Very smart on your part start doing ford stuff just like cleetus and youll bring all the ford guys watching. Im a ford guy and I started watching you to learn about the Honda stuff.
Mannnnnnn it’s also cool as hell how much Steven and goofy have grown up since the start of this channel!!! What an awesome time it’s been so far!!! A ton of stress sweat and tears for sure but I’m sure it’s been a hell of fun!!!!
When the 4.6 liter modular motor came out for Ford and especially on the cobras with the dual overhead cams, if you bounced it off the rev limiter, it would knock the rocker arm off the lifter, and it was a common problem! Then they moved to this clip design to help try to keep the rocker arm in place! But as I see now, the clips don’t do their job!
It will never happen. He's been "wanting" a racecar for years on this channel and has never made it happen it really. I quit watching 3 years ago realizing it would never happen.
Brett is great on repairs, tuning consulting, and many other things; He isn't good at maintaining his own race car or doing the work to get his race car ready!
Very little damage. Very rebuildable. Both heads won't be a big deal. The one will need a little massaging in around the valves. New seats, valves, springs and guides. The caps can be replaced but will need to be checked for alignment. Find all missing ones if you can. Good luck guys!
Was that engine redlined hard and broke the valve spring. Valve cam may have some sharp lobes and floated the valve. Check cams they might not be the right angle duraction for the valve spings to react fast enough. Missing piston check the crank Good luck on all your endeavors boys
coyote powered civic rear wheel drive lol hose motors are beasts!!! A lot of people don't know fords been using that design for a LONG time!! think it was in a tank they first used dual over head cam motor in the 40's, then in racing, 427 cammer mustang in 69 or 70 I think but could be wrong, and they jus keep updating it. Anyway its cool seeing you guys jump into a different area of engines.
Imagine at Steve’s age he just out manned his own father , Steve with a pony pusher . 4 banger brothers keep your head down 1:49 shanes worst nightmare a 8 cylinder supercharger damn he gunna be having nightmares about LITTLE BIG BRO😂😂😂 enjoy guys have fun
That's going to be a bad ass engine for Skiddy. I know it wasn't said but that look kind of gave it away to me. Going to be bad ass either way. You cant progress thru life unless your learning. Learning new skills is always handy
@@CL-ty6wp Just have a feeling that's the way its going. The "click bait" picture. That's going to be a reality out the hood of Skiddy. Maybe no hood and I'm totally on board for that
I love you guys all love, But full transparency - I'll be watching every second if you focus on a new build - AWD Shoot outs? Should HIT up Manuel at Midnight, he's got some new turbo kits and goodies. Colab and get into the no prep racing! My 10 cents, keen too see some crazy shit
Brent ? Timing failure won't cause that 5.0 to self destruct , it was blown up and that took out the timing. It threw a rod. The broken valve spring is probably what contributed to that because it probably over or under fueled and the piston said " bye bye "..
Mine used to be, My grandma was an automotive engineer and used to race, my mom used to street race and sell cars..and us kids used to just hang out outside wrenching on whatever the hell we dragged home right in the driveway but that's frowned on these days, I hope once I can move and buy a home with a garage we can make it happen again...I miss it.
Man, We have seen that other s2000 the last 2 Christmas tree drags with an LS or w.e going low 7s. Brett has an S2000, that i believe has all it's factory suspension still and overall unmolested car(in terms of factory frame/suspension/mounts etc) im not saying Brett's s2000 needs an LS, an obviously a k20/k24 would be right in their wheelhouse, but a built F20 out of the s2000 would be extremely capable, or a 2JZ built by Viktor and the guys at Induction Performance would be killer in the S2000. It would at least keep it in the JDM family, capable of producing enough japanies ponies to put them deep into 6s(obviously with s2000 having proper chassis work at that point). Brent has an awesome base to build a really fast & epic drag n drive s2000 which could be used as a testament to PFI's capabilities and knowledge seeing a car they built, tune, race and maintain go on long distance drives and be just as reliable.
Tearing down an engine is like an archeological dig. You just don’t know what you’re going to find 😁
Ain't that the truth
Honda guys tearing down a blown up coyote , now that's something you don't see! Go Steve Go

@@bing4332 same here, i have a K 24 for my Opel now
Brent, Jamie, and boys, y'all rock! Those Coyotes are badass. Peace 🤘 🍻 💨
Great meeting you guys today 😊 happy to finally have met you guys, and you're all as cool in person as you are in the videos!
The roller with the click-in lifter was already used on the old Ford Fiesta engines in the 90's, as I remind correctly.

Time to get Sho’nuff back on the track! You are overdue for a great day with that car.
Sho’nuff!

Heck yeah! Sure is gonna be a rad build! Whatever they decide to put it in 😊
This will be awesome to watch get built. I have a gen 1 in my 11 f150 286k miles all original! Seems durable ha ha
Hell yeah! Great to see you guys with this!
Unbelievable little engines they can definitely make some power with boost..
Make sure you pin the crankshaft you’ll spin the harmonic balancer!

Ohhh i know what's going on here! About time!
The coyote is a very sensible base for y'all's initian into V8s. That or a Toyota UZ V8
They have an LS in Skiddy
You guys have to put that in something the internet will hate LOL

I’m enjoying the Cleetus McPFI channel.
Let's go pfi crew
Interesting can't wait to see the surprise!
Love it. Keep em coming!
You guys rock. You keep making videos and we will kept watching them.....
The proper bug catcher is what does it for me. So much better and cooler than the new carbon ones n not having one on it at all 🤟🏻
How cool is this, the boy that built his own twin injector fuel system got a 5.0. let's go kiddo...
if you use a Holley intake you can get a adapter kit from SWS to put a blower on it
Dude this is so badass!!!!
I love a dam good deal! Cant wait to hear it.
136th! I never thought I’d see a V8 engine on this channel Brent. Great find Steven. Roger in Pierre South Dakota
Let’s go!!!!!! Who else has been here since s the start of this RUclips channel?!
A comment for the youtube algorithm. Yes please. Thanks for the videos. 👍
Quad cam V8 Nice!
Was that engine redlined hard and broke the valve spring. Valve cam may have some sharp lobes and floated the valve. Check cams they might not be the right angle duraction for the valve spings to react fast enough. Missing piston check the crank
Good luck on all your endeavors boys
Hell yeah 5.0
Maaan!! I’d love to see that V8 in a rear wheel drive Civic! Wha cha say Steven…?😂💪🏼🦅💨
Put it on bully😮!!!!
Sho'nuff is getting a new swap I see 🤣

Cammer is a sohc in between both banks
@@CL-ty6wp I know all to well what it is. made he comment in reply that ford has been doing it a long time and not just in a dohc configuration.
I'm guessing this is the new powerplant for skiddy? I hope they're not joking about making that blower work 😃
Imagine at Steve’s age he just out manned his own father , Steve with a pony pusher . 4 banger brothers keep your head down 1:49 shanes worst nightmare a 8 cylinder supercharger damn he gunna be having nightmares about LITTLE BIG BRO😂😂😂 enjoy guys have fun
Looks like somebody wants to finally go fast (blower looks sick) ✌🏽😎
Can’t wait for the future coyote content 🎉🎉
I said afta skiddys skid into the wall it's time for a blower motor in it! Best power adder for burnouts!
That's a lotta damage! 😛
That's going to be a bad ass engine for Skiddy. I know it wasn't said but that look kind of gave it away to me. Going to be bad ass either way. You cant progress thru life unless your learning. Learning new skills is always handy
I hope they dont waste it for burnouts.

when u said 5.slow i assumed a non coyote clevland windsor 5.0 but this will be fun
That's going in Steven's civic. Wouldn't that be something? 2000hp 🤙🏼
😂
I’ve seen those cam lobes spin because they’re pressed on, at least on the one I disassembled.

Lol. You lured me in for sure!
Tell gordie to bring himself back to the shop he needs to show that beautiful little face
Brent ? Timing failure won't cause that 5.0 to self destruct , it was blown up and that took out the timing. It threw a rod. The broken valve spring is probably what contributed to that because it probably over or under fueled and the piston said " bye bye "..
Hopefully faster than the 4 cylinder and less likely to blow. Are there upgraded chains to handle more power?
I hope the new looking cam matches the other cams. :p Cool project!
Hell yeah brother ! Been waiting for one of these builds can you do a build sheet build cost
Awesome coyote content
4:43 the barra has the same clip on the lifter
Let’s go !!! 😜👍🇦🇺
Hell yes!!!
Families like this were once the norm.

I know! It's awesome to watch 'em hang out and work together!!
Yessss!!! Some good.old Ford v8 content, a d its a good one, too! Love them coyotes!
Let's Go!!
Would be sick to see this in shonuff👀

Irll go great in a big tire gremlin

Check out the Yamaha v8 that came in the Volvo xc90
Best engine of all time for sure
Its just a conjoined twin 2.5!
