This was my first exposure to Gilbert Gottfried. I was super young and for some reason this guy made a huge impression on me. Such a unique and talented person. Rest well.
They filmed this in Fort Worth! The place where they filmed the orphanage was at my elementary school! The orphanage was actually the old building that was the original school, an all girls catholic school. They shot during school season and our class got to sit in when they did takes of the scene where they celebrate Junior's adoption. They did several takes, and during each take I saw the kid who played junior running around the front playing with the ballons that fell. When I first saw him I didn't know who he was, or what they were doing at our school. Then the movie came out! I remember seeing other scenes I could tell were shot in Fort Worth.
Get a checklist of mid 80's through mid 90's movie trailer cliches - this fulfills everything on the list. Right down to "Bad to the Bone" and pets yowling offscreen.
A couple of deleted scenes are in this trailer (0:27 and 2:00) Also, I heard about how this film underwent some re-shoots, months before its release. I believe 0:16 was one of the scenes that was re-shot later on.
The first couple clips in the trailer are part of the magic show scene that got cut. In an interview, Colby Kline, who played the birthday girl Lucy, mentioned the deleted magic show scene. Lucy got in the box and Junior replaced the trick saw with a real saw. So when Lucy got sawed in half, the back of her costume got sliced off revealing her naked backside. This was cut for being too risqué and unsettling.
Michael Oliver, I wish you'd played in more movies like Macaulay Culkin did, your one of my two FAVORITE child actors like Danielle Harris & Macaulay Culkin.
Problem Child was my 2nd favorite comedy movie of all-time beside my other favorite was The 3 Stooges Movie, Car Wash, Grown Ups 2, The Little Rascals, Kindergarten Cop and Summer Rental
This was a slap stick comedy for all ages and every major studio was not in to it but universel studios was like at the script they just finished the back to the future three part trilogy
Little did they know, it was written by the same duo who later wrote Ed Wood, The People vs. Larry Flint, Man on the Moon (which was also from Universal Studios) and Dolemite is My Name!.
The helicopter scene was deleted. Actually a picture on the back of the VHS box. Also, the part where Flo is on the table at the doctors office was deleted.
I think they just retooled the Flo scene; most of the dialogue is in the office scene that made the cut. I remember the helicopter scene being in the USA broadcast version and the picture on the VHS case finally made sense. Same thing in the second movie where there's a picture of Junior and Ben holding ice packs on each other's heads.
Flo was so hot in this movie i especially loved her attitude and when she bitched and yelled she was 10 times hotter. I loved all these things about her wish she was real!
I know a lot of people compare this with Home Alone, but I barely can tell the similarity, but the main similarity I definitely find is Toy Story 1-3 and Child's Play 1-3 comparing but I mistake them for it.
como se llama la cancion del trailer, se que es de los beach boys pero alguien sabe el nombre ? - Since it is called the song of the trailer, that is of the beach boys but someone knows the name ?
This is a classic movie from my childhood, no doubt, but there are a lot of aspects in this movie that would not fly in real life....... If Junior is THAT troubled of a youth, and that much of a threat to society, he wouldn't be placed in family after family........ He'd be placed in a juvenile facility. LOL
@@TheConorsmithusathe writers admitted they got the idea from the article I mentioned and studios were pushing them to turn it into a horror movie but they thought it would work better as a comedy
The girl who played Lucy in the film I had a sister exactly like that same looks personality height weight nearly identical. She had the same attitude to of Lucy who played her every time I watch that film the girl who played lucy I think of my sister of that age.
Babyboy Junior can't be devil he is real trust to ruie breaking such for good new life couse schooIs like movie show must be just changed..so and new time)))

Get a checklist of mid 80's through mid 90's movie trailer cliches - this fulfills everything on the list. Right down to "Bad to the Bone" and pets yowling offscreen.
Junior is like if someone put Macaulay Culkin, Dennis the Menace, and Bart Simpson all in a blender.

This kid makes brat Simpson look like a saint.

By the way, "Problem Child" is Robert De Niro's favorite comedy movie.

The way junior grabbed that cat 🤣 Definitely wouldn't fly today
I was always left wondering what was he doing to the cat that made it jump and attack Big Ben
R.I.P., Gilbert Gottfried.
Problem Child was my 2nd favorite comedy movie of all-time beside my other favorite was The 3 Stooges Movie, Car Wash, Grown Ups 2, The Little Rascals, Kindergarten Cop and Summer Rental
I'll Miss You, Gilbert 😥
I have not seen this film for about 30 years, yet I still think about it whenever I hear about adopting a child. Perhaps it traumatised me.
"He's the Devil!" lol
RIP Gilbert Gottfried and John Ritter
Look how young Gilbert Gottfried is in this film.
RIP

Loved this movie.. Contemplating whether or not I should show this movie to my nephew and nieces.
This movie is perfect for those who have been traumatized from watching Mommie Dearest.
Emmanuel Dunk The only thing about that movie that traumatized me was the acting. Otherwise it was pretty crazy and stupid!
Mommie Dearest is my reality
I just saw the no wire hangers scene an hour ago
"Heress Daddy!"

I don’t care how bad of reviews these movies had, they were extremely entertaining growing up, lol toxic children are comedic gold at times 🤣

Dennis the Menace
Bart Simpsons
Junior Healy
And we currently got Kagura from Gintama.

Wicked funny movie!
The girl who played Lucy in the film I had a sister exactly like that same looks personality height weight nearly identical. She had the same attitude to of Lucy who played her every time I watch that film the girl who played lucy I think of my sister of that age.
