When showing the player profiles, I would like to see the where they are at in the DGPT standings with the points they have in the season. Can you guys make this happen?
That'd be neat. Also, maybe a summary of the players' podium finishes from this season
I'd also like Jomez to break their chain to DGPT company however way possible. The leadership there is questionable. I'd rather not have them taint Jomez more than they already have. I also could be over reacting so take that into account to.
@@tatewinters5565Dgpt could probably take away their rights to film the events if they wanted to. That's a slippery slope. I don't think this would ever be a good idea regardless of dgpt's leadership.
@@tatewinters5565 Jomez is still operating solely because the DGPT bought them out. They were going to fold because they couldnt pay their media rights that they negotiated a few years back. For now, be happy that Jomez largely gets to operate as they did before...because DGN could have just made them fold up shop and do their own thing instead.
@@chrispreperato5562 DGPT asked for wayy too much money. My bet is to price them out and force a buy out. Jomez wasnt experienced in handling that kind of strong arm tactic so he had no choice but to sign away his company. With their audience they could have easily leveraged a fair contract. But whats done is done. Doesnt mean I wont stop complaining though
The camera guys for JomezPro are MOVIN’. Didn’t realize there was so much hustle involved. Mad respect.
Watching them at DGLO last year was amazing, watching these guys RUN up and down the hills with easily 50 lbs of cameras was extremely impressive
During the 20 minute AB and cupcake putting competition, cupcake threw 3 putts. 😂
But he didn't miss! Lmao
Came for this, wasn’t disappointed 😂
Having Brad and his wild form in the intro was a great touch lol
Yeah I saw that lol
You could hear Gannon's mentality in the practice round when talking to Paul after a first shot Paul wasn't happy with. He said, you haven't lost the birdie till the hole is done. "Birdie is still out there." Apply that same mentality to an entire round and that's why a slow start is ok. Because the hot round is still out there and he just keeps hunting it down.
“Pardon me if you’re a hobbit.” 😂
That Intro was fantastic.
A real homage to the greats, the legends, the players of the past, present and future. Hats off to Jomez's creative ingenuity.
simon goes crave roller for a 580 foot hole 🫡🫡
4 ft from hitting the pin
Why is Matt always staring down the camera 🤣
I don't ever want him to stop
They usually ask him to
Attention seeking
Spectrum behavior
Nice to see some of old Simon is still in there
That was so sick! Makes me so sad when he doesn't convert those.
Someone should let the commentator know that it’s not keeping your knees buckled that causes you to pass out, but it’s when your knees are locked straight for a long period of time. They teach this to soldiers who have to stand at attention for extended periods of time. Keep a little bend in your knee to prevent passing out.
That intro was 🔥
Was that Gannon?
@@markmuth2498 yeah, pretty sure
@@markmuth2498yes
Who was the guy jumping around doing tricks?
Agreed and yeah pretty sure that was Buhr
I agree with Jerm on the flags. I would love to see every basket have a flag or some kind of wind indicator someday.
Gannons awkward stance looks like a giraffe drinking water
Yep. That’s it!
Love Jomez. Best PDGA Coverage hands down!!!!
Glad to see a Lizotte on lead card again
Edit: Featured card*
Not the lead card though. Just a feature card
It's featured card
Glad to see Lizotte on coverage again*
After 3 holes I was looking at the leaderboard and there were probably 4 or 5 names I’ve never seen before. Lol! That’s pretty cool!
The only thing the intro was missing was either AB or Wiggins, smashing a disc!
Gannon gave a great read/delivery for the intro! Composed and dynamic with a little edge, but not over dramatic. Well done.
Did Gannon Buhr do that intro? Was fire.
Yo but forreal, ⛽️ station
Sounded like it to me too
Great intro! That took alot of work for sure. & Gannon, you did a great job too!
I’m a simple man. I see Simon and AB and I watch
This card is like aces four of a kind
Hole 5 energy is amazing!
Home sweet home! Been waiting all year for this!
Hole 7 is the only hole on this course I've ever aced.
Lizotte on coverage? I suppose I will watch this week.
Smooth operator BigJerm
“I don’t think Hobbits are real, are they? Apologies if you’re a Hobbit.” -Uli is the best commentator.
31:09 One of us! One of us! 😂
Sick intro Gannon! You have a great commentary voice & you're genuinely funny. You definitely have a great future ahead of you boy!
For Uli's argument about the disc on top of the basket. The links are just holding up the chains but aren't part of the chains. So they don't count! :)
Great video, thank you everyone!
You're very welcome!
@JomezPro I loved seeing that old footage at 0:05. Do you have a source for that video? I’m pretty sure it’s my uncle and I’d love to share it with him!
Yet again another sick intro! Keep it up!
I was playing the USDGC dubs just a few holes ahead of you guys!! That was a ridiculous save that didn't need to happen lol
4:20 The guy just staring into your soul
Can you display all the discs they’re throwing and not just off the tee?
The intros this year have been incredible. I don’t know who is doing the writing but bravo Jomez team🤌
Love the intro!
Spoiler invitation
Would it at all be possible to add disc type and model graphic to all throws, not only the drive? Personally I like to see what type of discs the pros throw in certain situations
Lets go baby!
Does a putt wedged into the basket tray count as good?
Yes
Yes.
The only one I've seen was Paul's ace that didn't count over the baseball field a number of years back. Haven't seen it since, but curious.
@@tannertagg7999 the rules are pretty clear on it. It was not considered in then, it is now.
@@kyleweir689 gotcha- thanks!!
That intro was pure fire!
Gannon did a great job with that intro.
I got curious about Uli's claim that if a disc lays on top of the basket and touches the chains, it's considered in. So I ended up doing a rule deep dive.
Here's the PDGA ruling (807 B):
"In order to complete a hole with a basket target, the thrower must release the disc and it must come to rest supported by the tray or the chains *below* the chain support."
So no, I don't think that counts, at least anymore.
I have nothing against Uli, I'm just a techical guy who enjoys finding loopholes and whatnot.
Completely unrelated ruling that I found and haven't seen utilized:
It's generally known that if you throw OB and your lie is in a place where there's OB between you and the basket, you can move directly away from the basket (optional relief) without an additional penalty stroke. Also works after a 2 meter rule penalty.
However, the OB doesn't need to be between you and the basket. The restriction is that you cannot mark your lie in OB.
So for example if you're on an OB line that is parallel to the line from your 1m relief lie to the basket, you can also move away from the basket as far as you want.
How on earth is Paul coming to that conclusion when the rules clearly state “… comes to rest supported by the tray or chains BELOW the chain support”
Yeah, I didn’t like that take. I would argue no ‘topper’ ever is in, regardless of basket type or chain ‘touching’.
@@lorenbarnhurst paul just parroting he heard some degen articulate tbh
The one argument I can see is if it’s touching one that’s lower than others. If there’s a chain support above the chain that the disc is touching, I suppose you could construe that it’s in
@@Qpods is that below the chain support?
Had never seen the pterodactyl throw before that intro segment. Very cool...
Was this Gannons first Jomez intro bit? Felt historic
Legend has it, by next year this course will be upgrading to mach 3's for better catchability!
What an elite feature card. Looking forward to this year's DMC
Spoiler enhancer
"Good, proper wedding form" 🤣
Hole 8. Legit the definition of a Simon line.
Big Jerm where can I get that hat!?
Yo Paul, it's you never want to lock your legs. Like with solders in formation, when they lock their legs for a long period of time, they pass out. That also happens to grooms during their wedding. Gannon is buckling his legs. There is no way he passes out from that.
I’m with jerm on hole 9 with AB’s drive, I think it was dust from the hill side! Crazy!
I was wondering why I wasn't getting stared at on the live coverage yesterday. I guess dgpt and jomez still have different camera crews?
Rewatch...he stared HARD during the intro and interview with Simon on hole 1. Like...hard.
Hey Paul the leg buckle is only for front to back not side to side. He will be fine! 😊
2016 top knot Uli was a beast.
Great to see ab playing gud again 🥳
add youtube links to the references? @32:10
I know a hole with a steeper hill right infront of the tee - hole 3 at fredtoften in denmark
JERM I love that hat where can I find it?
27:04 Gannon with the Bambi legs stance
Curiosu maybe you talked about it before. Are you bringing back the Putting game or some sort of it??? I remember you talked something about you recorded something in Coles backyard..
Just miss seeing the pros having fun and being creative :D
@@Afropalmen probably patreon exclusive
TALK ABOUT AN INTRO!!! I got goosebumps! And they got my guy Brad hammock in there LFG!!
“Good thing it was Cole”. Right over jerms head
The content is very good
Brad in the intro!!!
Whats up with the logo on Cole's back?
Who wrote that intro? Fantastic
Quick question, when you re-tee, that doesn't come with a stroke penalty?
Yes. Stroke penalty. So Gannon was throwing 3 from the tee. He made his putt, therefore took a bogey 4.
@@ItsAllGood_ ah, so he doesn't take two strokes... 1 for going hazard and another for taking the retee? So there's no double jeopardy? I thought that he would take a penalty for a hazard and then another for reteeing. So that he would have been throwing 4 from the tee. Seems like he should have had to take a penalty stroke to retee.
@@pipertrippyou can’t take two stroke penalties on one throw. Multiple penalty strokes only come from certain rules violations
@@Qpods gotcha... so no double jeopardy. Thanks for the clarification.
SIMON!! 💯💯💯❤❤❤
Incredible intro
VERY GOOD
This card ❤❤❤
What's the story with that overhand throw we saw a couple times in the intro? (like @0:25)
That was KJ USA throwing a grenade, and then Jerm doing his pterodactyl throw
@@nolowputts @0:27 rather and @0:50... Is that the pterodactyl throw?
I think that was a Glitch for the approach on Hole 4 for Simon lol.
This card is a total backhand form clinic
My wife actually locked her knees at her best friend’s wedding and passed out right after they exchanged rings. It’s a real thing. 😂
Dream Card vibes
Simon doing Simon things on hole 8.
If Gannon had made the shot on hole 7, would it have been a "par in one" or a "hole in par"?
Interesting intro. “Hey so there’s really nothing exciting about Iowa. So I guess we’ll talk about disc golf while showing old freestyle footage. You pumped yet?”
jk. just got a tour glow thundy. pastry dye. rock on good sir.
oh man, HOLE 5 is where its at
"GREEN FLAG ! GREEN FLAG ! GREEN FLAG....YAAA !!".
lol
Who's counting? 1st Jerm says "Simon is 2 down, 7 back from gavin"... then he corrected himself by saying "I mean 5 back of GANNON "... Makes me chuckle...
This course makes me want to quit my job and just play disc golf everyday
Jerm on 9: No steeper hill off the tee
Campgaw hole 8, NJ: hold my beer.
9 at Pickard is for sure steeper.
@keithfriestad3949 perhaps but it's also nowhere near as long uphill, and still at a solid 70° angle for the lines. Walking paths are there because climbing up straight I'd challenging with a bag
i think if the disc is on the top of the basket it should count
I hate that wedged discs count they need to change that rule back but I agree that if wedged discs count so should tops
Uli getting feisty with Jerm
Nice Intro. 👍👍
Uli taking 20 minutes to film A.B. and cupcake putting means cupcake only threw 2 putts.
WHAT A LUNATIC SIMON ON 8
Simon not looking simon esk on the greens
Green Flag Green Falg!!
In good conscience, I don’t think I could give myself the putt if it’s touching a chain link on top of the basket.
