This is a great way to pay respect to those that make Fender guitars. It is a great that an American company is proud enough of their hispanic staff to publish such an amazing representation of their work
Getting lemmo to play on this was genius. He is a jazzmaster fanatic and an amazing guitarist and artist. Best cs video yet! Beautiful guitar! A Jazzmaster will be my next gift to myself.
Just perfect timing, ordered a team built Jazzmaster a few weeks ago! I spec'd it out with my Dad from the Custom Shop catalogue before he passed away so it's going to be special. Can't wait to get my hands on it when it's finally ready!
About time Michael Lemmo gets featured by Fender Custom Shop. The Jazzmaster is the guitar that suits him the best. He gets such great tones out of of those tone machines.
Me too. All the hard work and sacrifice and dedication for decades staying at one Job is not easy at all. They all are doing incredible work and it shows through this video. For the other "haters" who are still afraid to show emotions, then they still got some maturing to do... Keep up the good work Fender team. 👏
Nice to get insight how a team built guitar is done. These people are very skilled and I’m very thankful and honored to play a custom shop guitar built by these wonderful guys!
What a beautiful video! The dedication and pride of the entire team transcends through the screen. It's pretty cool for me to see all the Mexican and Mexican Americans succeeding; as well as the rest of the team, but them speaking Spanish hits home. Also, it's cool to see Jay's face we only get to see his eyes through the mask he wears.
We have a '62 Jazzmaster in our family ... Quite a looker. I pretty well cut my teeth on my brother's new 1960 through a '60 PRO amp. What a sound. This is a well-produced video. These people ... even if they can't speak English ... speak quality guitar, and I appreciate that. British Green with tweet's-eye maple neck ... gorgeous.
Always thought little of Jazzmasters till I uncharacteristically purchased a American Pro 2 Jazzmaster in 3 tone sunburst. I heard demos before that and was astounded how it passed me up. But to date it’s currently my main rig for Punk Rock tones. Nice mid range of a Les Paul and the jangliness of a Strat
I could never really bond with my fenders until i purchases an American Pro Telemaster/offset tele! Changed my whole opinion on Fender and offset guitars! Ended up buying a Jaguar and its also amazing so maybe a Jazzmaster is in my future!
Great work! More videos like this, please. It was inspiring to see all of the input from all of fender’s skilled workers. It was also nice to see a lot of Spanish-speaking workers. Keep it up!
suppoting local/national is good, but is ridiculous when they say anything that doesnt comes from usa is shit xd, as you can see fender has a lot of latin people working for them, so, it is american made anyways the whole continent is america @@donknotts5625
being a builder seems like a lotttt of fun, i’ve been thinking about what i want to do after highschool and racing in the marines has always been first but i’ve known that guitar is going to play a big part after that. i’ve always been obsessed with putting things together from the ground up and the custom shop seems to be a good place
Best advice I can give as someone who was just like you back in the day. Buy some cheap guitars now, and start taking them apart, and hot-rodding them. Get a feel for shaping the instrument into what you envision it to be.
@@soulman4292 already done it man :) shaped a neck, wired my first pickguard and took my favorite squire neck and slapped it on my favorite squire strat body, it’s an awesome feeling
Me da gusto ver que Fender California y Fender Ensenada, México no son tan distintas después de todo. No hay duda en la calidad de Fender y de las manos mexicanas que las construyen.
That is honestly the coolest guitar video I have seen all year thanks Fender .This video is epic and its finally cool to see some of the people that may have built my instrument.
Shout out to "Mariano Arnaiz'" comment- I dig the fact that there are alot of latino staff members being showcased here, as Fender Custom Shop employees..thats great! As a student of Spanish here in the UK, I love the culture and the language and while on holiday in New York, I made a point of speaking Spanish to the many Mexican workers I saw while I was there. They really appreciated the fact that I noticed them and their culture and embraced them! I got the immpression that they are not used to being treated with respect a whole lot of the time, which is a shame. On another note, did you notice how the guitar case was slammed shut at the end of the video and then almost thrown into the cardboard shipping box? I'm quite sure that was not as bad as it looked but I just felt a little more care should have been taken when finishing the process. It seemed to me like so much love went into building that thing, by most of the team, that maybe the packaging team don't get paid as much money as the rest of them?...lol...🤣 Or maybe they were asked to stay late to finish the video and were not paid any extra...lol. Is it just me, or did the treatment of that very expensive guitar, right at the end of the video, seem just a little heavy handed? Probably just me. Otherwise, this was a very enjoyable video to watch and if one day I could afford a $10,000 guitar, I'd love to go for it. Man that neck with all the beautiful natural wood effect coming through, that was a real work of art. Any tree would be proud to end up in a guitar like that (I would think).
My custom ordered Team Built 1960 Tele arrived last month. It is a beautiful thing. It's so cool to see all the work and experience that goes into these guitars. And the neck on my Tele... there are no words.
The very first fender I ever owned was a MIM Strat, absolutely beautiful guitar. I was only 16 when my mother bought it for me but I still remember that guitar to this day. It’s amazing to see the place and possible faces that made my guitar. To this I still love and only trust Fender because of that Strat. You guys have made me Tele’s, Strats and now most recently a Duo Sonic and a soon to be Malibu Acoustic. I know when I buy Fender I’m getting qualify. Fender player for life!
Bought my first Custom Shop Stratocaster in February this year. This film helped me make up my mind to get one, so much pride and passion displayed. Seeing the people who made mine talk so enthusiastically about their work is really special ❤️thanks Fender
Great video! Love the Fender Custom Shop--they are really at the top of their game. Folks seem personally invested. It's got to me cool to know that you're making instruments that will likely live on past yourself, and still be rocking in the hands of people who aren't even born yet. Makes me want to be part of THAT team.
I'm just a few months away from receiving my first CS team build. Couldn't be more excited and I hope I get the chance to thank the team in person one day.
Very nice video. Congratulations to all the team, you do an amazing work there and must be truly proud of it. It's an honour to know the builders of our favourite brands - I remember when Seymour Duncan did a video of their builders and it was very nice. Well done!
Awesome thanks so much for the inside view! I should be receiving my team built Strat in the next few months, seeing the folks that make it happen is great!
Had a chance to tour the factory a few years ago. It is a must see if your in the area! If you don’t already own one of their guitars, you will, soon after the tour. I have 3 and a amp!🎸🎸🎸🎼🎼
Right?!?!? How do you even start a career like this. One of them said they started in the custom shop STARTED lol! What luck! Like going pro you first day playing football.
Amazing Video! High Production Value showcasing the craftsmanship at one of the most legendary guitar builder in the world. I just bought my second Jazzmaster last night but not from the Custom Shop unfortunately. Next time for sure.
Thanks for posting this. The team at FCS are an wonderful group, it’s really great to see behind the scenes and see the people that make the magic. The skill and passion that go into making these guitars is often reflected by the people who use them in great performances. Awesome video!
Awesome video! I own myself two Fender Custom Shop Guitars - 57´ Strat Heavy Relic and 1950 Broadcaster Heavy Relic - Its always amazing to grab them out of the case and play. Thank you Fender!
Make sure you pay these amazing people what they are worth, only certain people can make these what they are. I know know this firsthand, have owned several CustomShops over the years and they are very special.
This is a great way to pay respect to those that make Fender guitars. It is a great that an American company is proud enough of their hispanic staff to publish such an amazing representation of their work
Hispanics have been building Fender guitars and amps since the dawn of Fender ... You know ... the one's people are still collecting?
Getting lemmo to play on this was genius. He is a jazzmaster fanatic and an amazing guitarist and artist. Best cs video yet! Beautiful guitar! A Jazzmaster will be my next gift to myself.
Nice to hear a pro-quality player. You know they didn’t pick anybody.

Dude that cut the belly cut and body contours!!??? That’s freehand? Wow 🤯
Yeah man. That was the coolest suprise in the vid. Imparts real personality in the guitar
If I were making those cuts, the supervisor would be like, have you seen the human body before?
That blew my mind 🤯
When it first went to it, i was thinking "what are you doing???".... serious skill!
Es un honor que en la Custom Shop de Fender haya tantos hispanos trabajando y con tanta experiencia.
Proud owner of two team built instruments and I couldn’t be happier they were made by all nationalities. Shout out to my fellow Mexican comrades.
Lemmo was and is the best person for a job like this. Hope you guys utilize his talents every chance you get. He deserves it for sure
About time Michael Lemmo gets featured by Fender Custom Shop. The Jazzmaster is the guitar that suits him the best. He gets such great tones out of of those tone machines.
Lemmo really brings out the character of this style of guitar.

I held my breath when the builder started to cut the shape of the guitar by hand. It was so fast. How are they so precise???? wow.
Goddamn that’s a beautiful guitar. The matching headstock is *chefs kiss*
Green with tortoise and matching headstock. Ooof!!!
Lemmo is now stacked with choices to play. What a great dilemma!!!!

It's really telling how many people they interviewed have worked there for years and years. That's how you get expertise and quality.
Corona CA baby! Them ladies in the pickup division can wind some sick pickups! Better than all the shaw stuff imo
