Always worth watching, and always worth at least a dollar. No annoying long intros, no long boring sequences, and no annoying BS in general.

Jimmy, 5 years ago in your show Dirty Money you really inspired me to get into industrial design and making, I followed your blog for about a year. I have since become a machinist, drafter and graphics designer, built a large garage shop and become moderatly successful. Then the past two years I've been watching makers on youtube, I kept seeing and hearing Diresta, Diresta, Diresta... I always thought it was familiar; so, I google Diresta and there you are! Very glad I re-discovered you!

Every hammer is a tool, and every tool can become a hammer. Thanks Mr. Diresta another great organization idea.

HATERS will say this is a timelapse but in reality this man is just on a
diffrent level and just works this quickly from time to time he slows
down the vid to let us catch up with his progress.

Cool idea you could also modify it to wrap around an anvil stump. Instant access to your hammers while forging.

The only man in the world who has ever needed a specialized rack for his hammers. I don't know if I'll ever understand why you do what you do but thank god you do it.

    • @1pcfred

Many people have hammer racks. This is not even a very large, or particularly efficient one. The best design is two parallel bars. People have those stacked 3, and 4 high. Check out Tom Lipton's hammer rack. He's got some hammers. Although I've seen folks with many times more.

  • @Ironwright

Tip: You should be blocking jaws on the side opposite of what you are cutting on the band saw if the part doesn't go all the way across. It will help keep the jaws straighter so the cuts aren't so crooked. It's also safer that way. Parts can come flying out if the jaws don't have a hold of the work piece. You can either use your cut off pieces on the opposite side or you can make yourself and adjustable brace by drilling and tapping through the solid jaw. Then you can run threaded rod through and use a jam nut to keep it from vibrating out of position.

Hi Jimmy, I wonder if you could mount locks for lengthier more expensive tools, say like landscaping equipment that you travel around with. You would mount locks upside down and use the U bar as hooks and click it to lock in place. Now that I think of it, would be cool for under desk or tables. Patrick
