OK, now after listening to her anti Brexit, pro-trans rhetoric, I feel she is trying to make a desperate grab for legitimacy by being politically correct and so concerned with contrived and un-authentic characters. Her ridiculous contempt for Wales shows how ignorant she is. She should watch Anthony Hopkin's movie 'Heartland'. I have lost all respect for this woman. She used to ba a not so bad writer. But now the fashion is for lesbian writers to write non-lesbian books. Sarah Waters is another one who has fallen from grace. And it is pathetic for a lesbians to evince such empathy for lonely men hetero men. Besides its an old idea, given much better treatment by Offenbach in the opera Tales of Hoffman.
