"would I trade in my smartwatch for one of these?" "no" smh bro it's a hybrid. It's not supposed to substitute for a smartwatch. It's perfect for people like me who don't like wearing fugly screens on their wrists
Maybe not for everyone, but I want to be less attached to my phone, not more... So this is perfect. Only get notified if something important happens, don't worry about everything else. Seems great to me!
Hello friend great video I like the design of this watch a lot can you please inform if you can adjust time directly on the crown watch or do you have to use the phone app to adjust time, I ask this because I´m thinking on offering one to a older brother that has a phone without android. Thanks in advance.
The vibration is barely noticeable even on level 3. I thought maybe battery was low due to long shelf life, but renewing battery made no difference. Another watch to my collection but prefer to wear my Nuband or old Pebble which have decent vibration levels. Hopefully Fossil will update either software or firmwear to increase vibration. Until then I can't see me wearing it. Guess I could have returned it, but I do like to collect watches.
Good video! Thanks. It confirms my own opinion regarding these kind of watches. I was thinking to buy one in 2018 but fortunately I have dismissed the idea. Today I'm checking back to this reviews because I got one for Christmas hahaha..
I am having fossil Q hybrid watch, the only thinknruins my mind is that it has limited amount of notifications to be saved.. I mean with 3 push buttons only 3 notifications
What's the range like? Basically can i have my phone charging in my room, while I watch TV in the living room and know if I'm getting a call or message?
i prefer the hybrids to smartwatches with the screen the main thing is they look nicer and more 'original' if you know what i mean and when theyre about the same price as most other normal analogue watches from well known brands you might as well
I just purchased Fossil Q Hybrib watch. I want to know will it start showing time only after i connect with my phone ? Also If i set up my account and later if i give that watch to my wife so how she can reset that watch to her phone ?
Not positive we are talking about the same thing.. but for fossil q 0-100 is for step counter.. set a goal and it shows ur percentage throughout the day
Can someone please explain to me how to read the “steps” preset? When I have a watch button set to steps, it moves the watch hands but I can’t figure out how that translates. Today I had walked 7092 steps as per the app; but when I press the button, the watch hands move to 1o’clock? My goal is set as 10’000.
Does this Fossil Hybrid watch have a receive function to sync up with the towers or have world time to automatically change times when traveling between time zones?
It syncs to your phone. So when your phone changes time (which it does when you travel between time zones), the watch changes time too. It doesn't sync to any other source though.
Great review man. Can I ask a question? If you set a contact to a number. Will a WhatsApp message from that contact also cause the hands point to that number?

The dial has small numbers around the edge from 1-31. You have the option of setting one of the side buttons for "Date", and when you push it, both hands point to the day it is.
It is, in fact, not wrong to use IIII as IV, it is more common to see IIII in traditional clocks, there are a few examples, like the Rathaus-Glockenspiel, a very famous clock in Germany which uses IIII instead of IV.
I looked into this recently because I was wondering the same thing. Apparently there is a reason for this and many watchmakers do this. It's referred to by some as the "watchmakers four" and the simplest answer is that it's easier to read on a clock face and provides a more symmetrical look. I found other reasons people mention online but who knows how many are true.
😯THANK U FOR HELPING ME NOT MAKE AN EXPENSIVE Decision. u saved me fr wasting $180 😌 im keeping the smart watch for my son instead of the hybrid watch idea instead.
I betcha you be stuffed doing a review without moving your arms and hands around :)))))))))))))))) Whats the point of this watch I don't get why you would buy it ? Looks great but why ? Do we really need to be a slave to our phone and notifications We might as well have notifications in plants , hopefully I'll be dead by then . Step out side and enjoy the world instead of being dictated by a 5 inch screen
A lot of us just have a cell phone for communication. Phones are used for a lot of useful stuff, such as: Receiving job offers Notifying family of emergencies Being notified when something goes down at work When a friend of family member needs a ride or help And lots of other time sensitive things. It's nice to have a watch to let you know when your phone is ringing or you are receiving a text in case you are outside "enjoying the world", and left your phone inside. Or you are just in a different room as your phone. The watch actually allows you to spend less time with your phone in your pocket all the time.
How is it worst in the "watch world"? I look at it, and I see the time..just like a watch. It also shows me the date. When I get a call or text, I get notified in case I'm not near the phone. I don't need to charge it, I just put it on. I don't need an ugly calculator-watch (which most smart watches look like) on my wrist that beeps at me for everything....then needs to be charged after 5 hours because of all the beeping.

Fossil replaces the battery for free if you have a store near you and my watch has glow in the dark hands for reading the time at night.
You put the leather band into water.. lol xD
Why am I just seeing this! This is perfect for me, I literally leave my smartwatch on battery saver mode the entire time.
Thank you, That was a good review and worth while. We watched a few others first and did not think they helped. You were spot on with your opening.
How does "mode toggle" works?
question: Does the watch vibrate during the entire time the phone is ringing for an incoming call? or does it only pulse/vibrate once?
Only vibrates once

Hi, where is this leather band for the apple watch in 0:40 from ?
1:17 it didn’t took that long?
1:31
Broyher but i am unable to set the time
Does it only work when you use the app?

How has it been?
@@arturoalmeida16 Honestly, I'm wearing it as a regular watch. I don't think is practical nor convenient. I think the idea was good, but not for me.
Hy there. I buy a fossil q hybrid and i didnt find the Q key in the box. From where can i but one??? Thx
Would be perfect if it had a metronome as well as a heart rate monitor. Oh, and support for notifications from any app.
I would like to know how to use the commute button....?? How it all works and yeah.

I think it's the standard Bluetooth range (328 feet)

I like full digital Android smartwatches but I don't like the lag. Are there any in the market that don't?
no, even android fanboys prefer the samsung watches about and have switched
How come yours says fossil Q and mine says Fossil Hybrid??
Whats the name of this watch
Qasim Ayub in the title
So how tell Callander date
Yep! Thanks for making it.

Smartwatch helps you but hybridwatch works with you and I think that's the good part of it,, if you know what I mean.
Does this Fossil Hybrid watch have a receive function to sync up with the towers or have world time to automatically change times when traveling between time zones?

It's got analog hands, so yes.

I don't like always on display. Still prefer analog looks. with this hybrid system, it's lovely. and they looking good too. will hunt for this one.

I just want notifications with a nice looking watch, perfect for me.
Do I have to turn on Bluetooth to use the watch just as showing the time??
No, if you mean in order for the watch to display the correct time. It doesn't require a phone connection.
Hotshot okey! Thanks for fast answer!
This was really helpful, thank you!
Anyone get really annoyed he water tested the watch with the leather straps
Great watch but I wish fossil knew roman numeral because they got the 4 wrong

The Roman numeral for 4 is IV..... NOT IIII. How do you get that so wrong ?

I don't think I have ever seen a watch or clock with IV. Pretty much every one I have seen has IIII.
It's a watch. That had been the Roman Numeral for 4 on clocks and watches for centuries.
Is it waterproof tho?
Nevermind😂
Can you read the time in the dark?

Less battery life, need to replace battery every 15 days
Better to buy normal fossil watch
Yours must be defective, I've had mine for 7 months and the battery is still going strong.
Defective, go to the store and they’ll replace it with a newer one. Don’t get rid of it
I bought a fossil hybridwatch 2 months ago, and like you said. I have to replace the battery every two weeks. It's so annoying.
