Took the Chunel to Paris back in 1998. This was one year after it had opened. Back then French Police boarded at Calais and checked passports. Great video and I miss London. Next time consider Bath and Oxford.

Hello, Eurostar started in 1994 and not 1998. Yes in its early days there were passport checks on the train both in France and UK. You would have departed Waterloo station in 1998 as it's now StPancras only.
