. The only thing Yami/Atem did to Kaiba in the Anime was get rid of the darkness in his heart. I mean Kaiba was still a jerk in the anime but all he really did was tear up a card and scare Yugi's grandpa with holograms. He never tried to kill Yugi or his friends and most of the questionable things he did were to try and save his brother. Yeah he cares too much about winning, but he isn't evil.
What are you talking about? Manga comes first before anime. Thats the original yugioh story line. Why do you prefer the modified anime over the the original one? Kaiba is better after atem mindcrushed him. It is so clear in dsod that he is so lost. To the extent he want to see atem in afterlife
@@leonef2933 - i'm confronting this - This is a taste thing... the authors DO Work along with Companies for the animes. There's no such thing as the real canon when talking Manga vs Anime. Only way Manga is the real canon is when animes are adapted badly. That still hasn't happened - to my knowledge -
Personally I think you're looking way too much into it. Sure Kaiba isn't an angel by any means, but he wouldn't go as far as bring eternal destruction upon the world or kill innocent people, I mean we saw him change his ways through out the DM storyline and became a much more sympathic antihero also there were moments where he did indeed care like when he went out of his way to protect those kids from Zorc and when he prevented Joey's soulless body from being dropped to the ground when they were running away from the possessed rats in Season 4. The only time he was ever truly evil was before Yami Yugi mind crushed him. Update: Another thing I want to point out is that he has a brother that he cares about more than anything even his own life, so....I don't think he would want to destroy the world knowing it would mean Mokuba's demise as well.
Kaiba might not bring a lot of misery on purpose (especially his either japanese sub self or his 4kids dub self).... but man he really has so much bad luck if somehow even his most heroic actions somehow bring pain and misery to some
@@CobraScarlett95 kaiba just a jerk sometimes but he did help yugi in some duals like in dualist kingdom win atem fought against the fake version of kaiba
I was with you until you said he was working for Darkness. Has Seto ever worked for anyone except himself? I would believe he influenced events to weaken the spiritual barrier on Duel Academy in order to summon Darkness. But only because he was bored and wanted to duel the devil himself just to prove he could win. Of course he didn't disappear off the list because we have seen in DSOD that Seto can use technology to counter magic. I fully believed he has contingencies for every supernatural disaster he could find. Also Zero Reverse probably happened because Godwin told him that the technology could bring back Atem or similar BS.
Not to mention that in reality, there wouldn't be much for darkness to exploit, in Season 3, he managed to conquer his dark past, and is no longer bogged down by it. Besides, it's not like he sent Yubel into space knowing that this would happen.
Seto kaiba is aware of magic His past self is the ultimate priest himself The millennium rod belongs to him Which he rejected by the way He doesn't care We have also to differentiate Seto kaiba from DM(anime) And the DSOD(Manga) They have some common points but they are very different in the inside
For that 5ds part Studio gallop had many difficulties Their was suppose to have an illuminati plot The illiaster But the voice actress of carly was in a cult so they scrap the plot Because the media would have do some drama on this All we know is that The kaiba corp is still very influent in the world And we also know that the trusdale brothers are legendary tag team champions Thats all
Wait, so you're telling me, that Satan himself was so bored because he missed his teenager card-game buddy, that he decided to host a childrens drawing competition, the winners of which he then flung into space, where they fell into a magic light hole of evil, because he KNEW that that would, several years later, summon them onto an island he had made for that occasion, and that, now that they were there, would break the reality of space and time enough that the year after that, an even more Satany Satan could be summoned, after which he nuked a city because the illuminati told him it'd bring an EVEN MORE SATANY SATAN to destroy the world, whom he believed, and when he blew up the city intentionally, he forgot to leave it before it exploded. AND I BELIEVED IT?!?!?!?
Great video Dylan! For me, I just can't get past the fact that he's a veritable genius on the level where he can design and build a space elevator, then goes and uses it as part of a plan to bring back an old rival to beat him at a card game.
I always thought it was weird how in the opening credits to Duel Monsters when they show the dramatic zoom ins on Joey, Tea and Tristan and all of their eyes are sparkling and then there’s Kaiba. No soul in his eyes at all
Judai and his parents ask Kaiba to send you yubel to space along with the cards that Judai Drew so It’s impossible that Kaiba would know that Yubel would lead to so much, and Kaiba probably was able to fight darkness, he is literally Seto Kaiba this is the man who stopped himself from getting erased with technology.
Kaiba seems like a true Christian in DSOD movie when he believed in the return of Atem. Atem feels like he's Jesus returning, that's why. The faith that he had for the return of Atem made me overwhelmed.
@@animanga9597 yeah bro, he's kinda like Vegeta in Dragonball Super at the Tournament Of Power when he defend Goku against Belmond that he could really attain Mastered Ultra Instinct. That heavenly feeling that make you smirk because you know the tables will surely turn and something would happen in a great victory.
Indirectly responsible for certain events? Yes. Intentional? Absolutely not. But this is all in good fun, so don't feel too bad if you enjoy an entertaining theory.
The only question I have is why didn’t Mokuba stop him? And what happened to him? I feel like Kaiba would at least listen to his brother, so where was Mokuba?
Another thing to add is while it is an alternate dimension, it is absolutely possible that the Academia from ARC-V was started by Kaiba just like the one we know from GX. This would also make Kaiba the catalyst for all the deaths and horrific acts in the Dimension War.
Except there is no possibility. Kaiba created duel academy. Not responsible for its headmaster or whatever to be batshit. Raise a split being of Zarc into a sociopath to kill everyone and wage war. You have no proof Kaiba is even still around you biased toxic hater.
Kaiba isnt good but he isnt bad either. A lot of what kaiba does is for the pursuit of personal power through technology. But after all kisara is the soul of blue eyes and she pretty much gave her life to save kaiba. I doubt she would have bound herself to him if he were pure chaos and evil.
Marik: i sent people to the shadow realm and killed my father Kaiba: you're like a puppy, watch this [Ruins countless lives, drives someone to suicide, tries to murder Yugi and friends, and even made the virtual simulation of death]
If you think about it being sent to the shadow realm is slightly worse than dying, at least with death it's mostly instant and your soul is free(depwnding on the circumstances). While the Shadowrealm is literally hell and possibly you could be tormented there forever.
@@mfznal-hafidz8592 they existed before Kaiba, considering one of the flashbacks from season 3, shows Vector and Nash(Shark/Reginald) playing a shadow game. Don Thousand manipulated that particular chain of events for eventual revival, and that occurred thousands of years before
See, there’s just one hole in this theory: in DSOD, Kaiba creates technology that is capable of preventing exactly this kind of magical interference. So even if he was a target, he’d be able to shake it off really easily. Side note, Kaiba’s pride would never allow someone else to “help” him acquire what he wants.
I've read the manga, seen all the shows, etc. Kaiba is ruthless, insane, was evil at one point in time , etc however calling Kaiba the antichrist is a huge stretch. This theory doesn't discuss the fact that Atem and Yugi both impact Kaiba profoundly and part of why Kaiba talks about friendship, teamwork, etc being for fools is because of how lonely and isolated he is. There's hardly anyone on his level , he believes humans are isolated beings (furthur evidence of a lonely human not a evil being) and his desire to be the best may be prideful but he's not evil because of that. I'm not trying to be a closeminded my favorite character is perfect type of fan haha I just think there's way more depth to Kaibas humanity and the villian label doesn't fit him really. In season 0 / early manga maybe because he's absolutely dark but so is Yami Yugi/Atem. I love the creativity you put into this theory but Yami Marik, Yami Bakura, Don Thousand, Darkness, etc all were evil and had hosts. Kaibas evil and darker actions are his own choices which in a way is darker than it being atrributed to Satan. Do some of Kaibas plans hurt others?... yes 100% but that doesn't make him evil the further yugioh goes on. Also furthur evidence of more light or good within Kaiba is his love for Mokuba , his opinion on the magic in the show changing over time, his opinion on Joey somewhat changing (he thinks Joey will never make anything of himself which is part of why Joey annoys Kaiba ... they don't measure success the same way). Hope my ramble makes sense. Haha.
All that development could have broken apart after Atem left and yugi + his friends split going to study living their life etc ... maybe he couldn’t deal with that ... he tasted the feeling in having „friends“ in some way - he felt his positive development and their impact - but after they were gone it was worse than before cause he actually had feelings he never had and now everything of that was taken away from him - probably that drove him even more insane
ULGROTHA not just talking about the timeline but moreso the center idea of the theory. In that way Don Thousand is applicable he's a legit malevolent diety. That's what I'm getting at.
When it comes to the Darkness thing I legit think that because of mental torture by Atem he was able to make it out pretty much unscathed mainly by the mental fortitude he gained from the experience but the also the fact his mental/sanity state is so broken I doubt Darkness would know where to begin. Whith that said it is 100% in character for Seto to be like "Better end the world at its peak because once I die it's all downhill."
Kaiba isn't the best of people but antiChrist gee that's something. But kaiba does do a lot of antagonistic things towards his "friends" and puts them in harm's way due to his own selfish desires so yeah this would explain his behavior.
I mean Blue Eyes is literally known as a dragon of great destruction hell its card literally reads barely anyone who encounters it lives to tell the tale.
I thought of a way to apply the theory to the other ygo series,zexal-He caused the events that led to all of the conflicts in zexal so that in arc v-the world can broke apart for the chance to face atem again but due it failing it lead to him making sol tech.vrains-he is the real creator of ignis and brainwash revolver and the other knights to thinking it was revolver father to make sure he doesn’t get caught in his plan to use the ignis to recreate atem but it fail so he brainwash the knight of Hanoi to destroy them in order to get rid of anything that remained him of his failure which lead to him fusing his company with another company to make Goha and to take over a city in order to fund his plan to duel atem the same way he did dsod-sevens
In Duel Links, if you set Kaiba (DSOD) as your character for a duel, he has dialogue you can choose and 2 of them shows his face change to insanity. Like the new Duel Disc is messing with his head not to mention his obsession with the Pharaoh.
6:43 Correct me if I’m wrong, but after rewatching the final duel between Yubel and Judai I remember clearly that he/she spoke of fusing 12 (not seven) dimensions together. In official Yu-Gi-Oh wikki there is also an article about Duel Monsters Spirit World, which says that it consists of 11 dimensions in total. Yubel wanted to unite all eleven with the human dimension - that’s where number 12 comes from. Other than that, the theory sounds extremely logical, but if you apply it to the manga incarnation of Kaiba, not the anime one. The latter has far more compassion and is less of a madman (since the events of first seven volumes of the manga, including Death-T, are non-canon to anime and are kind of replaced with the events of DM’s first episode). As to Kaiba’s involvement with Momentum’s tragedy during 5Ds - the company most likely kept his name even after his death, so people running it might have not been him at all and thus acted like morons (who obviously care more for money than human lives) deciding to kill Yusei’s father. It’s hardly believable that Seto, who treats employees of his with honor (when Isono and the other guy remain with him during the fight against Doma, he says he won’t forget their loyalty) will order to murder the professor, who had been responsible for building the reactor, thus proving himself more than loyal to the company. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing such an interesting theory!
I just don't think Kaiba would help anyone, Devil or Saint alike, without a bottom line. Hell he likely wouldn't help anyone even with a bottom line. Kaiba is the type of man to look down at the devil as a lesser entity.
@@abstraction6212 Probably for the best lol. DSOD was a manga continuation anyway. I don't think he wrote any of the other mangas, so the film is the true successor.
You should do a yugioh madness table, like people do with music. Take maybe 6 duellists from each series and randomise them in a knock out format until one wins, and talk about why each duelist would go through
Kaiba pulled Obelisk from the ground in the new movie, through sheer willpower. Couldn't he have just beaten the darkness with willpower bs too? I think so. Kaiba most likely was just too strong for it.
This makes way too much sense..part of me wants to say it’s happenstance just because you know it’s still a Shonen anime lol but these facts definitely got me onto your side of the opinion pool..thanks for working so hard on this Dylan
Yep, I always knew how his actions screwed up GX so much. Like Saiou literally went in there and said. Hey I wanna build a cult in your school and he was like "yeah ok" Also, "Illiaster it's everywhere, media, politics, military" Illiaster= Illuminati
I always thought zorc was the devil and darkness is more like the grim reaper and I could see if you say kaiba was suppose to be zorc originally but then they went with bakura and that whole back story then I could see that but other than kaiba owning the island he has no real ties to darkness (espeically being a billionaire and all) since zorc and darkness I believe are 2 different beings and probably wouldnt work together other than that though I do agree
DYLan how could you say that about Kaiba, he only send yugi's grandpa to the hospital only because grandpa didnt gave seto the blue eyes card, he fired 5 professional businessman, almost comits suicide in order to win a duel and in season 0 he tried to kill yugi and his friends how could you say that he is the antichrist?
Yeah he also blew up an island after losing to a children's card game and he gave them 2 hours for everyone to leave the island before he blew it up at least in the manga (because the duel between Marik and yugi was happening) kaiba it's such a nice guy
@@oresti9271 he's kind of both good and evil he loves his brother and even allows orphans in kaibaland for free he's just a litral ass to yugi and his friends
This is a long one but if you read in sure it'll be worth your while. If you learn about the real ancient Egyptian counterparts of yugioh then this would make even more sense. Seto Kaiba obviously is connected to set from ancient egypt or Kemet, the millennium rod is called the waas scepter and is used by set which represents power, on the top of the scepter is a animal called the set animal and on the bottom is a tuning fork. Set is supposed to battle apep (which is the incarnation of all universal chaos) every night when the sunboat of ra (the sun) carries some neters(nature spirits or gods) through the 12 gates of the duat. This symbolizes on one level the sun(ra) traveling through the 12hours(anagram for Horus) of the night, and set being the representative of power is supposed to battle apep through the night but is inturn corrupted by apep therefore becoming the vessel for that universal chaos or apep on the planet. Then, set kills his brother Osiris, cuts him up into pieces(sometimes 5 or 14, the number varies in the story but exodia represents the pieces of Osiris also the pieces of the millennium puzzle does as well) and scatters those pieces across the Nile which his wife Isis finds and puts Osiris back together to resurrect him with the help of a few other neters, namely nepthys(sets wife), Anubis and Thoth. All the pieces are gathered except the penis which is kept by set, so in honor she erects a symbolic phallus in place of the missing piece, this is why in architecture, you erect a object, this comes from the first obelisk erected in memory of Osiris, and this is why the name "obelisk the tormentor" is tormenting Osiris because of stealing his manhood. Also this is why obelisk is a symbol of pure power since it represents set and also gets dark on the image of the card around the waist. Now when they did the resurrection, it was a imperfect resurrection and Osiris only came back for a few minutes and inpregnated Isis who later gave birth to there child Horus. Osiris stayed in the heavens and became the God of the heavens which ties into the sky dragon of Osiris. Horus, then has to battle set to avenge his father. Set during all this time, took over Egypt from his brother and the pharaoh Osiris(exodia, also ties into grandpa muoto and yugis father) and in doing so set changed the way of life of Egyptians where to get into heaven, you had to essentially buy your way into heaven changing maat. This is why seto Kaiba is the richest man on the planet and is running the economy through duel monsters which actually explains lots in our society today with the elites and secret societies, as you can see secret societies like the society of light(great white brotherhood/galactic federation of light in real life), illyaster(illuminati) and more have large influences in the show and in real life. So the Pharaoh and all main characters are incarnated to continue the everlasting battle between light and darkness, because as society grows there will always be darkness to try to influence people to destroy what has been built to return back into darkness rather than keep moving forward. These main characters represents Horus on many levels, for ex the etymology of the word Kuriboh goes back to the word for Griffin or cherub, cherubs are the Christian representation of griffin, and the the Griffin is the Greek representation of the Sphinx which is the guardian of the pharaoh as well as all cats. You'll see that there are sphinxes without wings like in Egypt or sphinxes with wings like in Sumeria or Greece, in Sumeria it's called the anzu bird. This is why the cat phaorah in gx goes with Jaden through the desert to act as his protector as does Kuriboh and winged Kuriboh for yugi and Jaden. The Sphinx and Griffin. This is also why the winged dragon of ra is so important, even that one seemingly important gx episode of the guy who made the fake ra card and dueled Jaden but Jaden had a connection with it and used to win wasn't actually filler but symbolizing who his character was. The reason also why Jaden attacked slifer with neos had multiple meanings, one is cause the duel which was a dream was for Jaden to get his ability of limitless potential which comes from the darkenss(sleep for ex) and endless possibilities back so being able to have a dream and chase it means that regardless of how good he is perfection isn't real, this was the role of Zane and what he was there to teach Jaden. But the fact he was in the desert right after that scene shows you also it's because he never reached the level of atem, if you look at the kaballah tree of life which you may not be familiar with, 1.bp.blogspot.com/_opS7ZcZqLsg/TC3dArYLGXI/AAAAAAAAAds/ANhq7Zi7_4g/s1600/TreeofLifeKabbalah.jpg atem is at the top which is called kether. Jaden symbolically kept going back to he desert, the desert in season 3 when duel academy was transported, at the end of season 4 after his duel with atem, what it is, that sephirah on the tree of life called daath symbolizes the desert and when you go through daath which is the only way to kether(there's a specific path to reach kether), daath will take you to another tree called the qlippoth or also called the shadow tree which deals with demons and other dark entities while the regular tree deals with angels and what not. He was essentially traveling through daath the entire time of yugioh gx, and this show was Jaden yuki learning about his dark side as well as the rest of the world but for Jaden to essentially come to terms with it because that's the only way he'd grow. As you can see tho the show ends with him traveling through the desert cause he's someone who will help people connect with there dark nature or shadow self as he has by merging with the supreme King and Yubel so people can overcome darkenss and actually advance themselves and therefore civilization. But as people grow so does the potential for darkenss and this is why in 5Ds, the society was able to grow so much but so was the threat which lead to the new characters now needing to grow to overcome this new threat repeating this cycle. 5ds deals with the 5th dimension mainly time which you can figure out what that's about. Also accel sychro deals with activating the light body, Rainbow body, bi frost, merkaba or whatever you wanna call to battle the new threat which has evolved accordingly to society. Now when neo domino blows up and the timeline splits, this is why Leo Corp becomes huge in the alternate dimension because Kaiba Corp is gone in that reality, but I'm sure you know this. Kai & ba mean earths soul, so he was essentially a reflection of the state of the world that his past incarnation set created and now seto Kaiba had to deal with the karma which is most likely why he'd have to die alone and miserable as you said at the end. The 5D's characters overcame these cycles that were created by how people used duel monsters considering darkenss said these issues were created by how people manipulated the power of duel monsters aka creating so much negative karma it'd take especially strong characters to deal with it. Another side note and a couple other things, atem and the punishment games in season 0 were him instilling karma or maat on people that broke these rules and there punishment was according to there crime. It was usually very intense because of how far the people has fallen from there original good nature (when people and duel monster spirits were on in Atlantis times) and reflected the current evil of there heart so it actually wasn't extreme or unjust it was just a reflection of there heart and the society were in. The three Egyptian gods represent the 3 main elements being air(ra) fire(slifer) and water(obelisk) and represents ra&horus, Osiris, and set. Shadi represented Anubis, Ishtar is isis, that one card maat with all the millennium pieces in it is symbolizing the restoration of maat from the corrupt concept of the rich go to the heaven like in the movie Elysium(set/setos decrees as pharaoh) to the good of heart go to heaven(decree of Osiris reinstilled by Horus/atem). Your theory of set being the main villain is basically correct cause in short all the evil on the planet is because of his ancestor set who you saw become pharaoh after atem change the rules of getting into the afterlife which created so much negative karma and issues that multiple Incarnations of just rulers had to come to reinstill maat, balance the darkenss on the planet, show people the value of being good, and overcoming this karma by constantly defeating there personal darkness to let themselves shine in the world. Yugioh is really about that and in totality showing you how far humanity has gone from walking side by side with the spirit realm in the Atlantis ark, to manipulating and using spirits for personal gain all the way to trying to reconnect with the spirit realm in a more artificial way more and more as the show progresses. The timeline split and how virtual and augmented reality is so key shows you also how far that that divide is becoming considering how only few people can see card spirits per show like yugi, judai, manjome, Johan, ruka etc while everyone needs holographic, augmented or virtual tech to see spirits hence disconnecting them from nature and the natural world where spirits exist that much more, and who implemented this holographic tech, none other than seto himself. There's much more to this, but I'll have to cut it here hope you took this in
Noc Timereaper nah Zorc represented apep, it's sets job to battle apep every night and when he killed Osiris and took over, Horus had to avenge his father and take down set, after doing so he was responsible for battling apep every night when the sun went down. After yugi took down seto/set, he had to handle apep or Zorc which was the evil itself controlling everything. Seto represents set
Kaiba asked satan to bring back Atem to duel him( I am sure that he lost to him tho, since they said that Judai and his ghost friends where the last people on earth by the Judai VS Darkness)

He would of won that duel in a couple of ways if not for both Noah using Mokuba and if the writers made him do better plays with certain cards that he could of like Ring of Destruction, like we all know he would of actually done. Kaiba’s a great duelist, some duels like his own just suffered from bad writing, and he’s an incredible character which is a fact they can’t be denied unless you’re just a blind dumb hater like yourself

Noah easily would have used his life point boost ability before kaiba summoned twin headed thunder dragon. You ignore it just cause its about seto kaiba. Incredible characters dont whine like babies about losing a card game to a 5 foot tall teenager in high school (yugi is only 5 feet). Kaiba sucks dick.
Sevens Review: I live in Japan and I just watch Sevens on TV. I won't give any spoilers. All I can say is that it definitely doesn't feel like a Yugioh series and has a more childish feel to it. We're introduced to all of the main characters and they feel a bit generic for anime characters, especially the class president Gakuto with him panicking over penalties. However, a few characters show some suspicious things about them. Nothing is revealed about Goha Corporation, but a quick still shot makes it seem like an evil organization as all of the "employees" are wearing masks. And the featured duel is extremely short. Also, the ending theme has a very childish feel and continues with the 7 theme. It doesn't really show anything interesting, but it does reveal a bit about Romin's character. There's a lot of references to Japanese school life.
Is there any explanation as to how the Hologram man has a Blue-Eyes White Dragon? Don't tell me what it is if there is an explanation, I'd just like a "yes" or "no."
@@Crimson_Dragon01 ok so they just threw away Blue-Eyes White dragon. If the new Yu-Gi-Oh has the balls to do that without referencing Kaiba in any way, I don't think it's even worth watching.
Dylan: Kaiba is working and is inferior to the Devil, aka, Darkness. Me: Does it mean that considering Judai has defeated Darkness in 1v1, Judai is better than Kaiba?
Didn't think about how the unknown "man from Iliaster" who talked to Godwin looked so similar to Kaiba, which is interesting because that character is never explicitly revealed in the anime as far as I know despite basically starting everything in the Dark Signers arc.
Truman trying to drown Kaiba in sorrow: what?! Why aren't you suffering in anguish?! Kaiba: bitch i AM anguish! Now put your duel disk on, i have 40 seconds of free time.
This is one of the craziest theories I’ve heard so far and I love it! I’m really hoping there’s some kind of connection between Kaiba and the Hologram Man in Yugioh Sevens - maybe a future theory video? ;)
It is in his genes go be evil. His biological father 3,000 years ago was the commander of zorcs army. Not to mention he was always ruthless back in egypt. Except with kisara. I feel like there’s a chard of zorc’s malice that fused with his soul. He isnt 100% seto.
I think even if he's not actually possessed or even actually intending evil, his actions in the long run have resounding negative consequences. Like, simply the fact that he obsessively drove duel tech forwards due to his grudge against Yugi? The fact that without his involvement, Yugi would never have been found by Pegasus or would have been found later? The fact that he started the Battle City tourney, pioneered Duel Discs, and messed with VR so much? He took their world from the tech level of the mid-90s (VHS tapes, etc.) to something we might consider 22nd or 25th century. His holograms are more advanced than the ones seen in Star Wars! Solid, with the ability to blow shit away. Even if he means absolutely no harm in the aftermath of the Duel Monsters anime, his actions changed the whole economy and tech level of their world. I can't imagine all that high-ass tech was constructed without any labor violations, either. Think of the fact that our electronics these days rely on lithium and coltan mined by underpaid or even enslaved laborers. In a world absolutely obsessed with a card game and the holograms used for it, the tech volume and carbon footprint would be massive. It's possible he's done a lot towards sustainability and ethics- but we've known him to cut corners and rush in the pursuit of the fanciest shit. Elon Musquito WISHES he had the tech prowess of Kaiba Seto. It's a damn good thing he doesn't.
Really interesting theory, Dylan! Kaiba also let Saio do whatever he wanted when they went to the city. Isn’t it confirmed that Zero Reverse was due to the evil gods and not darkness? And if Kaiba is “linked” to darkness, I couldn’t see him aligning to a different demon.
During this whole video I was like "Bruhhhh", five minutes later "Dudeeee", at the end of the video, well shit one of my favorite characters is the fucking Antichrist (Mind blown) Good theory, it just makes me sad that he went down a path of evil 💔
Kaiba is the complete definition of " If I want something , I will get it no matter what!. " I think that's why we love him so much because we in our own little way wish we could have that type of drive. Overall I see him as the anti-villian who does shiesty shit but also does good which is basically what being human is all about; fucking up and trying to be better than yesterday.
if you ever see this comment, could you make a video about the change in kaiba's character in the og duel monsters. it ALWAYS confused me even as a child: they start it off by making it seem that kaiba and yami have been enemies since ancient egypt but when the show eventually travels to egypt in season 5, kaiba is a priest in atem's court and both atem and seto are on very good terms with each other?? like what?!?!?!?! I have always been so confused by this and find that it really take some of the weight out of the battle city duel between yugi and seto showing them as almost "mortal enemies" throughout all timelines but the shown is that priest seto is one of his right hand men. thankssssssss
I bet the only reason he didn't come back after helping cause Zero Reverse was because the pharoah wasn't around, and without him there's no reason to return as a dark signer, also I wonder how many old yugioh character's were killed in Zero Reverse, like probably Grandpa Muto if he didn't die, maybe Jonouchi, Honda, Mokuba?! His own brother. He just left the three phantasm cards under Duel Academy just to cause chaos and help Satan, and like this was a dude who started Battle City just to get the god cards, but then like no pharaoh. He probably would have helped bring down the Ark Cradle if he was alive, as well as being the king chesspiece of Sol Tech and funded the lost incident to create the Ignis and we all know how that turned out. He probably did start Arc-V's Duel Academy like there were Kaiba Corp duel disks in that show, he probably invented dimensional travel and gave it to Leo in the hopes of resurrecting Zarc, in fact that's probably what he did do before Zero Reverse happens, he just travels the multiverse setting in place horrible events, like he was probably responsible with whatever Don Thousand was up to in Zexal, is in charge of Goha Corp in Sevens and manipulating the hologram man to uh probably resurrect Satan, again. And a final thought how many evil gods did one world have?! Like the God of the Netherworld aka Earthbound Immortal jead honcho archenemy of the Crimson Dragon, that other Earthbound Immortal Crimson Devil Red Nova who like could probably beat the God of the Netherworld, also are the Netherworld and the world of Darkness the same place or different? Was the shadow realm canon all along and like Zorc, Darkness and the God of the Netherworld are just the same dude, maybe having an Identity crisis, or like all the evil gods just do there own thing, maybe compete to see who gets the most souls or get Seto to do the evilest thing. Also the Egyptian gods exist in this universe so let's say the entire pantheon exist, and like wasn't Priest Seto doing evil things too, but then he met his hot dragon girlfriend Kisara and like got distracted by her so Bakura came along and was the bad guy for that arc, also I bet Yami Marik, Bakura and Seto would have been best friends if it wasn't for the fact that insane evil people usually try to kill each other. But it's all ok he just wanted to build a theme park for orphans and make a mobile app so that makes up for being the Antichrist
I can just picture that scenario where Kaiba created Death-T after waking up from those nightmares. (Wakes up sweating from the nightmares) Kaiba: That was a terrible nightmare, well time to create a death game tournament since I'm rich and need to get rid of those nightmares"
Another thing to look at (although this is a shot in the dark) if you have ever played Jump Force, I'm sure someone has noticed that there's a plethora of characters from each anime from protagonist to antagonist. Sometimes there's multiple. In Yu-Gi-Oh's case there's only Yami Yugi (Atem) and Seto Kaiba. Now why would they do that? Why not have Joey, Marik or Pegasus? Maybe it's a dumb thought but had to throw it out there lol
Lol easy target for darkness allow me to laugh out loud Let me make it clear Seto kaiba isn't just a president of a multinational company specialising into duel monsters and technology He is the reincarnation of priest seto Priest seto is stronger than Atem And atem always said to seto kaiba Believe in the heart of the cards Traduction: *Believe in your ancient powers* By pride he never accepted his ancient powers atleast until in dsod He summon obelisk by its will So we can say that seto find a way to use its ancient powers with his technology The thing is the Kaibacorp is on the center of the plot of DM,Gx and also 5ds Thats why we heard of seto kaiba or a reference to him In those shows If he was the anti christ his ace would be Red daemon dragon Not blue eyes white dragon which represents good One *theory* i have seto kaiba after dsod Is travelling time and dimensions If you guys played duel links To many characters he will say When he wins *you are weak as the original*
Now that I think of it, I agree with that. By the end of season 3, Kaiba conquered his past. He no longer holds that as an insecurity, especially after seeing how truly evil his step-father was. He confronted his dark past and conquered it.
There are a good number of arguments for why Seto Kaiba is the protagonist of the Yugioh "Dark Side of Dimensions" movie along with Yugi Muto, but I personally believe (just as headcannon) that Kaiba was also more than a rival in Yugioh "Duel Monsters." This isn't true, but I like the thought of going through "Duel Monsters" from Kaiba's point of view as the secondary protagonist (or a deuteragonist) of some sort. This would help viewers better understand kaiba's obsession and his insanity. I like Kaiba; I feel he deserved a bit more.
Also, remember Seto Kaiba before Atem's guidance back in episode 1 of Yugioh "Duel Monsters?" Now, try to imagine if he never met Yugi Muto, his grandpa or Atem.
But the anime has Kaiba witness the Cerimonial Duel between Yugi and Atem, so while he never beats the Pharoh fair & square, Kaiba DOES get some closure in his life and can move on.
Kaiba: *Laughs like an actual lunatic in the middle of a broadcast*

As punishment for Mokuba having lost to Yugi at capumon in the Death-T challange. I can't even picture Seto from DM doing something like that.

Screw the rules, I'm literal Satan!

@@heroeus8173 i want you to stop overrating kaiba!
My thought exactly. There is little profit from the destruction of the planet.
Even Kaiba.
But it was Kaiba's plan/idea to send cards to be infused with space waves in general to begin with
Kaiba: Sure kid. I'll send this evil looking card to outer space. After all, I know you are Yugi's biggest fan correct?
@@ChaddyFantome no it was his idea to introduce duel monsters to aliens.
But if we consider season 3, which wasn't even touched in this video, Kaiba was able to conquer his dark childhood and Gozaburo.
3 years later, but I will add that there's also the fact that he cheated to even get adopted
He opened kaibaland for free for orphans since him and mokuba were orphans
What are you talking about? Manga comes first before anime. Thats the original yugioh story line. Why do you prefer the modified anime over the the original one?

Only maybe a chance to duel Yugi if he ever dies.
"I talked about how Kaiba is the Devil and scared the crap out of you... HAVE AN AMAZING DAY"
Bro wtf hahaha
Seto's insanity is apparent during darkside of dimensions.
M S maybe.
ULGROTHA not just talking about the timeline but moreso the center idea of the theory. In that way Don Thousand is applicable he's a legit malevolent diety. That's what I'm getting at.
When you think about it, was Mokuba even mentioned in this video?
Kaiba makes Marik and Bakura look like saints.
So not only does he have devilishly good looks, he’s actually the devil
*Checks out*
I am convinced that Seto Kaiba is the perfect Anti Christ of The Yugioh Duel Monsters world.
Kaiba isn't the best of people but antiChrist gee that's something.
But kaiba does do a lot of antagonistic things towards his "friends" and puts them in harm's way due to his own selfish desires so yeah this would explain his behavior.

Lol crazy theory
In Duel Links, if you set Kaiba (DSOD) as your character for a duel, he has dialogue you can choose and 2 of them shows his face change to insanity. Like the new Duel Disc is messing with his head not to mention his obsession with the Pharaoh.
In all fairness, the Duel Monsters anime did much to launder Kaiba's image. And he's still pretty tame, compared to Yami Marik and Yami Bakura.
6:43
Correct me if I’m wrong, but after rewatching the final duel between Yubel and Judai I remember clearly that he/she spoke of fusing 12 (not seven) dimensions together.
Kaiba is the type of man to look down at the devil as a lesser entity.
it's sad the kaiba corp ended by exploding, he transformed the company from military to gaming yet it ended the same
Also further proof, somehow Kaiba gets to the afterlife to duel dead Atem... How could he have TRULY achieved that
dsod retcons GX and everything after.
@@abstraction6212 Probably for the best lol. DSOD was a manga continuation anyway. I don't think he wrote any of the other mangas, so the film is the true successor.
*Remembers back to Kaiba laughing maniacally as he flys away from an artificial island he built as there's still people on said artificial island*
I saw the title of this video and thought: "a little late for April fools dont ya think?"

If kaiba was in gx more often that would be awesome
Yep, I always knew how his actions screwed up GX so much. Like Saiou literally went in there and said. Hey I wanna build a cult in your school and he was like "yeah ok"
Also, "Illiaster it's everywhere, media, politics, military"
Illiaster= Illuminati
You've convinced me that this is true.
So is the meme, “Blame Kaiba” now? 😂😂😂😂😂

There's much more to this, but I'll have to cut it here hope you took this in
Huh! Thought that Zorc/Bakura was supposed to be the ones mainly representative of Set in Yugioh?
Noc Timereaper nah Zorc represented apep, it's sets job to battle apep every night and when he killed Osiris and took over, Horus had to avenge his father and take down set, after doing so he was responsible for battling apep every night when the sun went down. After yugi took down seto/set, he had to handle apep or Zorc which was the evil itself controlling everything. Seto represents set
Kaiba asked satan to bring back Atem to duel him( I am sure that he lost to him tho, since they said that Judai and his ghost friends where the last people on earth by the Judai VS Darkness)

In all honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if kaiba actually ran Lliaster back before season 3 of 5ds made the show unwatchable.
when your character is so insane and irredeemable but you gotta make a non-evil rival: *mind crush*
It is in his genes go be evil. His biological father 3,000 years ago was the commander of zorcs army. Not to mention he was always ruthless back in egypt. Except with kisara. I feel like there’s a chard of zorc’s malice that fused with his soul. He isnt 100% seto.
Awesome video! Great theory that makes a lot of sense. Keep up the great work!
Seto is the one bossing the devil around.
Seto Kaiba was my favorite person on Yu-gi-oh. His dialogue was just gold!
Back at it with your Kaiba is the "True" Villain of Yu-Gi-Oh! theories lol Great Video Bro! I would buy your theory :D
He's really the Tony Stark of Yugioh. All the villains exist because of him.
The world revolves around Seto Kaiba...
And yet Seto is still my husbando
Good luck.
Dark side of dimensions resets the the Timeline which leads to Zexal and arc V, thus the events of 5Ds happened in an alternative timeline .
I think that maybe Kaiba did tried to weaken the dimensional barrier, but not to let Darkness in, instead to try to duel the pharaoh again
I dont think he would sell himself, but he might've accepted some sort of deal under the impression it would allow him to meet with Atem
I can just picture that scenario where Kaiba created Death-T after waking up from those nightmares.
(Wakes up sweating from the nightmares) Kaiba: That was a terrible nightmare, well time to create a death game tournament since I'm rich and need to get rid of those nightmares"
Kaiba: I AM A DEMON
Me: demon? Oh boy, another one to kill today.
Kaiba: (゜o゜;.
I think you're right. Kaiba could be the devil. Since he represents a business man.
Lol easy target for darkness allow me to laugh out loud
Let me make it clear
Seto kaiba isn't just a president of a multinational company specialising into duel monsters and technology
He is the reincarnation of priest seto
Priest seto is stronger than Atem
And atem always said to seto kaiba
Believe in the heart of the cards
Traduction: *Believe in your ancient powers*
By pride he never accepted his ancient powers atleast until in dsod
He summon obelisk by its will

The thing is the Kaibacorp is on the center of the plot of DM,Gx and also 5ds
Thats why we heard of seto kaiba or a reference to him
In those shows
If he was the anti christ his ace would be Red daemon dragon
Not blue eyes white dragon which represents good
One *theory* i have seto kaiba after dsod
Is travelling time and dimensions
If you guys played duel links
To many characters he will say
When he wins
*you are weak as the original*
Also, remember Seto Kaiba before Atem's guidance back in episode 1 of Yugioh "Duel Monsters?"
Now, try to imagine if he never met Yugi Muto, his grandpa or Atem.
But the anime has Kaiba witness the Cerimonial Duel between Yugi and Atem, so while he never beats the Pharoh fair & square, Kaiba DOES get some closure in his life and can move on.
