The cool thing about Oni (an that initially was not clear) is that even though he is basically a trigger unit, his 3 is still an activated skill so you can use another trigger unit in the team without much issues
The good thing is, there’s a bunch of other street, fighter characters, and Capcom characters that can come to the game. And they seem to be getting more generous with time thankfully
I believe the IP only allows for SF4 characters. We aren't getting sf5 or sf6 characters, nor past games like 3rd strike characters either. And I personally don't think that is going to change because I honestly think this game won't last too long. Enjoy it while it's live and active
As stated above, the only 2 characters from sf4 left are Balrog and Seth. After that we're only getting costume characters and global exclusives (unless they are able to get access to other sf # exclusives).
In my opinion the best thing oni has is his c3,either his defense is weak or his hp,i mean in trial mode it was hard beating a basic team(the first red building in trial with sagat) i still cant beat that actually. You probably need a deff or shiled buff to try to make oni survive longer.
This Oni seems nerfed compared to shadoloo Oni who targets highest health ''and does tons of dmg'' I feel like we are getting nerfed units compared to how they are. A great example is Dhalsim, If you go to trendy cammy trials, in the middle fight there is a Dhalsim there who's super annihilates the backline. It is vastly different from our normal Dhalsim super.

Some of those p2w characters lose to f2p characters. C. Viper is a PvP and PvE monster and completely free. Beast Zangief is the best CC character in the game by far and is free. You'll get pretty far by focusing the right free characters.
You should pair him with Decapre C2 if you have her FS20 she reduces enemy Soul DMG resist and Dodge by 20% (Guardians Mark) Team I have in mind is, Bison, W. Juri, Decapre and Oni Super: M. Bison C1: Witch Juri C2: Decapre C3: Oni Assist: OG Juri - Bison Assist: Mayor Cody - Oni
@@Popcornsh two different factions. Just experiment. Way too many variables to say who's better. Your team comp dictates who's better. I'd personally use Guy C2 before I'd use him as an assist.

The hadouken on his c3 I thought was a part of the c3 not the trigger since the trigger hadouken has a different animation

So the game itself is f2p friendly BUT the acquisition of characters who are new and master/ infernal is p2w heavy
